The scroll appeared before Coco as Heiren was about to speak, making her go wide eyed when she read the content of the brown paper.

"Please help me!" The brown haired mediator exclaimed, his voice shaking and raspy from the exertion of his sprint.

"What do you want now?" Lala huffed out to the second husband, her small feet stomping on Coco’s head as she glared daggers at him, "Do you want to go with Coco out there, too? Well, guess what? You can’t!"

Coco could feel herself growing tired from the unnecessary quest she gets from the garden fairy’s sister.

Was it necessary for Coco to help them with whatever’s bugging them every single time? Don’t they know that she’s busy enough as is?

"Please! I really need your help— he will be fuming if he finds out about what happened so please help me!" Heiren pleaded, a look of guilt and worry crossing his features as he clasped his hands together.

"I know that you were about to leave the village, but I really need a hand right now! I won’t be asking much of you so please!" His voice was trembling and his shoulders were shaking, it was almost as if he was scared of what might happen.

According to the quest she had just received, she will have to help Heiren with whatever he needs or else she will receive a terrible penalty.

A migraine? I could barely get up with a headache, but a migraine? Dear, goodness.. What’s worse is it’s not just once, but ten consecutive times.. Coco thought with a shiver running down her spine.

She has no choice, but to accept, huh?

"Okay." Coco sighed out after a brief pause, making the second husband brighten up and making Lala let out a horrified gasp.

Coco had not heard Lala cry yet, but she could already imagine what kind of words the fairy would be saying once she got out of the initial shock from hearing what Coco said.

".. But first, let’s go to Magia Pierre." She quickly added on to her agreement as she raised a hand, "I have to let the merchant know that I might not bring anything back today because of an important matter."

This is only important because I don’t want to deal with a terrible migraine. Coco wanted to add to her statement, but decided against it and thought to herself instead.

She turned in her heels and started making her way to the magic stone shop, her footsteps light, but slow to make sure that Heiren would be able to catch up to her pace.

The walk towards the shop was quiet and no one dared to speak, not even the garden fairy who was obviously sulking.

Once they reached the shop, Coco caught the merchant planting a kiss on her husband’s head and letting go of him from her embrace. freewebnøvel.coɱ

"Mrs. Tani." Coco called out to the woman, "I don’t think I’ll be able to go out to the mountain today and bring any of my vegetables back because I have important matters to attend to."

Mrs. Tani blinked and nodded her head in understanding, her eyes shifting from Coco to the brown haired mediator a couple of feet away from her.

"Oh." The merchant’s lips curled up, "Private matters, I suppose?"

Coco simply nodded her head and rubbed the back of her neck sheepishly as she shot the merchant an apologetic look. "Please forgive me, I wasn’t planning to cancel this today, but it was sudden.."

The merchant merely raised a hand and waved dismissively. "I don’t mind, I don’t mind. The client doesn’t seem to mind because the vegetables and fruits you harvested aren’t finished by his mediators yet, so we can postpone this for today."

Coco’s eyes went wide and she gasped. "Thank you so much! If I can, I’ll try to bring some today!"

"You don’t have to." Mrs. Tani assured her and shook her head, "Anyway, it’s best you go now while the sun is still not up in the sky."

As if realizing that Mrs. Tani was right, Coco perked up and nodded her head before running towards Heiren who was still waiting for her in the distance. "I’ll see you later!"

"Take care." Mrs. Tani waved at Coco, a satisfied expression on her face.

"I’m guessing that she really doesn’t have to bring anything based on how you told her to spend time with her mediator." Joachim stated, crossing his arms.

Mrs. Tani chuckled and turned to him, smiling softly.

The pink haired mediator merely shook his head and looked back at the married couple in the distance.

"Let’s go." Coco said to Heiren as soon as she stopped in front of him, "I don’t know what you need help with, but have you eaten yet? We can’t start the day without breakfast or else we might collapse somewhere."

"I already had breakfast." Heiren assured her, his body abnormally stiff as he turned away.

"Okay.. What do you need help with?" Coco asked, tilting her head and started walking to the direction of the gate which made Heiren stop her.

"We don’t have to leave the village.." He murmured and looked down on the ground, putting his hand back to his side after seeing that Coco had stopped in her tracks, "But the person we need to get it from is hard to talk with."

"Oh?" Coco smiled brightly, pleased to know that she didn’t have to take all day to finish the quest.

"You have to talk him down and get the item back."

.. What?
