Chapter 975: THE FINAL BATTLE (41)

The heavy part of taking this journey was when she had to leave her babies. Iris had to let someone else to feed the babies, because it was impossible for them to go so long without eating.

Thankfully, Aliana found two women, who just gave birth to their children and were more than willing to help.

Of course, Cane had done a background check on them and they were clear, but still, everything about them would be monitored. They were not allowed to go out of the pack house and Aliana and Hanna would always be there to accompany them.

Joel and Finn would stay as well. They were the babies’ personal warriors, unless the time when they were being breastfed, the two young warriors were not allowed to leave the babies alone.

It was too much, but this precaution was more than necessary.

Bielle would be under Arella’s care and she was more than happy to have the baby with her. They also had found a woman, who would breastfeed her.

Aside from Iris four’s protectors, Abby, the beta, the gamma, Redmond and Will would go with them, while the rest would stay behind. They were needed here, more so, bringing so many people wouldn’t help in their case.

Rei could use them for his own advantage.

However, before they left, Abby went to the dungeon again to meet with Elder Rose. She didn’t know what to say, but she felt like she needed this moment.

"I know what you are thinking about," Elder Rose finally said after Abby refused to speak a word and only stand there. "I don’t think Iris can help you. She doesn’t like Liam to begin with. But, if Liam is with Rei right now, he’s gone." freewёbnoνel.com

Abby gritted her teeth. "You know that he is an evil creature, but you are still loyal to him." Her voice was shaking when she spoke. "You know what he had done to your baby, but you still stood by him."

Abby felt this rage within her that she couldn’t explain. In a way, Elder Rose had let this happened and now Liam’s life was in danger because of her. No, he was gone already.

But even with that knowledge, how could Abby stand still and watch he was being killed right before her eyes? She even helped them to kill him.

This was too cruel...

"Abby, you didn’t know what Rei could do," Elder Rose said in small voice.

"He is going to die, just like Decratic." Iris managed to kill that devil, she was going to succeed too this time, though, initially this was her duty to destroy Decratic and his followers.

"Have you forgotten? One important thing about Decratic?" Elder Rose raised her head, she stared at Abby with this sadness in her eyes. "You need to kill the real one. You need to kill the real Decratic."

Abby frowned when she heard that. "What do you mean?"

=============================

The preparation was done and they were ready to go. This morning, the entourage from Howling Wolf pack came, as they brought magic stone for Lou as many as they could find.

The merchant needed this just in case, Iris was not nearby and she couldn’t provide him with the power of the Sylph.

Once Lou had the magic stone, they were going to Lucentsand desert this night.

However, to their surprised, Kaz, Maria, Grilla, the white diamond tiger and Carla came as well. They heard about the birth of the twin and they insisted to come and see the baby.

Kaz and Maria looked a little bit awkward when they greeted Iris. They didn’t even dare to look at her in the eyes and spoke a word. They wanted to see the babies, but they couldn’t bring themselves to ask for permission.

In that case, Iris feigned ignorant too.

Called her petty, but she didn’t want anyone that she didn’t trust to be close to her babies, especially when she was away. It didn’t mean Kaz and Maria would harm her babies, as she knew how much they wanted them.

But, after what they had done in the past and how they acted, there was this thing that you called as consequences.

However, Iris let Carla, Grilla and Ezra to see the baby, actually she was grateful the two of them were here, because even though she was not so close with Grilla like she did with Amee, but this woman would be a tremendous help for her during this period of time.

Ezra was a little bigger now and he looked healthy, his wounds had faded away and he talked a little bit more. Iris was happy to see him again.

"They are so tiny," Ezra said, as he held Zander’s little fingers. The baby looked at him curiously, while Zenith was sleeping.

"You were also tiny when you were around this age," Grilla said. She held Zenith in her arms and was grateful that the luna allowed her to be with the babies.

Even though they missed the first seven days of when they were born to see their golden eyes, but there was no mistaken that the babies were the alpha, aside from their curls and their blue eyes, they looked exactly like baby Cane.

Grilla was there when the former luna of the Howling Wolf pack gave birth to him and his twins.

Zander looked around him and when his eyes caught Iris’s sight, the baby made a fuss, stretching out his short arms toward his mother, wanting his comfort.

Iris’s heart melted when she saw this and immediately came to pick him up. The baby snuggled against her. His mother’s scent must be very comforting.

"He is sleepy," Iris explained to Ezra when the Diamond White Tiger looked confused by the baby suddenly made a fuss. He didn’t hurt him. "You can play with him again when he woke up."

Ezra was more than happy to hear that.

"I don’t think I want to leave," Iris said softly, as she stared at her baby, watching him falling asleep in her arms.

However, when the night came and they were ready to leave, Kaz and Maria finally gathered the courage to approach Iris when Cane was not around, but unfortunately for them, Redmond was with Iris.

"Luna, can you spare some time?" Kaz said in small voice, he had dropped all the arrogancy and hatred. At this point, he looked very remorseful for what he had done, so did Maria.

They had learned about Sofia and what the alpha was up to. They felt even more stupid not to believe their alpha and even thought that Cane would be able to be fooled so easily, as it turned out, it was them, who was being fooled.

"No, she is busy, go away," Redmond said, he grabbed Iris’s elbow and took her away from Kaz and Maria, but he was also surprised because Iris didn’t retaliate, giving her kind nature, usually she would give them a chance to speak.

Redmond asked about that and her answer satisfied him.

"I have given them a lot of chance. They are old enough to be preached about the consequences of their action." Iris shrugged her shoulders. "Like you said, I am busy. I don’t have time for that."

Redmond laughed when he heard that, he was completely pleased with how much Iris had grown from that timid girl, who could stand up for herself to the perfect luna, the powerful one, to say the least.

Redmond still remembered that little girl, who opened her arms, asking to be hugged. The kindness in her blue eyes.

That helpless little girl, who desperately wanted people to want her back was a far memory...

"I don’t know if you would appreciate this, but I am so proud of you," Redmond said. He didn’t mean to say something cheesy, but he felt like Iris needed to know this.

Iris smiled brightly. "I am really appreciated that." She patted his back. "I am not ready to forgive Kaz and Maria, but I am ready to forgive Sofia."

Iris noticed that Sofia had been trying to get close to her, but every time she was about to try, she would back off in the end and mind her own business, as if she was not aware of Iris’s existence.

Redmond grinned. "Well, she has been hounding me down to make an opportunity to talk with you."

Iris raised her brows. "But you have never told me about this."

Redmond looked nonchalant when he replied. "Well, let her wait a little bit more."

Hearing that, Iris narrowed her eyes and scrutinized his expression. "You like it when she hounded you down."

"She can be cute if she was flustered," Redmond said with a sigh. He missed his little family. Now, he could have people, who waited for his return and... that was not a bad feeling. That was great to say the least.

"I don’t know you have this side of you," Iris chuckled.

"But, don’t tell her," Redmond said, his tone became serious. "She is going to beat me up."

Iris laughed now. "I am not promised, I think it will be entertaining to see she beat you up."

"Hey! Come here, quick!" Lou waved his hands from the distance.

"What are you laughing about?" Ethan jogged toward them. "Tell me what are you laughing about? I need a good laugh too. Lou has been stressing me out."

"Go away!" Redmond pushed the gamma away from him when he was getting too close.

Meanwhile, before they could bicker, Iris had rushed toward Cane.
