Chapter 441: Circle (1)

"My money won’t work here. How can I pay for my pants, Annalise?" Giselle asked, worried she might not get the pants she liked now that she realised the money was different. It hadn’t crossed her mind that she would be poor here.

"Your money will work at a few shops. They exchange the money with our scouts who go across the Castro kingdom. I will take care of the pants you picked out and what else you want to buy. You weren’t meant to pay for the pants in the first place when it was my idea. I will send over the money by evening," Annalise told the tailor.

"Of course."

"I have forgotten that you are like royalty here, Annalise. We need to get you to dress up like a queen one day. Something red might suit you," Hieid said, planning for what Annalise would wear.

"You would need to catch me first to make me dress up. I am more comfortable in pants so if you could make them fancy, then I would get dressed up. The knights are quite busy," Annalise said, looking out the window at the knights dressed in casual clothes and walking around with boxes in their hands. "Are they already gathering what they need for the trip back? Rafael is not in sight."

"He must be up to something. Is your birthday near?" Giselle asked.

"It is not. You would have known that by father wanting to have a feast. If it was my birthday, why would Rafael be nowhere in sight? It is like he is hiding from me. Maybe I should ask the knights where he is or better yet, hunt him down," Annalise said, finding the latter to be the better option.

"Then you will appear clingy and it might bother him. You should leave him wherever he is. I am certain that he is off somewhere trying to get familiar with your home while you are here with us. I do agree that he should have come to greet you, but I wouldn’t go to him now," Heidi said, panicking that Annalise might ruin her surprise.

She had one single task from Rafael which was to keep Annalise busy for the day. Heidi didn’t know what was happening for her to keep an eye on Annalise, but she was doing a good job at keeping Analise distracted. Heidi regretted not asking Rafael last night what this was all for, but she wasn’t comfortable with speaking to him just yet.

"You are right. I could have gone to him after breakfast but I wasted time expecting he would come to me. The knights didn’t like to be worried so it isn’t that Rafael has gone missing. Enough about him then. Now that you have your pants, we should go somewhere to make good use of them. You’ll see why they are better than dresses soon," Annalise said, determined to bring them over to the club for pants.

"Something tells me that we are going to be running shortly," Hiedi sighed.

"I’m sure it’ll be fun," Siena said, patting Heidi’s back as she walked by to cheer her up. So far she was having fun looking around so she was up for whatever Annalise had planned for them.

"You’ve been at home far too long to be excited over everything, Siena. You are of no help with getting Annalise to not have us run. There better be men wherever we are going next," Heidi muttered, following the group.

After a long walk in Giselle and Heidi’s opinion, they all stopped at the top of a hill which led down to grass which was being cut by a group of men and women of different ages.

"This is the best place to thoroughly enjoy having pants. Running down the hill, your body moves faster as the wind is in your hair and then you fall on the grass. I did this a lot in my youth. I’ll take you to wash off any grass that sticks to you when we are finished. Who wants to go first?" Annalise asked, being a good host by being willing to go second even though she wanted to run down the hill right away.

"I will!" Siena answered, putting up her hand. She had a weird rush and wanted to let it out by running around.

Siena thought of how her mother or father would never allow her to do this. To wear pants just because and run around freely to then land on grass. It was a good experience of showing that she was free to do as she wanted. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm

"Later we need to address what is happening with her," Heidi whispered to Giselle.

Heidi had worked for a house with a daughter who rebelled for a short moment and did odd things before going back to how she was before. It was one of the weirdest things Heidi had ever experienced because the young woman had acted like spilling something on your dress accidentally and then purposely dirtying the dress some more was the most rebellious thing one could do.

If Siena could, she might try to fly so they had to hold onto her to stop her from being so adventurous.

"Would it be alright if I do not run down this hill? What if I trip and hurt myself?" Giselle questioned, fearing that her body would be clumsy which would lead to her rolling down the hill instead of running.

When she was a child she had never done something like this and her parents had every right not to let her do it. She was far from being adventurous like Annalise and Siena.

"Then you fall and you get back up. If you are injured, I will call for one of the guards to lift-"

"I’m after Siena as long as you call for Thomas to lift me," Giselle said, suddenly having confidence.

"I better get a handsome man with muscles to lift me if I fall. Let one of my dreams happen," Heidi said.

"We must talk about these dreams you are having, Heidi. They are starting to concern me," Annalise teased, stepping back from Heidi coming her way. "Before you leave, I will find you someone to spend your free time with though I still think Michael suits you. Aha," Annalise chuckled, running away from Heidi.

To have Heidi join the fun, Annalise ran down the hill. Heidi chased Annalise for mentioning Michael and realised too late that she was going down the hill. Her feet kept going though she wanted to stop and she ran faster than she ever knew she could.

It was scary at first to not be in control of how she ran down the hill so she reached out to grab hold of Annalise which ended in Annalise being pushed forward accidentally. As Annalise went down, Heidi tripped over her and fell.

Annalise laughed, trying to hold onto Heidi as they rolled down the rest of the hill. Somehow, it was more fun to do it with Heidi than Thomas who was always down for this game.

"We made it," Annalise said, laying flat on her back when they stopped rolling. Her knee ached from falling on it, but she would gladly run down the hill again. "Are you hurt, Heidi?" She asked, looking to her right at Heidi who was silent.

Heidi wasn’t crying so that was a good sign. Annalise also heard Heidi breathing so she had not somehow killed herself.

"I cannot believe I ran down that hill with you," Heidi said, in disbelief of what she had done. She was scared out of her mind, but when Annalise started to laugh and roll down with her, she started to get excited. "Did I break anything? Oh, look at that," she said, moving her feet around.

Heidi raised her feet in the air, enjoying that she didn’t have to be concerned about anyone seeing her legs though that was never something she cared about. Many of the maids back home had seen a lot of her naked body when they were down by the river without the knights around.

Annalise joined Heidi in lifting her feet and waving them around as she had just discovered them. "It’s fun, isn’t it? Is that Giselle screaming?" Annalise asked, sitting up to get a better look at the hill. "It sounds like she is being murdered."

"I can hear Siena laughing from here. Annalise, shouldn’t we get out of the way?" Heidi asked, worried about Siena and Giselle quickly coming their way.

Siena and Giselle were yet to fall but they would certainly fall when they reached where Heidi and Annalise sat. There was no way for the two to stop with the speed they were coming down the hill with so Annalise and Heidi rolled out the way.

Siena purposely fell to stop herself from running beyond Annalise and Heidi while Giselle continued to run further into the field where the grass was being cut.

"Watch out!"

Annalise was the first to get up to help Giselle but found there was no need as she was stopped by one of the men clearing away the grass to take to their animals.

"Woo!" Siena cheered, sitting up as she was ready to do it again. "Is there nothing for us to sit and slide down on since there is a bit of snow left?"

"Well done, Annalise. You created a monster. Lady Siena is officially gone," Heidi said, amazed by the drastic change in Siena.
