"Bullshit!" Kairos stated, "It’s impossible for a woman like you to be pure and a virgin when you openly admit to liking handsome men. I’m sure there have been plenty of good-looking men in your life before."

"Allies? I thought that word would never come out of your mouth in this lifetime." Xander always spoke ill of Nafield City, so she thought they would be enemies forever. "So, why are you calling me?"

"Sister, we need your help." Xander quickly explained their situation.

"I see." She was a smart woman, so she understood their intentions right away. "So, you want to use my relationship with King Aldric to take the mine from Nightshire City?"

"Yes." Xander admitted immediately. "Sister, we have tried to seize the mine on our own, but Nightshire City has someone powerful now, so all our efforts have ended in failure."

"Someone powerful?" Elyse’s brows furrowed. "Who is this person, and how strong is he?"

"His name is Ren. His Warrior class is at the Master rank, and his Mage class is at 3-star." Xander told her that Ren had recently killed countless of their soldiers.

They were powerless against him because he possessed many deadly skills and powerful magic.

"Aeris?" Elyse was shocked because there was no Aeris in the capital.

"Sister, we need your help," Xander pleaded earnestly. "Please persuade King Aldric to grant us the mine. I promise we will reward you generously."

"Yes, Lady Elyse," Joshua added. "We promise to give you a generous gift in return."

"Sure." Xander was her brother, so she agreed instantly.

"Thank you, sister!" Xander said happily.

"Thank you, lady Elyse." Joshua was also delighted, but he suppressed it.

"I will inform you of the king’s decision later," Elyse said, "In the meantime, stay quiet and don’t provoke Nightshire City."

"Understood." Xander and Joshua responded in unison.

Lexie gave him a peck on the cheek before finally entering home.

"Not on the lips?" he uttered.

"Later." Lexie headed to the dining room because she was thirsty.

She stopped her footsteps right after she stepped into the dining room.

"I had free time earlier, so I cooked dinner for us." Ren said as he stood next to him.

"It looks delicious!" Scarlett rushed to the dining table immediately.

"Let’s eat now." Ren uttered.

To his surprise, Lexie cupped his face and kissed his lips.

"Thank you, Ren." Lexie expressed the happiness within her by kissing her.

Ren’s face broke into a smile. "Let’s eat now."
