Transmigrated Into the World of Magic and Swords-Chapter 158: Taking Advantage of the Situation
Chapter 158: Taking Advantage of the Situation
"Little friend, are you teasing me?" Finley didn’t believe it immediately because it was extremely rare for awakeners to awaken both the Mage class and the Warrior class.
Ren didn’t answer his question; instead, he retrieved his Aether Weapon from his space ring and swung it.
Right after using the Mountain Crushing Slash skill, Ren lifted his left hand forward and used Ice Needle magic.
Boom!
Boom!
The sound of his attacks hitting a mountain reverberated in the entire area.
Finley, who was standing next to Ren, looked at the mountain with a surprised face.
His eyes widened, and his mouth hung open.
He knew Ren was a talented young awakener, but he didn’t expect him to be Aeris, someone who was destined to stand at the top.
’He is really an Aeris.’
After coming to his senses, he grabbed Ren’s shoulders immediately.
"Little friend, I think you should become the new leader of my organiza-" Finley stopped his words halfway and corrected it. "No. You must become the new leader of my organization. You can’t refuse this."
The corner of Ren’s lips twitched.
’This old man has gone crazy!’
He had guessed that Finley would be surprised, but his reaction was more than he expected.
"Senior, you are not even sure whether your organization still exists or not. How could you possibly want me to be the new leader?" Ren refused the offer indirectly.
"Even if my organization no longer exists, its members must still be alive today." Finley was sure about this because all of his subordinates were powerful.
"Does that mean you want me to rebuild your organization if it no longer exists?" Ren inquired.
"Yes," Finley responded as he nodded.
"It’s troublesome." Ren didn’t want to become the new leader even more because, from his point of view, it was better to make his own organization.
"If you agree to become the new leader, I will give you two Tier 7 magic." Finley didn’t give up because meeting someone like Ren was difficult, especially when he could not leave the temple.
Ren raised an eyebrow. "Tier 7 magic? You are a warrior, aren’t you?"
"Well, I met an annoying mage six hundred years ago, so I beat him up and took his space ring," Finley told him the reason why he had powerful spell books.
Black lines formed on Ren’s forehead upon hearing his answer.
’He is a bad old man!’
He shouted in his head.
[Host, it’s funny hearing it from you because you are the same as him.]
’System, whose side are you on?’
He didn’t expect his system to defend Finley.
[Host, just accept it because you don’t lose anything by becoming the new leader. Aren’t you interested in those two Tier 7 magic?]
Ren touched his chin and began thinking about it.
’Should I take the offer?’
He admitted that the offer was so tempting because his strongest magic was only Tier 6.
"How is it? You agree, right?" Finley saw a glimmer of hope when Ren began to consider his offer.
"Hmm? How about adding one Divine class skill? Maybe I will agree to become the new leader of your organization." Ren tried to take advantage of the situation.
"Haha." Finley laughed loudly. "Little friend, you are a greedy person, huh? But I like it!"
He was not angry with Ren’s condition because he also agreed that awakeners must be greedy when it was related to skills and magic.
Finley took two spell books and one skill book. "Here, take it."
[Ding! Host has discovered the Lunar Severing Slash skill book. Do you want to learn it?]
[Ding! Host has discovered the Angelic Harmony spell book. Do you want to learn it?]
[Ding! Host has discovered the Thunderclap Strike spell book. Do you want to learn it?]
A series of notifications popped up.
However, Ren didn’t learn it immediately because he could master it whenever he wanted.
"Alright. I will become the new leader." Ren said as he stored the spell and skill books in his space ring.
"Now that you have become the new leader of the Moon Palace, I will give you this Moonlit Jade Pendant." Finley took a green jade pendant and gave it to Ren.
"What should I do if they don’t want to acknowledge me later?" Ren believed many of them would not acknowledge him as their leader.
Some of them might even think that he stole the Moonlit Jade Pendant or did something bad to Finley because someone they had never met or heard of suddenly appeared with a token of authority.
"It’s up to you." Finley answered, "You can even beat them up, but please don’t kill them because it’s normal if they don’t acknowledge you immediately."
"I will remember that." Ren stated.
Shortly after that, Finley announced that someone had received his legacy.
As the news echoed through the air, chatter erupted among the awakeners and magical beasts.
One by one, they began to guess the identity of the mysterious inheritor.
The magical beasts firmly believed it was Asher, while the awakeners were certain it was Ren.
The tension between the two groups escalated rapidly as both groups were not willing to back down from their claim.
If the ancient spirit were not with them, a clash would have happened because they insulted each other too.
"What?! Someone has received his legacy?!" Asher said in surprise.
"Haha." Evil Asher laughed loudly. "Someone reached the top floor faster than you. Haha."
Asher gritted his teeth in anger.
’This is all because of you, asshole!’
He blamed Evil Asher for everything because he would have received the Moon God’s inheritance if he hadn’t stopped him.
"Why are you making an angry face? You don’t blame me for everything, do you? After all, it’s your fault for being weak. Haha." Evil Asher was thrilled when he saw Asher’s angry face.
Asher couldn’t control his emotions as usual because someone had stolen something belonging to him.
"DIE!" he raised his fist and dashed toward Evil Asher.
Evil Asher leaped back with a smirk, "I’m not playing with you anymore. Goodbye, loser."
"Aaaggghhh!" Asher’s frustration boiled over as Evil Asher vanished into the shadows.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the eighth floor, Evil Scarlett approached Scarlett with a disappointed expression.
The legacy of the Moon God was almost within her grasp, but instead of trying to pass the test immediately, Scarlett kept looking for her boyfriend.
She even didn’t take the test since she arrived on the eighth floor, as if the legacy of Moon God was trash.
"Someone has received the legacy." Evil Scarlett stood next to Scarlett, standing on the edge of the cliff. "Don’t you regret it?"
"I’m sure the inheritor is Ren." Scarlett believed Ren was the inheritor because she didn’t find him on the eighth floor.
"Sigh." Evil Scarlett sighed again. "You are really different from her."
"I’m not her, so of course, we are different," Scarlett responded.
"The test is useless now, so I will leave." After saying that, Evil Scarlett disappeared.
"Should I return to the fifth floor?" Scarlett murmured.
"Everyone, a teleportation gate will appear near you. You can leave my temple using it." Finley’s voice rang out again.
As soon as the teleportation gate materialized on the fifth floor, both magical beasts and awakeners began to exit the temple.
To their surprise, they arrived back at the lakeside, the place where their previous conflict took place.
"We returned to this place?" Adrian said in surprise. "I thought we would arrive at the ruins earlier."
"I thought so, too," Kairos uttered.
"So, what are we going to do now? Should we leave this place immediately?" A brown-haired man named Elian inquired.
"You want to leave immediately?" Adrian raised an eyebrow. "Aren’t you curious about who the mysterious inheritor is?"
"I already know who it is. It’s definitely brother Ren," Elian admitted that Asher was strong, but he believed Ren was the mysterious inheritor because he was much more amazing than Asher.
"I agree with you." Dan, a tall man with black hair, added. "That beast is nothing compared to Brother Ren. There is no way he could be the inheritor."
"Damn right!" a red-haired man stated.
Ariana, who was standing next to Zaria, said, "They’ve only known him for a few hours, yet their trust in him runs this deep. Not everyone can achieve this. Was he born to be a leader?"
"He is strong and treats them well, so it’s only natural they would react this way," Zaria commented.
Lexie’s lips curled up into a smile as she heard them praise her boyfriend.
’They would be shocked if they knew he was a perverted young man.’
She suddenly remembered their hot sex in Vraisa City, causing her face to turn red.
Zaria, who noticed it, asked, "Mrs Lexie, your face is red. Are you feeling hot?"
"No. It’s nothing." Lexie answered instantly.
As Lexie was feeling shy, Ardentis was filled with anger.
The awakeners said his elder brother was nothing compared to Ren, so anger rose in him like a tide.
"You! I dare you say it again!" Ardentis roared angrily.
"He is angry again. Haha." Kairos laughed as he saw Ardentis’ face turn red with anger.
"I had expected this," Adrian commented with a smirk. "After all, he is a short-tempered beast."
"Damn right!" Elian added.
"If you’ve got the guts, say it again!" Ardentis’ voice was cold and dangerous.
They were no longer in the temple, so he would kill them if they dared to insult his older brother again.
"Your brother is nothing compared to brother Ren. It’s like comparing gold to a stone." Dan repeated his words. "Why? Do you want to fight me? Come. I’m not afraid of you."
