Once Elyse cut off the communication magic, Xander contacted Joshua.

Like when Xander received the good news, Joshua was thrilled after finding out the King would help them deal with Nightshire City.

When some of the citizens went to their fields, fifty-one soldiers of the Tuiziya Kingdom traveled to Icria City on the backs of ten massive birds.

They went to a far away place not for a vacation.

Ren had humiliated him and beat him up, so he wanted to make Ren kneel in front of him before finally delivering the final blow.

The root of their problem was Icria City and Nafield City, so she suddenly wanted to attack them because leaving them alone would only cause more trouble.

As she was thinking of a way to deal with them, someone knocked on her door.

"Come in." Scarlett said while still looking at the document in her hand.

Right after closing the door, General Viviana stood before her. "City Mistress, we received a report from our spies in Icria City."

Scarlett shifted her gaze to General Viviana and asked, "What is it?"

"They saw Joshua and a few of his subordinates entering Icria City," General Viviana reported. "City Mistress, they must be plotting something again. Why don’t we take this opportunity to stir up trouble in Nafield City?"

When Scarlett was about to give an answer, Captain Noah knocked on the door.

"City mistress, may I come in?" Captain Noah’s voice rang out from the other side of the door.

"Come in." Scarlett responded,

Captain Noah was not surprised when he saw General Viviana because he knew why she was in Scarlett’s office.

"Why are you here, Captain Noah? Did our spies sent another report?" General Viviana inquired,

They were previously in the communication room and she had ordered him to stay there in case other spies sent additional reports.

"Yes, General." After answering her question, Captain Noah turned to Scarlett. "City Mistress, our spies reported seeing around fifty people arriving in Icria City on ten massive birds."

"Who are they?" Scarlett inquired.

"Our spies are currently working to uncover their identities," Captain Noah replied. "They said they would report back as soon as they gather enough information."

"Does this mean they plan to attack us again?" General Viviana assumed this because they still had not given up on the mine.

"I think so." Captain Noah also assumed they would try to seize the mine again.

"General Viviana, inform Major General Georgia about this. Tell her to kill all peo-"Scarlett stopped her words halfway because someone knocked on her door again.

"City mistress, may I come in?" a green-haired soldier uttered.

"Come in." Scarlett answered.

Once she was in front of Scarlett, the soldier said, "City mistress, Xander is contacting us."

Scarlett rose from her chair and headed to the communication room, followed by General Viviana and the others.

They were not surprised when they saw Joshua standing next to Xander because the spies had already reported his presence in Icria City.

"What do you want, Xander?" Scarlett’s eyes gleamed with terrifying sharpness and every single one of her words was filled with coldness.

"City mistress, I will give you one more chance." Xander spoke and paused for a second before he continued, "Hand over the Mana Crystals mine to us and we will forget what happened lately."

"Dream on!" Scarlett refused instantly.

"Since you still refuse to hand over the mine to us, we will make you regret your decision." After saying that, Xander cut off the communication magic.

Scarlett then contacted Major General Georgia and told her to tighten security at the mine. She also ordered them to kill anyone from Icria City or Nafield City they encountered.

As Scarlett returned to her office, Xander and Joshua made their way to the audience hall with happy faces.

This was exactly what they wanted, so they were pleased with how things had turned out.

"How is it?" Major Melvin inquired.

Major Melvin and his subordinates were currently sitting on the chairs. Some of them were eating the fruits on the table because traveling to a far place made them hungry.

Xander sat on the chair before finally speaking, "She still refused to hand over the mine, Major Melvin."

"Prepare everything. We will attack them in three days." Major Melvin ordered.

"Understood." Joshua and Xander responded in unison.

Mana Crystal Mine.

Ren was currently sitting on a tree branch.

Like usual, Diana was by his side.

She always seduced him every time he visited the mine. She never gave up because she believed she would win his heart in the end.

"Diana, it’s impossible for us to become a couple, so just give up. You are only wasting your time." Ren refused for the umpteenth time.

"No! I won’t give up!" she refused instantly. "Handsome, what should I do to make you mine? Should I wreak havoc in Nafield City and Icria City? Or should I kill Xander and Joshua? Tell me! I will do whatever you want."

"I don’t need anythi-"Ren stopped his words halfway when all soldiers walked out of the cave.

’What’s going on? Did something happen in the mine?’

He jumped down from the tree and approached Major General Georgia.

"General Georgia, what’s going on? Why are they suddenly leaving the mine?" he asked curiously.

"City mistress ordered us to return immediately." General Georgia told him that Nafield City and Icria City were going to attack Nightshire City.

"What?!" Ren failed to control his emotions after hearing her answer.

"Ren, we will activate the formation now. You should return first as city mistress needs you now." General Georgia ordered her subordinates to activate the formation so that Nafield City and Icria City would not seize it.

Diana approached him and asked, "Handsome, are you leaving now? Can you take me with you?"

Ren didn’t say anything and only stared at her.

"Handsome, I can help you if you ne-"Diana could not finish her words because Ren suddenly vanished from her sight.

She knew Ren had a skill that allowed him to travel thousands of kilometers in a single step, so she didn’t try to find him because she knew it would be meaningless.

When he disappeared out of the blue like that, what she could do was only wait for him at the mine, nothing more than that.

’But they are all leaving the mine. Something must have happened in their city.’
