Chapter 946: THE FINAL BATTLE (12)

Zeke wouldn’t have imagined that he would meet his demise just like that, so did Dexter. In his eyes, his father was the strongest black magic, who couldn’t be beaten. He was a perfect example of power.

The plan from Decratic was clear that Zeke would inflict black magic, in which it would affect her and it would be easier for Zeke to get the luna.

However, they didn’t count for her rage, or rather... Zeke and Dexter didn’t count it. Because there was no way Decratic didn’t know what kind of result that would happen if you pushed her too far.

Zeke was an important pawn, but Decratic’s main goal was always Na. Iris in extent.

Lu had recognized it earlier that Zeke was the second pillars and Lou had showed it what happened when you destroyed the pillar. The backlash of his power and that was what happened to Iris.

The moment she killed Zeke, she experienced the backlash of her power.

At first, it felt like her whole body was being burned, the lightening around her went awry, her power was in disarray. Not to mention the divine power and the black magic within her clashed against one another.

Iris felt her inside was being ripped apart, as if there were claws that shredded her. The pain was unbearable, she couldn’t even scream, while her surroundings was so bright. It was very bright until it was blinding.

Iris couldn’t even sense any direction, whether she was being laid down on the ground or she was standing up. Everything was confusing and painful.

However, from outside, this blinding light that Iris saw actually very destructive. It killed everything in a strong shockwave, the monsters died, turned into ashes, the knights nearby didn’t even know what they were facing when they met their demise, even the shield protection of the magic users didn’t work.

Elder Dandolf created a portal to save himself and the other two elders, only then they were be able to escape this catastrophe.

The expand of her backlash was so great, the backlash reached the second fortress and killed the monster there.

Rei and Dexter escaped, while the black beast used the black wisp as a shield, but it was not enough. Its fur burned and it was apparent that he would turn into dust if this continued. The black wisp that shielded him faded and it roared in pain when the light touched its flesh, it turned into dust. The process was slow, but certain, as the beast kept resisting...

On the other hand, just a while before this blinding light appeared, a certain merchant was waiting for his death, but it didn’t come.

Lou waited for the agony, the pain from being eaten alive, yet as it turned out, there was no pain. He was not sure, whether he didn’t feel the pain or he simply died without feeling anything, just like how he prayed.

But when he opened his eyes, he saw the crows flew above him, just like the last time he saw them, but neither of the crows touched him.

"What is it? What’s going on?" Lou blinked his eyes when not a single crow wanted to get closer to him. "What? Is my flesh so bad that they will not come near me?" Lou sniffed himself, thinking it was his smell.

The merchant should be grateful that he didn’t die, but somehow, he felt offended.

Lou then tilted his head to see Lil Thing was still laying down next to him lazily, didn’t seem to care with their predicament and only then it clicked to him that the crows actually avoided Lil Thing, just like how the monsters avoided Lil Thing and the salamander during the battle, which everyone failed to notice.

"Damn! You actually useful!" Lou patted the bear’s bump, but suddenly it got up and growled. "What is it?"

Lil Thing nudged Lou, urged him to get up. That was when he saw this blinding light. The light consumed all the monsters and it moved so fast, spread so wide.

"What is that?!" Lou immediately climbed on Lil Thing’s back and the bear took him away from the light.

For a moment, this part of the realm felt like the second sun just appeared and burned them all, but once it dissipated, you could see the aftermath of it.

The place had turned into desert.

There were no carcasses, neither you could see any building. Only the crack on the ground, the fissure that was very deep that was still hissing the red smoke, yet there was no monster that emerged from there anymore.

Rain was no longer pouring down, the storm also had stopped and the wind went still. This place looked like this was not a habitant land at all.

In the middle of this seemingly deserted land, you could see a woman with her auburn hair, kneeling down on the ground, her blue eyes dimmed, she looked exhausted, lethargic.

She didn’t even realize when someone walked closer to her and knelt down beside her. His hand stretched out and he brushed her curls. The expression on his face was a mixture of relief and greedy.

"Finally, I found you." Decratic leaned over and kissed her forehead. "I really missed you, Na."

However, when his lips touched her forehead, he realized one crucial thing; there was no Na there. He couldn’t feel her life essence anymore. Her existence was no more.

His brows furrowed. His lips mumbled something.

"There must be a mistake..." Decratic whispered to no one in particular and then his eyes fell at her stomach. He could see the two little lights around her and his red eyes turned murderous. "How can you do this to me, Na? You shouldn’t have done this..."

Decratic grabbed Iris’s hair and pulled her head, until she faced him. Her blue eyes met with his red one.

"You are going to pay for this. I am going to get you back..."
