Chapter 182: Visiting Icria City

"Leader, how is our performance in this war?"

"Leader, we are not embarrassing our organization, right?"

"Leader, I killed many enemies earlier."

"Me too! I killed more than twenty enemies!"

One by one, members of the Moon Organization turned to Ren and proudly voiced their achievements in an excited tone.

Ren smiled softly as he walked down from the sky. "Not bad."

He didn’t praise them on purpose.

He wanted them to grow stronger quickly, so he didn’t want them to become complacent with their achievements too soon.

Right after he landed on the ground, Colonel Aidan approached him. "We can win the war easily thanks to you, Ren."

"No. It’s thanks to everyone, not only me." Ren didn’t take all the credit because he wanted to maintain his image.

’Hm?’

He remembered something when his gaze landed on Alex’s corpse.

’Ah, right. I forgot about it.’

His body transformed into a streak of blue lightning, flashing toward Alex’s corpse.

When Ren grabbed Alex’s head, General Viviana asked curiously, "What are you planning to do with his head?"

"The Icria City lord wants to take my head and hang it on the wall, so I plan to visit Icria City with this head." Ren answered her question indirectly.

Kairos, who understood Ren’s intention, praised him. "That’s a great idea, leader!"

"Haha." Colonel Aidan laughed loudly. "You are crazy Ren, but I like that idea!"

General Viviana and the others didn’t stop him because it could serve as a warning to Icria City not to attempt to take the mine again.

"Then, I will head to Icria City now." The moment Ren finished speaking, his body vanished from the battlefield and reappeared one kilometer away from Icria City.

At this moment, twenty of Icria City’s soldiers were guarding the entrance and chatting happily.

They had yet to notice him as he was still quite far from them.

"Hey, do you think our soldiers will be able to claim the mine this time?" a red-haired soldier named Ewan asked.

"Our city lord sent a thousand powerful soldiers this time. I’m confident we will succeed," a blue-haired soldier named Dexter replied.

"Yeah!" a brown-haired soldier named Alfie added. "With Lieutenant Colonel Alex leading the regiment, there is no way we will suffer defeat again."

"Once we clam the mine, our city will be rich!" Dexter said happily.

"And our lives will be much better!" Ewan couldn’t help but smile happily as he imagined their city becoming wealthy and growing into a big city.

"You are damn right. Haha." The soldiers laughed happily.

"Hmm?" Alfie stopped laughing when he noticed someone approaching their city.

’Is he a traveler? But what is in his left hand?’

He could not see clearly what Ren was holding because the distance between them was still quite far.

"Another traveler?" Ewan noticed Ren, too.

One by one, the soldiers turned their attention to Ren as Alfie and Ewan kept staring at the approaching figure.

Dexter narrowed his eyes to get a better look at the figure. "Hey, are my eyes playing tricks on me, or is he holding a head?"

"Head?" Ewan squinted, focusing on the thing Ren was holding.

’Hm?’

His eyes widened in shock the moment he recognized what Ren was holding.

"Hey, that traveler is holding a head!" Ewan exclaimed as he pointed his finger at Ren.

"Why is he coming to our city while holding a head?" Dexter had never seen or heard of someone coming into the city holding a head before because it was a criminal act.

"Is he a wanted person?" Alfie asked, "Should we stop him from entering our city?"

"Of course, we should not let him enter our city because it will tarnish our reputation." Ewan stepped forward and was ready to stop Ren.

But when he could see the head in Ren’s hand clearly, his expression changed.

’Lieutenant Colonel Alex?’

Without thinking twice, he retrieved his spear from his space ring and rushed toward Ren.

"How dare you kill and insult our colonel!" Ewan roared with bloodshot eyes.

"Colonel?!" The other city guards finally realized whose head Ren was holding in his left hand. "I will kill you!"

Even though twenty people were dashing toward him, Ren still walked leisurely.

*Slash...

Ren swung his sword once.

In the next second, all the city guards died with their bodies cut in half, upper body and lower body separated.

Ren did not spare a glance at the corpses before him and continued walking as if nothing was there.

Once he was at the entrance, he stopped his footsteps and lifted his head to look at the walls.

’Where should I hang this head? Should I hang it above the city signboard?’

As he was thinking where he should put Alex’s head, twenty city guards approached him.

They heard a loud bang earlier, so they rushed to the entrance immediately.

’Lieutenant Colonel Alex?’

Like the previous city guards, they attacked Ren the moment they saw Alex’s head in his left hand.

However, they could not do anything like those before them because they were only Elite rank warriors and 2-star mages.

"You bastard, stop there!"

"Asshole, how dare you wreak havoc in our city?!"

"You insolent wretch! Do you think you can do whatever you want in our city?!"

"Die!"

Another group of city guards charged at him, intending to kill and tear his body apart.

Ren shifted his gaze from the city wall to them and spoke, "This is getting annoying."

He swung his sword again, sending a huge wave of energy at them.

As Ren was slaughtering the soldiers at the entrance, the red-haired man rushed toward the training grounds.

Ren had killed many soldiers, so he rushed to report it to his superiors.

"Colonel Freddy, someone is wreaking havoc at the entrance," the soldier reported. "The others are facing him, but we are struggling to handle him."

"Who dare cause trouble in my city!" Colonel Freddy wasted no time and headed to the entrance, followed by his subordinates.

Five minutes later, they arrived at the entrance.

’The masked man?’

Colonel Freddy’s shocked face turned angry when he saw seventy soldiers lying lifeless around Ren.

Even though he didn’t know who the masked man was, he had heard about him multiple times from his generals.

After all, he had already slain numerous Icria City soldiers at the mine.

"Masked man, how dare insult Lieutenant Colonel Alex and wreak havoc in our city!" Colonel Freddy’s face was red from anger and every single one of his words was filled with coldness.

"Your city lord said he wanted to hang a head on the city walls, so I came to help him." Ren still acted normally despite seeing his angry face.

"Our city lord? Hang a head on the walls?" Colonel Freddy was aware of the city lord’s orders regarding the masked man, but he hadn’t expected Ren to turn their own intended humiliation against them.

"That’s right. I came all the way from the mine to your city just to fulfill your city lord’s wish. Am I not a good man?" Ren spoke as if his actions were noble, something deserving of gratitude.

Colonel Freddy was breathless with rage. "KILL HIM!"

"Crush him!"

"Rip him to shreds!"

"End his life!"

All of his subordinates dashed toward Ren.

Ren let out a deep sigh before finally speaking, "I came with good intentions, yet this is how you repay me? Since you are treating me so poorly, I suppose I will have to teach you a lesson."

As the spiritual energy in nature swirled around him, debris flew into the air, forming a hurricane.

When he swung his sword, his slash carried immense power, striking fear into the soldiers of Icria City.

Lunar Severing Slash skill!

Ren used his Divine class skill because he didn’t want to waste any more time on them, so he decided to kill them in one move.

Colonel Freddy and his subordinates quickly formed a defensive formation to block the incoming attack.

However, their efforts were in vain because his attack tore through their defenses effortlessly, cutting them in half instantly.

Even though they had the advantage in numbers, none of them had mastered a Divine-class defensive skill or high-tier defense magic, so their fate was set in stone the moment Ren used the Lunar Severing Slash skill.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

A rain of corpses occurred at the entrance, and blood spread across the ground, dyeing the ground red.

Not only that, but the entrance gate was also shattered into pieces, causing a number of people to run in fear.

’I think I overdid it.’

The corner of his lips twitched because he could not hang Alex’s head on the walls anymore now.

’Then, I have no other choice now. I will use that method.’

He grabbed two black spears and planted them firmly into the ground, mounting Alex’s head on one and Freddy’s head on the other.

’Great!’

A satisfied smile spread across his face as he admired the sight of their heads impaled on the spears.

"Should I leave a message for the city lord?" he mused as he touched his chin.

’Alright. Let’s do that.’

After thinking for several seconds, he decided to leave a message to the city lord because it was the best way to toy with his emotions.

[City lord, I’m sorry for destroying the entrance gate. As an apology, I’ve left two gifts for you. You can find them on the black spears. I hope you can forgive me. Masked man.]

Ren wrote the message using the soldiers’ blood.

Of course, he wrote it using his feet because he didn’t want his hands to be dirty with his blood.

’Alright. It’s done! Now, it’s time to return.’

Ren used the Void Steps skill to leave Icria City.
