"Leader, the new city lord of Nafield City visited us a few minutes ago," Kairos reported. "He agreed to our request without any questions. He just hoped we could forget the previous city lord’s actions, and would not kill them anymore."

"What about the new city lord of Icria City?" Ren inquired.

He agreed to their request immediately.

He dared to say this because they had already conquered three cities in just the first month since founding the organization.

"I’ve ordered them to report to us once they choose a new city lord. Based on thei-"Ren stopped his words halfway when one of his subordinates stepped into the living room.

"Leader, brother Elian and Daven are contacting us," A blue-haired man said politely.

Ren and the others immediately headed to the communication hall.

"Leader?" Elian and Daven were startled because they previously thought they would talk to Kairos and the others.

"How is it?" Ren inquired.

"Leader, we’ve got important news." They began reporting the information they had managed to gather.

They said the previous city lord had a sister who was King Aldric’s favorite concubine. The Hudson and Scott families contacted her after he took over Icria City from them.

"We suspect she is the mastermind behind everything that’s happened to Nightshire City lately."

Daven said this because every clue they had gathered pointed back to her.

"Are you saying she asked the king to declare me a wanted man and blockade our city’s economy?" Even though a spark of anger flared within him, Ren’s expression didn’t change.

"We are not one hundred percent sure but we highly suspect her because rumor has it the king values her words above all others and rarely goes against her wishes." Elian was also shocked when he uncovered the information, as Elyse’s influence even rivaled that of the queen.

"I will go to Icria City now. Go to the Scott family and wait there." The Scott and Hudson families were involved in their problem, so Ren wanted to teach them a lesson.

"Understood, leader." Elian and Daven responded in unison.

Right after the communication was cut off, Ren used the Void Steps skill and arrived in Icria City within just two seconds.

"Leader..."

Elian and Daven approached him when they found him.

"Where is the head of Scott family now?" Ren inquired.

"They are at their auction house," Elian responded. "We will take you there now."

Shortly after that, they reached the Scott Family Auction House.

The trio didn’t enter the auction house; instead, they stood in the courtyard.

"Scott family head, you have one minute to come outside and stand before me." Ren said in a commanding and authoritative tone.

Everyone in the auction house rushed out immediately. Not only that, but people from all directions began gathering as well.

Ren infused his energy into his voice so everyone in Icria City could hear him clearly.

’Him?!’

They trembled in fear when they found out the owner of the voice.

Memories of him killing the Bennet and Morris families mercilessly suddenly popped up in their minds.

They wanted to run away from that place, but their legs refused to obey, leaving them trembling in fear with their heads lowered.

Even though Ren had the appearance like an angel who descended from the highest heaven, none of them dared to look at him because in their eyes, he was not an angel, but a devil in disguise.

They all walked out with pride and arrogance.

But the moment they realized who the voice belonged to, terror overtook their faces, and their bodies began to tremble uncontrollably.

’It’s him? He came again?’

Isla and her children fell to their butts instantly.

Ren wore an annoyed expression, so they knew he came with no good intentions.

"My... my lord, what...what did we do to you?" Nixon stammered because fear had gripped him.

"You still have the nerve to ask? You should already know why I’m here." Ren didn’t answer Nixon’s question because he should have known the reason without being told.

"My... my lord, I believe I didn’t do somet-"Nixon stopped his words halfway and widened his eyes when he recalled something.

’Is it because of that?’

His pupils quivered as the fear inside him grew bigger.

They had not said a word about contacting Elyse, so he thought Ren would not find out about it.

"My lord, please! Please spare our lives. We promise, we won’t betray you again." Nixon slammed his head against the ground, hoping Ren would change his mind.

However, his actions changed nothing as Ren had made up his mind.

"In your next life, think first before doing something." After saying that, Ren swung his sword, sending a huge wave of energy toward them.

"No! No!" Nixon and the others tried to run away, but his attack was much faster than them, so they failed to save their lives.

The slash destroyed the auction house after killing them, sending debris flying in all directions and raising a thick cloud of dust that blanketed the area.

The citizens didn’t scream when he destroyed the Scott family.

Most of them even didn’t dare to lift their heads to look at the corpses because Ren was still in front of them.

They kept their heads lowered and silently prayed to the heavens, hoping he would leave without doing anything more.

Ren stored his sword in his space ring before finally speaking, "Elian and Daven, take me to the Hudson family. They also need to face the consequences of their actions."

"Understood, leader." Elian and Daven answered in unison.

After the trio disappeared into the distance, the citizens lifted their heads.

One wore a mage robe, and the other was clad in black armor.

The one wearing a mage robe was Mia Stewart, a powerful 3-star mage and Elyse’s trusted subordinate.

As for the one in black armor, she was Rayna Berry, a Master rank warrior and a Major in the army.

King Aldric didn’t want something bad to happen to Elyse, so he ordered Major Rayna to protect her.

"Of course." Elyse responded, "But not now. I will wait for the right time to take back Icria City from him."

"I see." Major Rayna uttered.
