Chapter 73: Chapter 73

Alexis sat at the small dining table close to the opened balcony door in Keelion’s room. The cold wind was blowing in and it even looked like it would rain.

She slowly munched on her food while her eyes stayed on Keelion who was seated on the loveseat, attention focused on whatever he was doing on his laptop.

Maybe it was her imagination, but she felt as though he was mad at her for some reason which didn’t make any sense to her. She hadn’t done anything wrong—not that she knew of.

He wasn’t saying either, but he’s had a frown since he saw her, not to mention the fact that he never responded to anything she’d said to him. Surely if he was pissed off at her, he wouldn’t let her eat comfortably in his room, right? Then what was the problem?

Maybe if Sereia was around, she would know. There has still not been any sign of her. She’d called over and over again for more than a day now, but she never made an appearance.

Drawing a deep breath, she turned back to face her food, scooping up a spoonful of delicious sauce.

"When you’re done eating, leave," the roughness of Keelion’s voice sounded so rapidly that she turned her head to look at him.

Leave? He’d never asked her to do that before. If anything, he never minded whether she left or stayed.

"Oh..." Alexis blinked at him. "Okay..."

He never looked at her even once and she eventually had to avert her gaze, suddenly having lost her appetite.

She pushed the seat back and stood up, then walked over to the door to leave. Keelion still didn’t say a word to her and she eventually had to stop, fidgeting a little bit, as if unsure whether to say what she had in mind or not.

"What is it?" Keelion questioned.

Alexis dug her teeth into her bottom lip, but she mustered up the courage to ask, "Could you...take me to see my mother tomorrow? In the evening. I asked Augustus if I could take a day off the day after tomorrow, so I should be able to spend a day with her. Although...it’s still...up to you. So...can you?"

"No—" Keelion’s words died in his throat the very second he met her gaze. It was so pleadingful, and the way her pupil had grown larger than normal... He rapidly shook his head and quickly looked away from her. "Fine," he agreed.

Alexis took a second to process his words. He agreed? She was more than sure he said no for a second there.

Her lips spread into a smile. "Thank you!" And she turned to leave, but he stopped her.

"Eat more," he said. He was aware she didn’t have her fill and was probably discomforted by his cold attitude. But this was him being generous because he cared for her that much.

He would have been more than just mad at her if he didn’t.

Alexis half smiled to herself and turned, walking back to the table. But then she stopped and glanced at him over her shoulder.

She didn’t think or consider anything. All she knew was that her legs carried her over to the man and before she knew it, she had leaned over him, his confused eyes on her.

"What are you doing?" Keelion questioned.

She didn’t answer him, and instead ran her hand to the back of his neck and proceeded to weave her fingers into his white strand to grip gently.

Keelion rapidly blinked at her. "Alexis, what are you doing?" What was with the look in her eyes? Like as if she owned him? He’d seen it in her eyes before, and not just once and not even twice or thrice.

The Alexis he was looking at—anyone would have thought was a different person, but he knew it was her. This was just a different side of her.

A dominant omega. That was what she was, after all.

The man smirked, having suddenly realized what was going on. Dominant omegas weren’t in any way different from alphas. They were equally territorial in every sense. However, what has made her this way was what he was unsure of. She was holding him in a way no other would ever dare.

Alexis tilted her head and stared intently at him for a few moments, before kissing him briefly.

His body went still and he gazed at her. A type of redness he couldn’t control boiled all the way to his very ears. That was...

She kissed him briefly again. Keelion’s lashes flickered at her and he parted his lips to talk, but she kissed him, and this time around, it was anything but brief.

She had every control. But she was a terrible kisser, it was more than clear she had never kissed anyone before.

His lips stretched into a grin against hers and he snatched her by the chin, taking control and deepening the kiss the way he wanted to, enough to draw out a whimper from her.

Keelion pulled back to stare into her pretty eyes, noting every quick puff of breaths she breathed out. He bit his lips as his eyes narrowed into slits. "Sometimes, you’re just so unpredictable, it tempts me too awfully."

"W-what do you mean?" Alexis asked, still never letting go of her grip on his hair.

He didn’t mind, if anything, it amused him. He slanted his head. "Do you know the kind of things I want to do to you every time I look at you every day? When you stare at me with those eyes that just drives me out of my senses."

She rapidly fluttered her thick lashes. Things? What did he mean by that? "I don’t..." She shook her head with his grip. "Understand..."

Keelion glanced behind her to the bed and smirked with clear intentions in his blues. "That bed, you don’t know how much I feel to wreck you in it."

Alexis stilled. Frozen like ice. And he watched as her entire frame up to her face and ears burned so crimson, anyone would think she was in heat. "W-what? T-that’s..."

Her pheromones spiked unbeknownst to her and he forced himself to lower his gaze, trying to have control over himself. His grip on her chin tightened for a second and he purred under his breath, something he’d never do for anyone.

Then he suddenly grasped the nape of her neck, pulling her close enough to have her stare into his eyes. "I mean it, Alexis, I’ll make you watch while I cut the hands of anyone who touches you and I don’t care who it is. Even if it’s a friend."

She couldn’t say a word. If anything she felt mute in that moment, only able to swallow thickly. His pheromones were everywhere, clouding her senses and leaving her drunk on it.

The only thing she could register was his lips on hers, sweet, soft, and mind-numbing, and then it was gone, leaving her breathing raggedly and gasping for air.

"You’re mine and you only belong to me, no one else. Do you understand me?" Keelion asked in his calmest of tones, while his thumb ran across her under eye intimately. "Do you, Alexis?"

Alexis didn’t respond vocally. She couldn’t talk. All she could do was slowly nod.

But then she suddenly mumbled, causing him to pause.

"You also belong to me. Equally. You’re also mine, Keelion."

"You..." Keelion puffed a soft laugh. "You’re..." He couldn’t form a sentence.
