Chapter 80: Chapter 80

Pyras peered at Alexis who was busy attaching the pin decoration to the tall floor-length curtain of the foyer. His fingers were nervously itching into his ginger hair and every now and then, he would look between Augustus and Lyndon who were having a conversation.

This time around, he needed to do it without anyone noticing and now was probably the perfect chance, because Alexis had lifted a box and was heading over to pick up more pin decorations.

Pyras approached and the second Alexis walked past him, he tripped her like he’d done, moving on like he wasn’t the culprit, then stopping to glance at her with a confused look like everyone else had.

"Alexis?" Kaelis’s expression was of concern.

Alexis who’d fallen with the box, stared at the floor, at her hands that were shakily balling into fists in pure rising anger.

She was more than sure that it was that moron who’d tripped her the last time that did it again. She’d seen his face.

"I want to bite him to death. Alexis, let me, you have to let me."

Alexis lifted her head and the first person she met their gaze was, Augustus. "Go ahead," she permitted Sereia. But instantly after, a heavy pang slammed into her, sending her flying right into the wall with a heavy thud.

"What the fuck?" Kaelis blew his eyes wide.

Augustus quickly rushed towards her as she coughed on the floor, rising on all fours with her back rising and falling in heavy breathing.

"Alexis! Alexis." He grabbed her arms to pull her to her feet. But Alexis smacked his hands away.

She stood by herself and proceeded to stagger to her feet, the strands of her hair falling over her face.

When she raised her head and met every gaze on her, they blinked rapidly at the golden of her eyes.

"What’s wrong with him?" one of the staff asked.

"He seems..." another mumbled. "Possessed?"

"Alexis?" Kaelis proceeded to walk towards her.

But Alexis turning suddenly made everyone stop, and that didn’t exclude Lyndon and Augustus.

"He’s got to die."

Alexis’s line of sight landed directly on Pyras and he arched a brow at her. Why the fuck was she beginning to approach him?

Alexis stormed towards Pyras with heavy, rapid steps, and just before she got close to him, she snatched one of the foldable chairs and hit him so brutally with it, that the man was sent flying into the nearest wall, startling even Augustus himself.

Nobody could move, not even Kaelis as all they could do in that very moment was stare with widened eyes.

Alexis tore off one leg of the chair with ease and then stalked right to Pyras, grasping him by the collar and lifting him to his knees.

"Why are you messing with me, huh?" Her voice sounded deeper almost as if it was two people talking at the same time and harmonizing.

"Augustus...w-what the fuck is going on with Alexis?" Lyndon asked, but he wasn’t taking a single step.

Alexis slammed the man across the face with the object, loud enough that the sound of his jaw cracking could be heard.

But she wasn’t down with him. She grabbed him by the hair and proceeded to repeatedly bang his face into the floor, over and over again till it was a bloody mess.

Still, she wasn’t satisfied.

She got on top of him. Over and over again, she would punch him across the face, never stopping, not even when his nose cracked. Not even when his lips split open, not even when his entire face had turned bloody and unrecognizable, enough that she herself was a bloody mess.

"Alexis!" Augustus snapped at her. "Alexis, stop! You’re going to kill him."

But she didn’t. Instead, she got to her feet and began kicking him. She wanted to kill him—that had been her initial goal before she hit him the first time.

"Alexis!" Augustus rushed towards her, but she glared at him before she could touch her.

"Don’t even think about it," she bit out. "Do you know what he’s done? I actually want to kill him and no one can stop me." She glanced at their faces, then back to Augustus. "Not even you, because I’ll kill anyone who gets in my way."

She’d lost her mind.

Augustus watched her turn and pick up the broken leg of the chair. Her idea was obvious. She was going to finish him off with him and he was going to stop her, but someone else stepped right in before she could do anything, grabbing her arm so roughly she spun around with a murderous look in her eyes.

Alexis was met with Keelion whose expression was more of shock than anger. He looked at Pyras’s unconscious body. Anyone would think he was dead but he could still hear the faintness of his breathing.

"Get him treated," he ordered. "NOW!"

Some of the staff puttered around like ants, their frames obviously shaking in fear because they weren’t sure what they’d just seen. It was like nothing they’d ever seen before.

"Let go of me," Alexis’s sudden words to Keelion made every single person within that room pause.

What the...

She was talking to the supreme alpha, did she realize that?

"Take your hands off me, Keelion."

Even Augustus himself was confused. He’d always known Keelion hated anyone uttering his first name, not unless he allowed it.

What sort of—-

Keelion turned and began to drag her along with him. Alexis however, snatched her hand back from him, snapping in pure rage, "I told you to let go of me. Don’t touch me!"

"What the fuck is wrong with you, huh?" he lost it, snatching her roughly by the bicep. "Are you out of your mind? What do you think you’re doing? Do you know where you are? You were trying to kill him!"

"Do you think I care? So what if I did?" She stared back at him, not even one bit intimidated. "You don’t even know what he did, how he’s been taunting me. It wasn’t a problem when he messed with me, but the second I got back to him, it’s a problem?"
