Accidentally Yours, Mr. Stranger-Chapter 46: Cheetah Corps on duty - Part 2
Chapter 46: Cheetah Corps on duty - Part 2
"Miss Lawrence, should I go to the parking lot?" Kyrell asked as they approached the Lawrence Group.
"Yes, please. I have an inkling that some people might be waiting for at the company entrance. But I’m in no mood to deal with them. I have a meeting to attend," Sienna said, not lifting her eyes away from the laptop as she typed an email, sending official instructions to her legal team.
"Okay, Miss Lawrence."
Kyrell had already obtained the security pass the previous day. So, he was authorized to enter the private parking space reserved for the Lawrence family members and their guards. But he still stopped to inform watchmen about Sienna’s new security team.
"You sure are meticulous," Sienna commented, closing her laptop.
"Have to be, Miss Lawrence. In my field of work, I can’t afford any carelessness."
"Quite commendable I must say. Not everyone can be meticulous," Sienna praised, finding the man more and more charming. "Nevertheless, you’re the leader."
"Thank you, Miss Lawrence." Kyrell grinned in delight as he entered the parking space.
Since the two cars were following them closely, Sienna didn’t have to wait for them for long. The six people entered the private elevator with Sienna standing in the middle.
Sienna didn’t know if she should laugh or cry when she saw how protective they were. They were in an elevator. How could anyone harm her here unless...
Sienna didn’t dare think in that direction and tapped her feet. Remembering something, she turned to Kyrell and said, "Almost all the places in the company are accessible to you guys. But there are a few with restricted access. I’ll inform the admin team to issue an all-clear ID card. With it, you guys will have access to all the places."
The four people were surprised by her words. Not just them, Kyrell was equally flummoxed and he looked at her with wide eyes. He too didn’t have an ID card yet. But he had never expected her to issue one that could grant them access to all the departments.
’Does she trust us so much or...’ His eyes narrowed when he thought of a possibility. "Or is this a test?’
"You don’t have to look at me like that, Mr. Winchester. Since I’ve decided to trust you with my life, I’m willing to take the risk."
The elevator arrived at her floor and Kyrell stepped out first before making a path for Sienna. The others were a step behind as they waited for her to leave first.
Sienna didn’t bother about them and entered her office. She had an important meeting with all the department managers in a few minutes. She had to be prepared.
Meanwhile, the four people looked around, admiring the company they had only heard about in the news or on social media. Class and elegance were dripping from every spot and corner and Xavier clicked his tongue, once again astonished by the life of capitalists.
"Your woman is loaded, Ky," he whispered, ensuring no one heard him. When his eyes fell on the secretary’s desk, he flashed the ladies observing them sneakily a teasing smile.
The secretaries were startled at being caught and they averted their gazes instantly. The previous day, they had already been captivated by Kyrell, whose charismatic and mighty demeanor captured eyeballs every time he appeared.
When they saw three other handsome men with Kyrell, they were excited and overjoyed. In black, crisp suits, they looked like models who had stepped directly out of a magazine. The single ladies especially couldn’t keep their hearts in check as they twisted their necks in the direction the men wandered. freeweɓnøvel.com
"Control yourself, Xav," Kyrell warned. It was not a club. It was Sienna’s office and he wasn’t willing to do anything or allow his friends to do anything that would make him lose face in front of her.
Xavier wasn’t a playboy by any means. But he could be quite flirtatious if he wanted. Kyrell had no intention of allowing his friend to have his way and ruin his plans.
"Hey, relax. I know my limits, alright." Xavier was annoyed and glared at his friend, who ignored him as always. "How are we doing this?" he asked, changing the topic.
"Amy stays here. As for the three of you, you know the protocols."
"You’re shooing us away so that you can spend time with your lady. Just tell us directly, Ky. There’s no need to beat around the bush," Xavier teased, jabbing his elbow lightly.
Kyrell looked at him nonchalantly before he beckoned Amy. Not bothering with Xavier anymore, he entered the office, leaving his friend fuming outside.
Sienna didn’t move her gaze away from the document when she heard the door open. She continued working while Amy and Kyrell inspected the room silently before taking their seats on the couch.
Meanwhile, Xavier, Isaac, and Kyle inspected the floor they were on before deciding to check the other levels. Since they’d be protecting Sienna henceforth, they had to know her workplace well.
"This company is modern and opulent, quite to my liking," Isaac praised, still looking around. He didn’t bother with the secretaries who continued to sneak glances at them now and then. Their gazes held no malice. So, he allowed them to observe him as much as they wanted.
"Agreed. It looks like the Lawrence family really thought about their employees’ well-being," Kyle added. While inspecting the floor, he hadn’t missed the break room and the recreation area. There was also a pantry stocked with instant food and snacks, which weren’t by any means cheap.
Xavier hummed while they waited for the elevator. Kyle was rarely impressed by anything. Among all his team members, Kyle was the most apathetic. Since he was amazed, it only meant the Lawrence family had done a great job providing a good and safe workspace to their employees.
"Say, Isaac, the secretaries haven’t stopped looking at you. What do you say? Wanna test your luck with them?" Xavier teased, cocking his brows mischievously.
"Why don’t you say that you want to test your luck? Don’t use my name to fulfill your intentions." Isaac retorted with a snort.
Xavier wasn’t embarrassed when Isaac uncovered his intentions. Instead, he became more daring and urged Isaac to try his luck. But the man just rolled his eyes, giving him a bombastic side-eye.
The elevator dinged and Isaac walked right inside, not noticing the woman making her way out. He ran right into her and Esme was pushed back a few feet, alarmed at the impact of the collision. She was close to falling when a strong arm pulled her close, preventing her from hitting the elevator wall.
"Careful," Isaac almost shouted in worry and Xavier’s lips curled into a proud smile.
’And there goes another of my friends.’
