The Alpha's Fated Mate Is an Outcast-Chapter 111
Chapter 111: Chapter 111
Keelion woke up with his head banging in so much pain. He grunted painfully under his breath and glanced around the room wondering where he was.
This was his room, and he was on the bed. Someone had been in his room, but who was—
The door pushed open, and he lifted his head. The scent was familiar. Althea.
What the heck was she still doing here?
"Fane?" She paused at the door. "You’re awake."
"What the fuck are you doing here?" he snarled at her and got off the bed, rising to his feet, hands reaching to button up his unbuttoned shirt.
She bit into her bottom lip, giving him an innocent look. "I came in because I wanted to talk to you, but...I found you unconscious."
"Get out of my room," he ordered.
"Why?" Althea kept aside the glass of water and hurried towards him. "I know that you’re mad at me for what I did down there yesterday, but I just... I didn’t want you... I’m sorry. I’m sorry for doing that, but you can’t hate me for—"
His fingers came around her throat, strangling her as he pushed her back against the wall. "I told you to get the fuck out of my room. I don’t give a fuck about what you did downstairs. I don’t want to see your repulsive face, you irritate me, so get the hell out of my face before I actually lose it on you."
"Are you blaming me?" she asked, not in any way frightened because deep down, she knew that the last thing Keelion would ever do was hurt an omega. He would never want to be a man like his father had been to his mother. "You think it’s my fault she left you, right?"
Keelion’s grip tightened around her throat. "Say that one more time, I dare you—"
"She didn’t love you," she said to him. "Alexiis never loved you. She was here with you because you were the only one who could protect her. The moment she saw that not even you could protect her anymore, she ran and left you. You don’t mean anything to her and deep down you know that. You know I’m not lying."
Keelion angrily shoved her. "Get out. Now!"
She stared at him, but the murdering intent in his eyes was enough to let her know that if she didn’t leave him alone right now, the man might actually hurt her.
"I’m sorry. But you know I’m not lying. I’m the one who loves you, the one who stays no matter what. Even if you don’t love me or regard me enough. I’m always here and I stay because I do love you, unlike her. You should choose wisely, Fane. You’ve hurt yourself."
And she left, slamming the door shut.
Keelion staggered back on his feet and roughly ran his fingers through the white strands of his hair.
This had to be a lie. Alexis loved him—she told him he did. It couldn’t all be in his head, right? All of that couldn’t have been a mere delusion.
Alexis didn’t pretend she loved him, so that he would protect and do anything for her. No, not Alexis. She wasn’t like that. His beautiful mate—she wasn’t like that. She was too kind, too sweet, too good for this world and even for him.
She loved a man like him—someone as cruel as him. She knew he wasn’t perfect, but she still loved him. Why would anyone tell him that she didn’t—try to convince him otherwise?
No, he had to find her. He needed to find Alexis.
He would never believe that she didn’t love him—not unless she said it to his face, telling him with her very own mouth that she didn’t.
Where could she be? Where could he possibly find her?
Keelion anxiously began to pace back and forth.
What if she was in danger? What if someone had taken her against her will?
Augustus? No, no, he knew Augustus too well. Yes, he was missing too, but Augustus wasn’t like that. He would never hurt Alexis, someone he knew was important to him.
The other man. Kaelis. No, he may have had the audacity to put his mouth on the woman that belonged to him, but that man didn’t have the courage to ever try something like that, right after knowing Alexis was his mate.
Then who? Who was it? Who would take—
Lorcan!
The name slammed into his head
If there was anyone who would be that daring, it was Lorcan. His older brother—the only person who would be brave enough to take what belonged to him.
Alexis had to be with him.
If he was going to find her, it was with Lorcan.
Keelion’s hands balled into such tight fists his knuckles turned paper white and cracked.
He switched into a different pair of clothing and left the room, storming his way out of the mansion.
He wasn’t taking anyone, but if truly Alexis was with Lorcan, goddess-forbid, he would hurt Lorcan in the worst way possible.
——
"Alexis!" Amora snapped towards Augustus where they were all seated in Lorcans’s massive living room.
Alexis still hadn’t woken up even after almost twenty-four hours. What sort of deep sleep had she gone into?
"What’s wrong?" Augustus asked.
"Keelion. He’s coming here. In fact, he’s almost here. Get Alexis."
"Wait, what?" Kaelis was confused. "How? I’m sure there is no way he would have known Alexis was here."
"Don’t underestimate a mate bond between a supreme alpha and a dominant omega." Amora glared at him. "And apart from that, Keelion knows deeply that Alexis didn’t leave him. So what do you think was his other conclusion?"
Augustus answers, "Someone abducted her."
"Exactly," she spoke. "And who do you think he believes is daring enough to take his mate from him?"
All eyes slowly turned to Lorcan who was busy on his phone.
"What?" He shot them a look.
Amora stood from her seat. "Where can we hide?" she asked.
