The Alpha's Fated Mate Is an Outcast-Chapter 86
Chapter 86: Chapter 86
Keelion pinched his brows with a groan at the back of his throat.
He’d been in his office all day. ’Locked himself in’ would be the correct term. Anyone who saw him would think he was sick or something because of the way he looked, but he wasn’t.
He had, in fact, gone into his rut, and if he ever dared step out there, where he knew those omegas were, forget about him, but his pheromones alone would mess them up.
He’d always kept his pheromones completely under control because he knew it made omegas lose their minds, but during his rut, he never had control over it. Trying to keep it under wraps rather backfires and hurts and he couldn’t put anyone at risk by stepping out of that office.
And so he waited and waited until it was almost eleven in the evening.
He breathed out, his breath hot, and stood up from his office leather chair.
Keelion popped off the few buttons of his shirt and grabbed his phone, proceeding to the door to leave.
This was the one time he always felt vulnerable, completely enough that anyone could actually hurt him if they wanted to. Alphas were his biggest threat during this time because his rut physically weakened him.
He shut the door behind him and ran his fingers through his hair.
Alexis...he needed to find her. His mate, he had to find her.
Cracking his neck back and forth, he proceeded to the room he gave her, but she was nowhere to be found. Not in his and not even with Augustus.
Where the heck was she?
He grunted at the discomfort he felt and he walked over to the stairs that led downstairs.
That was where he paused.
Her scent was all over the last floor.
Why would Alexis be downstairs?
Keelion was down the flight of stairs in the blink of an eye and following her scent, he got closer to an empty unused room, pausing at the sound of her voice.
"So what’s going on? Are you...his lover? The alpha." The voice belonged to a male. A beta because he couldn’t smell a scent.
"No. I’m not his lover," Alexis spoke. "There is nothing between us actually. We just know each other, that’s all."
"Really? Then does that mean I can do this?"
"Do what?"
His very eyes watched the bastard put his fucking lips on hers—the woman that belonged to him.
The instant rage that overcame him was like a match to gasoline, and he was right next to Kaelis in an instant, grasping him by the throat and lifting him off his feet.
His rut may weaken him, but no beta or even an alpha was still a match for him.
"K-keelion?" Alexis spoke his name. And it made him all the more mad.
His claws lengthened, sharp and long, piercing into Kaeli’s neck with every intention to kill him.
"How dare you touch her?" Keelion snarled, then chucked him across the room like he weighed nothing. "HOW DARE YOU PUT YOUR HANDS ON WHAT BELONGS TO ME?!" he roared into the room.
But Kaelis was struggling to breathe. His neck was bleeding. He was going to die if someone didn’t help him.
Keelion wasn’t done with him. He wanted to kill him, and he was going to, but Alexis rushed up to him, grabbing his arm and shaking her head at him. "No, please, Keelion, stop. Don’t hurt him, please."
Her eyes had gone teary and she hurried towards Kaelis, falling on her knees next to him and grabbing his shoulder to lift him into her arms.
"Get away from him," Keelion demanded silkily. "Get away from him, Alexis!"
Alexis shook her head at him with teary eyes. "Keelion, please, he’s dying. He’s my friend, he needs help, please..."
"Alexis, get away from him," he repeated.
But she wouldn’t. Instead, sobbed harder. "It’s not his fault. H-he didn’t know. Please, don’t kill him, he’s my only friend. My only friend, Keelion."
His chest ached painfully, the more he watched her. That tears she was shedding for another man. How could she?
"AUGUSTUS!" he bellowed so loudly, that Augustus without a doubt heard and was rushing over.
Keelion stormed towards Alexis and grabbed her by her arm, yanking her up to her feet.
"Keelion, Keelion, please."
"Shut up!" he snapped at her. "He’ll be fine."
She hurried her steps to keep up with him while sniffling and rather still worrying about Kaelis. But Augustus would help him, she was sure of it. He wouldn’t let Kaelis die.
Keelion shoved her into the room and heavily kicked the door shut. He roughly slammed her against it and got in her face with the kind of rage she had never seen on him before, not like this.
"I’m sorry. I-I didn’t know he was going to do that."

She forgot how to breathe.
"No. I’m not his lover. There is nothing between us actually. We just know each other, that’s all." His breath tickled her ear. "Is that all I mean to you? Huh?"
"But," she whispered, breaths coming out in rapid puff. "That is...that is the truth. Y-you’re the one who chooses her over me."
He leaned close, dark eyes feral.
"I chose nobody over you—Alexis," he said silkily. "You think a woman like that who makes me feel like nothing could replace you? Have you lost your mind? I don’t choose anybody over you."
He made a harsh noise in the back of his throat.
"You are what I want, what I need and I am done pretending about it."
Everything felt hot and mind-boggling. His pheromones were all over the place sipping into every inch of her. Every touch of his felt like lava against her skin.
"Keelion." Her stomach fluttered.
His lips hovered next to her ear. "You think this is a fucking game, Alexis?" He spoke her name like a confession. "I don’t play games. You belong to me and only to me. You are mine, my mate and you knew that before you let him put his hands on you."
