The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system-Chapter 328: The end.
While everyone else went off to have fun, Yura approached Zhang Xian and barely grasped onto the thick green jacket he was wearing to keep the cold away.
He turned around and faced her, uncertainty written in his eyes.
"Can we talk for a minute?" she asked.
He nodded.
She led the way onto the bus and he followed after her. This was not to be missed by NaNa of course, as she was keeping an eye on him. The minute he got onto the bus, she slowed her feet down with a plan to abandon her side by grandma Zhang and hurry off to the bus.
Caishen and Bo also noticed what had just happened. It was hard for both brothers to concentrate on having fun and smiling when they were more interested in what was happening between their parents.
Was there going to be a reconciliation or was it a separation?
Caishen turned his wheelchair around. He wanted to go back and stay close just in case their mother needed him.
"Don’t, mother can handle her own business." Bo put a hand on the wheelchair and shook his head while looking at his brother.
Far ahead in the distance, surrounded by her brothers, Alix heard what was said and she turned back briefly. She looked at the Zhang brothers and then the bus.
"Do you want to see what is happening in there?" the system asked her.
Even though she had superior vision compared to all the humans in the world, possibly, it was not x-ray vision. She couldn’t see through walls and metal. So, when the system asked if she wanted to see inside, her interest was piqued.
At the same time though, she felt uneasy because what happened between Yura and her husband was none of her business. Still, just in case something went wrong, she decided to look in briefly.
"Can i do that?" she still asked, curiously.
The system didn’t respond but on the virtual screen, footage suddenly appeared in front of her. It was the inside of the bus,Yura and Xian were sitting opposite of each other. She had a white envelope in hand.
"The bus has a camera. While you were sleeping, i tapped into it out of boredom. I also tapped into everyone’s phone. If you need to know the secrets about everyone here just tell me." the system told her.
"No thanks." she turned it down immediately.
Just as she wanted her secrets to be hers alone, so did everyone. That’s why they were called secrets.
Out of nowhere, a hand holding blue cotton candy popped in front of her. "Alix, do you want cotton candy?"
"Thank you, brother Ho Sun." she answered.
"Where is my mine?" Jiaan asked.
On the bus in the meantime, Yura handed Zhang Xian the white envelope.
"It’s our divorce agreement, i have already signed it. You should sign it too right now and we can both be free."
Zhang Xian took the envelope and opened it. Just as Yura said, she had already signed it and even stamped it with her personal seal.
"If you want, you can have your lawyers look at it first but that will just prolong the process. I do not want alimony from you or any part of your assets." She told him.
She laughed softly, kind of mocking herself in her mind. What assets what was she talking about. Before marrying the next chairman of the Zhang group, she had signed an ironclad prenuptial agreement and non disclosure agreement. If she divorced him for any reason, she would walk away with nothing but a one time alimony payment in the sum of two hundred fifty million.
Her company was worth more than that now, and she didn’t need the alimony. Receiving money from the elders would make her feel pathetic, and she didn’t want to feel that way.
Zhang Xian put the document down and he folded his arms. He looked at her with a pained expression filled with regret and guilt.
"I am sorry," he said softly.
"Why are you apologizing?" she asked him. She tilted her head and added, "Aren’t you tired of apologizing. Just so we are clear, i am not getting a divorce because i hate you or anything. We are just different people now from who we used to be and it’s best if we live our lives apart. This is the end for us i guess."
In her mind, she thought to herself, i am too proud to beg for you to stay with me. I cannot take you back when you have been with another woman that you continue to defend. I cannot live with you when you look at another woman the way you used to look at me. You don’t even look at me like you used to and when we meet, we don’t even talk anymore. You left me first, it just wasn’t official. ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom
A small voice in her mind piped up and said, "I hate you."
She shook her head and chased the unvoiced thought away. Of what use was it to hate a man for doing something when he had no understanding of the situation?
Zhang Xian nodded, unsure if she was telling the truth or lying to him. He had a feeling that she was lying, of course.
Shortly after he returned, she asked him to choose between her and NaNa and he couldn’t decide.
Both women had been great wives and they had made sacrifices for him.
But Yura seemed colder and independent. She was like a stranger to him even now despite the fact that his memories had started returning.
NaNa was warmer to him and familiar. In a time when his life was unbalanced, he was clinging on to familiarity. He couldn’t deny that he also loved NaNa, despite her rough edges.
She was the woman who accepted him when he was broke and ugly with that horrible scar on his face so how could he not love her?
The only good thing he could do for Yura was to sign the divorce papers and let her go.
"Still, i have to apologize because i failed to meet your expectations." he told her in a weak voice.
A new voice cut into their conversation and the divorce papers were pulled from Zhang Xian’s hands.
"What is this?" NaNa asked.
She didn’t read the papers but looked at Zhang Xian instead, with the angry eyes which she had often, lately.
In an outraged voice, she asked him, "Why are you talking to her like that, as if you have no voice? Why do you act so weak around her Yue? Why do you hold your head down like a criminal? Are you scared of her?"
Zhang Xian looked up at NaNa and took a deep breath. He raised his voice when to talking to her.
"Now is not the time for this, we are just handling some important business."
NaNa didn’t listen to his explanation and turned her angry eyes onto Yura instead.
"He is not a criminal, my husband. Just as your sons told our Yong that he is not owed anything since the Zhang family didn’t know about him, so does my Yue not owe you anything since he didn’t know that you existed." she shouted. "Why do you have to make him feel like unworthy crap. Why do you keep holding your head high and talking down to us as if we are unworthy?"
Yura was a little stunned by the accusations. She hard not interacted with NaNa one on one so when had she talked down to her?
