The Alpha's Fated Mate Is an Outcast-Chapter 107
Chapter 107: Chapter 107
"Alexis?" Keelion rushed his way towards his room.
He’s had the entire thing settled, well at least for now. And as for Althea, her case was something he was going to treat much later.
His priority right now was Alexis.
He’d felt her—her emotions, and she’d seemed to be hurting. But then all of a sudden, he couldn’t really feel it anymore. It was as if the awareness of her presence was drifting farther and farther away from him.
"Alexis—" Keelion pushed the door open and the words died in his throat immediately.
Alexis wasn’t here. Her scent was faint. But her scent wasn’t the only thing he could perceive. He could smell more than one other distinctive scent. Someone other than Alexis had been in his room.
His face screwed shut into a tight frown and he slowly closed the door.
"Alexis?"
He looked around the room. The bathroom, everywhere possible, but he couldn’t find her.
"Alexis?" He even searched his other room for her, hoping she’d be in there. But Alexis was nowhere to be found.
Even her scent was beginning to fade completely.
The man brushed his fingers through his hair, taking a few moments to breathe. It couldn’t...be what he was thinking...right?
"Alex....Alexis...?"
He looked around him, something he’d never felt before slowly building a house within him. Panic. He wasn’t familiar with it. He’d never felt this sort of thing before.
Taking a few steps back, he left the room and began to storm off towards the dorm room where he knew Augustus occupied with Lyndon.
He kicked the door open. "Augustus—" But he was only met with Lyndon who was seated on his bed with his head buried in his palm.
Slowly, Lyndon lifted his gaze towards him and quickly stood up to bow to him. "Alpha."
"Augustus..." Keelion’s eyes flickered. "Where is Augustus?"
Lydon couldn’t look at him, but he hesitated before responding, "Augustus....is gone. He’s nowhere to be fond. Not just him, but Kaelis is gone as well. They are nowhere to be found."
Keelion’s heart constricted in his chest and he staggered back before he could even hold himself, slowly turning and walking away.
He wasn’t stupid. No, not any away. And he could try to gaslight himself of what was in front of him, but...he’d abandoned. Alexis had left him.
She couldn’t have done it alone, and Augustus and Kaelis had helped her. He knew this, because walking out to the balcony of his room, he could see that one of his cars was missing.
Augustus had access to every one of his keys.
The woman he loved...had left him.
Keelion left the balcony back into his room. He glanced at the bed where he’d woken up with her this morning.
He didn’t know exactly what he was feeling. They were surging inside of him at a very rapid pace and he was as still as a statue, trying to process them.
Had she already planned to do this to him, today? Why...? What could he have done wrong? Was she punishing him? For what...? He couldn’t understand a thing.
Had she been angry with him? Why...why couldn’t she have spoken to him or maybe told him what he did wrong, why he deserved for her to leave him?
Keelion’s shoulders began to rise and fall in heavy breathing. His lungs felt tight and clogged as if he couldn’t inhale or exhale at all.
His vision was running blurry for some reason—something he’d never experienced before and he had to move over, clutching the back of the loveseat in his room.
Why...? Why would she do this to him? Like this....not even a word. He’d begged her not to leave him, he was willing to do anything, whatever it took to keep her. Even if it meant going against the entire universe—he would do anything.
Keelion’s chest rose and fell in rapid, uneven bursts. Each breath was shorter than the last.
He was unable to catch his breath—it felt hard.
One chance, he was willing to give one freaking chance to the fucking curse anyone would call love. And just like he’d expected, he got himself hurt. His mother was a lesson he’d learnt, but Alexis was different.
She was his mate—he loved her and she loved him...too?
She said she did. So, why? Why would she hurt him? He was willing to do anything for her? If even killing himself would make her happy, he didn’t doubt one bit that he would give her that, that was how deep he’d found himself in it before he even realized it.
She meant everything to him. All he could see was the both of them, nothing more. All that mattered to him was her, nothing more.
Had he done something—had he hurt her without knowing? Why had she done this to him?
All because...he fell in love?
Keelion’s lungs felt too full and too empty all at once, as if he was drowning in air. His fingers tingled, his vision blurred and in pure anger, he grasped the nearest object, which was a glass of water, and shattered it against the wall.
Who would do that to anyone? What reason could she have to leave him? Had she always had in mind to leave him.
But that was cruel...too cruel.
If she was going to do this to him, why had she gone to his mother’s grave with him. Why had she...
A strange buzzing pressure built in his skull and rang so painfully, he rapidly took steps back, almost falling. BUt he caught himself, enough to only find himself falling to his knees.
He didn’t have any strength left. All he could feel was pains all over, and he gripped his head, knuckles white.
Still it did nothing to quiet the pain in his head.
He was losing his mind. He couldn’t think in such excruciating pain.
What was it? He’d never felt such a thing before.
