The President's Pregnant, Ex-Wife-Chapter 445 – It’s them. They caused the accident.
Chapter 445: Chapter 445 – It’s them. They caused the accident.
"Agent one, we’ve apprehended them," the agent reported, excitement lacing his voice.
Laura was so excited that she almost screamed if not for Robert, who was sleeping soundly in her arms after nursing.
Jacob was trying to put the tired Savannah to sleep and together with Laura, they worked like a couple in taking care of the twins.
"Good. That is good news. Have you informed our boss?" Laura asked excitedly, the agent wondered if he was speaking with agent one as she never showed this kind of excitement in any of the successes she chalked before.
"Not yet. We were just so excited that we ended up informing you first," the agent said, while getting ready to move the two bodies into the elevator for the time being.
The elevator was quite smaller than usual, so it was even too small for four people, and they had to adjust.
"It’s good news indeed. Is Mr. Jewel there?" Laura asked, excited to see or hear Robin’s reaction.
This pursuit was even more deadly than that of Martin and Laura and she could not wait to know whom this Robin’s look-alike was.
"We are in the elevator and would soon meet up with him," the agent said, and Laura couldn’t wait to hear Robin’s response.
"I know that he’s going to be very happy. Good job, guys. I can finally sleep now," Laura yawned as if she was injected with a sedative.
She had kept a hawklike eye ever since the problems showed up. Now, she felt like she could finally take a nap.
"Good for you. We still have a three-hour journey to make," the agent spoke with a tinge of jealousy. Laura sighed and replied,
"Don’t worry, I believe that Mr. Jewel would use a chopper."
The agent was surprised by the way Laura seemed to know Mr. Jewel so well and easily predicted his next actions.
The elevator almost reached the top when he heard a strange sound and instantly guessed what it was.
"Yeah, you are right. I can even hear the sound of it. Have a good sleep, agent one and thanks for your help."

On the surface, Daniel asked Robin, "Are we supposed to go with the cars?"
As Robin thought about the long drive and how he was already missing his wife and kids, he couldn’t embark on that journey again.
Suddenly, a few names popped into his mind, making him settle on one of them. "Um, I think I have a good friend around here. Let me see if he can lend us his chopper."
Daniel sighed with relief. "That is great. I don’t have the strength to drive back such a long journey."
Due to a previous accident, he would occasionally suffer from back pains but had not told anyone about it, so they wouldn’t worry.
Robin smiled and dialed a number. After a few exchanges, he ended the call. "The chopper would be here in less than five minutes."
Daniel was both excited and jealous, asking, "What friend is that? I feel jealous."
Robin shook his head and chuckled a response. "I did him a favor a few years back and he promised to return it. Now is the time. I just remembered it because I was in his territory."
Daniel was happy for the arrangement and looking around, he saw a red light on the underground entry.
Since he had expected the agents to use the stairs, he was slightly taken aback. "The elevator door is beeping. Could it be your look-alike?" He asked with a frown.
Robin thought quickly. If it was indeed his look-alike, Robin was not sure that the guy would defeat him in a fight though.
"We shall be ready for him then," he said sternly, just as they heard the sound of a helicopter from a distance away, approaching them in landing.
"Good thing the chopper arrived on time."
The elevator door opened and the agents were carrying two unconscious bodies into the chopper. The body of the fake Robin was dropped first as the second agent said,
"Please hold the elevator door. If it closes, we won’t have access."
Robin held the door and was about to ask the reason why they needed to go back when the agent explained,
"I have to go for the third body."
Robin’s eyebrows raised as he asked, "There is another one?" freeωebnovēl.c૦m
He had seen the two bodies, and aside from the fake Robin who had caused him problems, the woman was unfamiliar.
"Yes, a woman," the agent said.
Robin recalled the person the chief of securities said he had apprehended earlier. If there were indeed four people involved in all this, then it could be his old enemies, right?
Since the fourth person was inside, Robin would only conclude after seeing the person. "Alright. Go and bring her."
The agent called on the other and said to Robin, "he has to hold the door for me when we get there."
Robin nodded and the two agents went back inside. Within a few minutes, they returned with a third body as Robin made another call to his friend.
"Thanks for the chopper but I still need help."
"Anything for you, Mr. Jewel," his friend spoke eagerly from the end of the line. Robin placed his request immediately.
"I need designated drivers to drive the cars back to Manhattan for us."
"Same location?" The man asked and Robin responded,
"Yes."
"No need to worry then. It would be done as you have requested."
"Thank you," Robin said with genuine gratitude, the man laughed from the end of the line, saying,
"I am glad to help."
Robin instantly called the chief of security agents the moment the elevator door opened and the third person was carried out.
His heart was thumping all through as Daniel already ascertained upon taking a closer look at the woman.
"It’s them. They caused the accident. Isn’t this the woman the truck driver spoke about?"
