"Finally got kicked out." Pannis stretched and leisurely strolled to a small lake next to the teaching building. He laid down comfortably on a stone bench by the lake and sighed with satisfaction, "After a morning of busyness, it’s nice to lie down and take a nap."

Just as he closed his eyes in leisure, he had to open them again. Pannis sat up with a furrowed brow, sighed in resignation, walked to the lake’s edge and crouched down. He smoothed his hair and straightened his collar in the reflection of the lake water, before pulling out a pasfruit from somewhere and started munching on it.

Surprisingly, once Pannis started biting into the fruit, the reflection in the lake froze, capturing the image of him just after adjusting his collar. Pannis seemed unfazed, quickly finished his fruit, threw it into a trash can far away, and then tossed a few small rocks into the lake, disturbing his frozen reflection.

"What? Do you think this is a monkey show?" Pannis squatted by the water’s edge, speaking to his reflection.

"Of course not." The reflection in the lake changed dramatically, it wasn’t Pannis anymore, but a middle-aged elf man in a crisp Mage Robe, with long hair and sharp ears. The elf stared at Pannis and said, "You are better looking than a monkey."

"Tsk." Pannis snorted, pulled out another pasfruit and started tossing it in his hand, "Of course, anyone with eyes could tell. But what about you, great Master Antuin? You’re so busy, why do you have time to chat with me?"

"You’ve changed a lot since we last met." Master Antuin’s voice echoed from the lake as the lips of the elf in the reflection moved, "The old you wouldn’t speak so inelegantly to others, or be so petty over past events."

"People change." Pannis nonchalantly took another bite of the fruit.

"Alright, I am sorry." The figure in the lake made a slight bow, "I must admit, I was preoccupied back then and couldn’t respond to your invitation. My apologies."

"Uh." Seeing the other party’s serious apology, Pannis felt a little embarrassed, waved his hand and laughed awkwardly, "I was just joking. You’re great in every aspect, but you’re just too serious."

"Seriousness and precision should be the attitude toward knowledge and magic." The image of Antuin became more stern.

"Well, not everyone would agree with that." Pannis showed off his skills in tossing fruit cores in the distance again, "Look at Christo, he’s nothing like you."

"He is a heretic." Antuin snorted coldly and walked out of the lake.

Yes, he walked out of the lake. As he snorted, the previously calm lake suddenly rippled. Accompanied by the ripples, Antuin gradually emerged, strolling out of the lake to stand next to Pannis.

"Every time I see this, I can’t help but praise." Pannis clapped lightly, expressing heartfelt admiration, "Ordinary people think that illusion magic is all about creating an uncertain reality, but they don’t understand that uncertainty is just the lowest level of illusion magic. Even creating intermittent uncertainty is average at best. It’s only when you can transform an illusion into reality, like you, that you reach the pinnacle of illusion magic. It seems that Mobal, the God of Illusion and Disguise, has already reserved a place for you. No wonder the crying cave’s mural looked so familiar, you’re responsible for that too, aren’t you?"

"You’ve been...rather different recently." The real-life Antuin looked slightly different from the figure in the lake – his ordinarily clear eyes had transformed into ever-flickering sparks of magic energy and his typical elf-green hair ends shone brightly, hinting at the flow of magic energy within. Antuin frowned at Pannis, "You’re like a completely different person now."

"Like I’ve said, people always change." Pannis shrugged, "Is that a bad thing?"

"Maybe it’s a good thing. At least now you seem like a living person." Antuin shook his head and said, "But that doesn’t matter to me. After all, I didn’t come here just to chat."

"You need something from me?" Pannis looked puzzled, "You actually need something from me?"

"Two things, actually," Antuin held up two fingers, "First, Her Majesty the Queen asked me to send her regards."

"Flare?" Pannis sighed in regret, "Is she doing well?"

Antuin’s eyes widened in surprise, staring at Pannis, "You... you didn’t change the subject, or hide anything?"

Pannis smiled, annoyed, he said: "I tell you for the third time, people change. Being liked by girls is not something disgraceful, what’s to hide? The old me was too naive."

"Perhaps Her Majesty the Queen will be pleased." Antuin was silent for a moment before saying softly: "Her Majesty the Queen asked me to ask you, this time you can’t refuse her with the excuse of the large difference in lifespan, can you?"

"You know, Nellie is dead." Pannis looked down at his own hands: "Because of my sins, she’s dead. I failed her, and that cannot be changed. So, until I have been forgiven, I..."

"You don’t have to say anymore." Antuin waved his hand to interrupt Pannis’s words: "The Queen’s thinking is similar to yours, so she asked me to tell you, she won’t give up, she will come to find you personally some day."

"Hmm, in a few days?" Pannis couldn’t help but laugh: "It seems I can live a peaceful life for at least a hundred years."

Antuin was at a loss for words, unable to refute the habits of his own race.

"Alright, I got the first thing." Pannis said: "Now the second, actually I guess it’s not good news."

"You’re right. Some old friends in the race entrusted me." Within Antuin’s eyes, the magic energy surged even more fiercely, and he said every word: "Kill you."

The moment his words fell, Antuin’s Inherent Psychic Domain erupted, and the figures of the two disappeared from the lakeside at the same time. The empty lakeside, where only the fallen leaves were swept up by the breeze and drifted past, was completely devoid of human presence.

———————

The Inherent Psychic Domain is a unique skill of demigods. Each domain represents the deepest part of a demigod’s soul, enhancing their combat prowess in different ways. Because the domain represents the soul, no two are exactly the same, except for the anomalous Light and Dark Twins. When a demigod activates their Inherent Psychic Domain, they can choose between two different activation methods: expansion and contraction. A contracted domain doesn’t affect the outside world and is fully contained within the demigod. An expanded domain, however, includes everything in its surroundings. Once inside, only another demigod can leave before the domain closes; all other beings cannot exit.

When the domain expands, it looks as though the demigods have completely disappeared from their original location, seemingly into another world. The reality inside the domain can be regarded as a world of the soul, where everything is both illusory and real. Understanding the interweaving of reality and illusion requires one to touch the doors of the law and enter a demigod’s domain.

When two demigods choose to fight within their expanded domains, their worlds intertwine, clash, and merge. No one can predict the outcome.

"Welcome to my world." One moment they were standing by the lake, the next they were in an endless green forest. In its depths stood a tall tower reaching into the clouds. Antuin opened his arms wide and shouted: "Welcome to the Starshine Tower in the forest sea."

"So the highest Starshine Tower of the Mage’s Guild was brought by you when you joined." Pannis, who was engulfed in the domain, looked leisurely at the distant Magic Tower with his hands behind his back: "Speaking of which, this is the first time seeing your domain."

"You should feel honored." Antuin said somberly: "You are the first human to see my domain and will be the first to die in it."

"I understand, several of your kind, jealous that I took the most beautiful flower of the Elf race. Even though I didn’t do anything, they are jealous, so they entrusted you to kill me." Pannis lowered his head, his eyelets shot out sharp glares: "But, my old friend, do you really think you can kill me?"

"What do you think?" Antuin squinted, raised his hand upwards, pointing to the sky. A light beam as thick as a little finger descended from the sky. The scenery at the edge of the light beam twisted, showing the incredible energy contained within it, making even space unstable.

Pannis did not move, just standing there with a smile on his face, hands behind his back, completely ignoring the existence of the light beam.

But as the light beam neared, a flash of silver light passed, a bright figure suddenly appeared next to Pannis. A long lance glowing with Aggression Energy thrust towards the sky, directly confronting the light beam. Under the powerful Aggression Energy, the light beam containing infinite destructive power dissolved.

"This is ... Nellie?" Antuin looked up into the distance but couldn’t help but let out a gasp.

Somewhere along the way, three moons had risen in the distant sky. Under the moonlight, the dense forest gradually became covered with endless yellow sand. On the yellow sand, countless skeletal remains covered one another, forming piles like mountains. The eerie light emitted by the pale bones under the moonlight was rather sinister.

"This is my Inherent Psychic Domain." Pannis didn’t look at Antuin, his gaze fondly resting on the beautiful figure beside him: "Hell of Sin and Punishment."
