The President's Pregnant, Ex-Wife-Chapter 470 - Did I hear something like a love seed?
Chapter 470: Chapter 470 - Did I hear something like a love seed?
Laura did not intend to tell him about it but was not hiding it either. She was only protecting what she had with the man she loved.
Nevertheless, the blended pain and envy covering Julius’ face brought her desired satisfaction. Laura fueled all the negative emotions meandering on Julius’s face.
"Yes, and I plan to have a dozen children."
Julius was so furious, he looked scary. "After taking my family, you think I will allow you to have that dream?"
Laura boldly said, "It’s not a dream but reality."
When Julius targeted her stomach again, she bent down and removed her belt at the same time, she flipped it and it hooked Julius on the ankle, he fell and hit his shoulder on the center table.
Her move shocked him; his eyes were filled with fear. Laura wrapped the belt around his left leg, tying it to a chair.
As Julius made the move to free himself with all the skills he could think about, she brought out a rope and tied his hand to the leg of the sofa.
With the same rope, she tied his other hand to a recliner. As for the free leg, she brought out a knife and stabbed him in the leg.
She had wanted to kill him through physical combat but after consistently targeting her stomach, she resolved to this method.
Julius was restricted, unable to move, wounded, bleeding, and in pain. He couldn’t even moan the loss of his family properly but if he could make it out alive, he was sure to hunt Genesis down to get his revenge later.
Putting on a pitiful look, he tried appealing to her conscience once again. "Genesis, please, it wasn’t my fault. You already took my family."
Laura was bitter. She was a woman scorned and the only thing on her mind was revenge. Her family’s death, to her, should not be in vain. Even as it took a long time, she still got them the justice they deserve.
"It isn’t enough to be an outstanding agent. You should be smart and have empathy. You should know your clients before accepting a job. I am proud to say that I’ve never killed an innocent person."
Laura removed another gun and shot him exactly where he had shot her in the past, but it wasn’t enough for her to see the life draining out of him.
She slit his throat with a knife before feeling relieved. Bringing out her phone, she made a call, asking,
"Did you bring what I told you?"
"Yes," the person promptly responded. Laura revealed her plans to him after confirming that Julius was dead.
Even if he survived the gunshot like Laura did, she was certain that he would never survive the slit in the throat.
"I’m jumping out of the window. Throw it in two minutes."
Laura used the two minutes to set the room on fire, knowing that emergency services would soon be there. With a rope, she jumped out of the window at the same time a female corpse was thrown in.
Landing safely on the ground and discarding the rope, she called her helpers on the phone. "Thanks guys. I’m indebted to you."
"Anytime, Agent one. Have a peaceful life," they responded in a sad tone, knowing that that was the end of the road for them.
If they ever met Laura again, it might just be by coincidence because she was no longer in their league.
Laura went into hiding for a few days after the media captured the news and spread it everywhere. She also heard about Ethel’s demise and knew that she had to be there for Jacob.
If not, she would have stayed away for a longer time before showing her face.
At the funeral home, Jacob was still in shock as he pressed Laura hard to his chest. It meant that Robin was right.
As he pulled away, Laura chuckled, "you didn’t think I would lose our love seed, did you?" She was rubbing her stomach.
When Jacob caught the meaning of her words, he hoisted her in the air as their lips locked. It was a shock that something like this was happening in a funeral home, but Jacob found joy again after the loss of his mother.
Their lips locked together and when they pulled away, Jacob asked as soon as he dropped Laura gently on the floor, "Then what about the body in the fire?"
Laura smiled and responded, "It was all part of the plan. If they think I’m dead, then they will cease looking for me," she explained.
Jacob smiled in understanding. ’So she faked her death to live a new life with me, just as she faked it to be an agent to get her revenge.’ As Jacob thought about these things, a smile stretched his lips and he asked,
"And are you sure that our seed is safe?"
Laura nodded her head seriously in confirmation. "I did all the checks before coming here. Everything is fine."
She couldn’t bear to lose what they had after seeing the look on Jacob’s face. However, unknown to them, some anxious people had been listening to their sweet conversation and Sabrina could not help but ask,
"Did I hear something like a love seed? Are you pregnant, Laura?" Sabrina, Robin, Lizzy, Matilda, and their husbands gathered around her as she smiled and said,
"Yes. I found out a few days ago."
"Congratulations!" they said and hugged her. The guests were confused. The funeral was being turned into a joyful occasion.
As congratulations filled the air, Jacob did not realize it when his mother’s casket was lowered into the ground.
Laura’s return restored joy to the family, especially with the expectation of another little one.
A few days later, Robin was having a chat with Jacob, but since it involved Laura, they called her to join the meeting.
"Laura, since you are pregnant, I presume that you won’t work for us," Robin said as Jacob countered,
"Even if she wasn’t pregnant, she wouldn’t. She has to work in her company," he said proudly. Laura would take on Ethel’s role in helping Jacob manage the business, but Robin had another concern.
"You guys haven’t spoken about your wedding. When are you getting married?" The word ’wedding’ caused Laura to stiffen.
