The President's Pregnant, Ex-Wife-Chapter 446 – It’s over.
Chapter 446: Chapter 446 – It’s over.
"It’s them. They caused the accident. Isn’t this the woman the truck driver spoke about?" Daniel was ready to strangle the woman in her already unconscious form.
Robin was numb, surprised that they were contending with their old enemies as he had guessed all along.
"It’s her," Robin agreed, the same time the line connected and he heard a faint voice on the line, excusing himself from Daniel.
"Hello."
"Are you alright?" Robin asked the chief of security agents. He was awakened by the ringing of his phone due to the medications given to him as a result of his injuries.
"I got injured but I’m feeling better," he said in a weak voice. Robin had seen the number of agents who got injured when those numerous limos appeared from nowhere.
That was not part of the deal so he was already thinking about a way to make it up to them for the sacrifices made.
"I’m so sorry. Where is the woman you arrested before?" Robin sympathized and asked, as he wanted to get to the bottom of this.
He only hoped that the chief of security agents had not let the woman go as Robin had suggested before.
For the first time in his life, he would be happy if the chief of security agents had indeed disobeyed him.
"She’s in one of the store rooms at the hotel."
Robin’s heart warmed. It meant that he was going to have all his enemies together in one place.
"Please have her conveyed through one of your men to a place I would show you," Robin instructed.
Though the man was in the hospital, he was still the only one who could do what Robin wanted without moving from his bed.
Everything could be done through the phone. "Okay."
Robin was about to hang up before he recalled something urgent and asked once again, "And what about the DNA test?"
"It will be ready in three days," the man at the hospital revealed. Robin smiled a little.
"Have a good recovery. I will take care of the rest."
"Thank you very much, Mr. Jewel. It’s a pleasure working with you," the man in the hospital bed said.
He was not yet aware that the culprits had been apprehended but could discern from Robin’s tone that things were fine.
"Same here and oh, you and all your injured men would have compensation for it too," Robin suddenly said. The man on the bed smiled.
Robin was the highest paying client, so if he was going to reward them, the man faintly guessed that it was going to be big.
"Thank you very much, Mr. Jewel."
Robin smiled and ended the call, just as he saw one of the agents standing beside him and Daniel.
The agent had come to inform him that the pilot was ready to take off, but because Robin was talking on the phone, he waited. From the line of conversation, he guessed that Robin was talking to his boss.
"Mr. Jewel, are we getting compensations too? We could have been killed down there, you know," the agents jokingly said. But Robin laughed and replied,
"Sure, sure, you all deserve compensations."
The atmosphere was instantly warm as they all walked to the chopper. As it took off, Robin asked,
"How long are they supposed to be unconscious and how is he like that?" He asked, referring to how the fake Robin seemed to have bruises all over and was bleeding through them.
"They won’t be unconscious for too long, but we can sedate them if you want. As for the bleeding, I could say that he had some surgeries from the things I saw in their room."
Robin’s hands balled into fists, but no one saw it. The mention of surgeries gave him the certainty that these people were indeed his old enemies, but he was yet to find out who was who.
"You should sedate them and send them to a place I would show you," Robin said calmly. The agent thought about something and revealed,
"The young woman tried to bribe us down there."
Robin had a faint suspicion that the young woman was Mara, which could mean that the person in the hotel storeroom was Zayla.
Only Mara would have the audacity to attempt to bribe someone, as it had worked for her before.
"What did she say?"
"I didn’t let her finish before I knocked her out."
Robin appreciated the response. It meant that the agent was not interested in whatever offer Mara had for him.
"Get her blood sample for a DNA test as soon as we arrive. And don’t worry. Your compensation will be great," Robin said reassuringly, and the two agents smiled from ear to ear.
"I trust you, Mr. Jewel."
As soon as the chopper landed, Robin and Daniel made sure that the four people were locked in the villa Robin was building for Zayla back then.
After the blood samples were taken, Robin took the keys with him while they went to the hospital.
The two men had not considered their appearance until they saw their wives.
Sabrina was still in her wedding gown and Lizzy was still in her maid of honor dress. Sabrina lunged at Robin, but he suddenly became self-conscious and stopped her.
"I think I need to shower first."
Sabrina laughed, ignoring his protest, and engulfed him in a tight hug. "I’m just glad that you made it back in one piece."
Robin’s heart warmed to see her so happy, and he kissed her passionately on the lips. Pulling away, he said to her,
"You and the twins were on my mind the whole time, so I was extremely careful."
Sabrina giggled as two bodies collided beside them, and they turned to see Daniel and Lizzy in a tight hug as Daniel said,
"It’s over, Lizzy, it’s over."
Sabrina heard it and asked Robin, "Did you get them?"
Robin smiled reassuringly. "Yes. Once the DNA test result is ready, I will take you there. The woman who paid the truck driver was also there."
"Mara’s caretaker?" Sabrina was already pale from fright.
"Yes," Robin hugged her protectively and responded as Sabrina asked again,
"So, you mean it’s them? Is it Martin, Mara, and Zayla?" All those names caused her to shiver slightly.
