"You're here, Miss." A woman in a maid's uniform greeted Xia Lu, who smiled and greeted her back. "I'm here to see Mother for a while."

But, as if it were all an illusion, her ears picked up two voices. One belonged to the man she loved, a familiar one. The other one was even more familiar. A voice that she had longed to hear for many years now.
As if a sudden burst of strength assaulted her, her body moved at the breakneck speed of a grandmaster realm martial artist and she broke through the door of her mother's room, only to come to a complete halt as she saw the shocked expression of her mother at her sudden intrusion and the usual expressionless face of her lover that soon transitioned into one of a smile as he saw her.
"It seems you have a lot to talk about, Miss Lu. I'll take my leave now." Wei Jun said and stood up, passing Xia Lu, who stood uprooted in her place. He simply whispered something in her ears that brought her out of her trance, and tears began to fall down her face.
"Mo-Mom." She said, her voice on the verge of breaking down. Her mother, Nana Lu, smiled and said, "You've grown into a beautiful young woman, my precious daughter."

Wei Jun came outside the mansion and stopped for a second. No matter how cold or heartless he was, he couldn't help but smile at the reunion of the mother and the daughter. Their reunion, on the other hand, made him remember someone else.
"Are you there?" He asked. Not in his mind but out loud. Yet, there was no reply from anyone anywhere. "System." Wei Jun said once again.

The main difference between the system and the overseer. The overseer always addressed him as 'Host' while the system always called him 'User'. That was more than a testimony that the robotic and emotionless voice he was conversing with didn't belong to the overseer. "Where is the overseer?" Wei Jun asked.
