Chapter 1003: Just Wait For Some Good News

As the first wave of the war between Jinns and the Wanderers came to a close, Arthur finally arrived in the Aldebaran Continent.

Although he already knew that his family had safely survived the calamity, he still couldn't help but feel anxious until he saw them personally.

However, the moment he arrived in the Leventis Residence, the first person he saw was none other than Lady Callista, glaring at him.

"What are you doing here?!" Lady Callista glared at her husband. "You're supposed to be in the Cygni Continent, protecting Zion!"

"I came back after hearing what happened here."Overwhelmed by his wife's glare, Arthur decided to take the pacifist approach.

Right now, Lady Callista had broken her shackles, so her current rank was that of a Monarch.

Arthur, on the other hand, still had his seals in place, giving him the strength of a Throne.

"You could have talked to me through the communicator," Lady Callista said, resting her hands on her hips. "Everything has already ended, so what's the point of you coming here personally? Don't tell me you came here to help bury some bodies?"

"Callista, I was just worried, okay?" Arthur no longer backed down and approached his wife, hugging her tightly. "When I heard the news, I felt like my soul left my body. Zion hid everything from me until the last moment."

"And this is the reason why he didn't tell you anything," Lady Callista replied, but she didn't push away her husband, who was only worried about her safety.

"You would drop everything and come here, leaving Zion to fend for himself. You should be protecting him right now, and yet, you're here being useless!"

"Zion is strong," Arthur stated. "Even if I am not by his side, that brat has so many trump cards that he pulls out of thin air."

"You overestimate him so much." Lady Callista shook her head. "Zion may not look like it, but he is the most stressed person in the world. He is already carrying many burdens on his shoulders, yet he still made time to worry about our family.

"If he didn't make preparations beforehand, you wouldn't have any family to return to after the Ashford and Stallard Clans were done with us."

Arthur nodded in agreement. "I know. That's why we're lucky to have Zion as part of our family."

"Last time I talked to him, he said, 'Grandma, our house will become the Main Residence of the Leventis Family, you should live here with us and ditch Gramps since he will become the patriarch of the Branch Family'," Lady Callista replied. "It seems that he is right. You're the next patriarch of the Branch Family."

The corner of Arthur's lips twitched after hearing his wife's statement.

However, he was afraid that Zion's and Gerald's statement long ago was about to come true.

"Let's not talk about that brat for now," Arthur said. "Where are Aaron and Norman? Are they dead?"

"No." Lady Callista shook her head. "But they wish they were. They are still being tortured by Lord Erasmus. He had cut off their arms and legs, making it impossible for them to escape. You don't have to worry about them anymore."

Arthur nodded before asking about the current situation of the Leventis Family.

Callista no longer said anything unnecessary because they still had a few things to do in order to deal with the current situation.

"Tell Michael to bring half of our men to the airport in an hour," Arthur ordered. "I will pay a visit to the Ashford and Stallard Clans,: Arthur said with a sneer. "If they think it will end in this manner, I'll make them understand that they haven't seen anything yet."

Lady Callista could see that her husband intended to vent his frustrations on the remnants of the Ashford and Stallard Clans.

But she didn't make any move to stop him.

This was something that Arthur would have to deal with sooner or later, so she ordered one of her subordinates to call for Michael.

"Where is Lord Erasmus right now?" Arthur asked.

"He is somewhere in the mountain where Zion's house is located," Lady Callista answered. "You can visit Gerald and ask if he knows where Lord Erasmus is. Don't try to look for him by yourself because he might not look kindly upon you.

"He only answers to Zion and his family. If he hadn't been asked to look after us as well, he might have watched from the side as our home got obliterated by the Monarchs."

Arthur nodded. "I'll remember that."

He still didn't know how his no-good grandson was able to become chummy with very powerful beings like the Honey Badger, Cranky, a Majin Prince, and the two Majin Princesses. Now, the Lord of Death, Erasmus, was even added to the list.

When it came to his grandson, Arthur learned to just accept everything and not be surprised anymore.

After leaving the Main Residence, he arrived at Zion's house shortly. 1

The first thing he saw was Gerald relaxedly seated at the porch of the house, reading the newspaper while sipping a cup of coffee.

"You're here, old man," Gerald glanced at Arthur, who had entered his backyard without a second thought.

"Are you and your family alright?" Arthur asked. "Your mother said that you were attacked as well."

"We're fine," Gerald answered. "The only thing those fools did was disturb Rhia's and Remi's favorite cartoon show. Lord Erasmus dealt with the trespassers. I didn't even need to lift a finger, and it was over in an instant."

"Do you know where Lord Erasmus is?" Arthur inquired. "I want to personally thank him for everything."

"It will be best if you don't disturb him, Old Man," Gerald replied. "He is busy right now and doesn't want to be disturbed."

Arthur sighed and no longer pursued the topic.

"I just came here to check on you guys, I'll be leaving then," Arthur said before walking away.

But just as he was about to exit the gate, Gerald's voice reached his ears.

"Make them pay, Old Man," Gerald said. "No one tramples on us and gets away with it so easily."

"That's what I plan to do," Arthur replied without even glancing at his son. "Just wait for some good news."

Gerald watched his father go before turning the page of his newspaper.

Now that the two most annoying Monarchs in Pangea were gone, it was time for their family to flex their muscles and make everyone understand the price they would have to pay for even daring to try exterminating their family.
