System's POV-Chapter 1002: A Cause Of Concern
It had been two days since the Azothralls made their first appearance in Pangea.
The Jinn Armies had formed three main factions that would continue to wage war against the Wanderers.
However, they decided to let their armies rest, both to recover from the first campaign's fatigue and to give scouts time to search the area for the strange, alien-like monsters that had suddenly emerged.
After careful consideration, Thirteen shared the information about the Azothralls with all the Jinns equipped with a communicator within the Cygni Continent.
When the Jinns found out that the unknown monsters weren't part of Zion's army, the majority of them sighed in relief.
But that didn't mean that they were happy to know that it was a third party from another world who had unleashed biological weapons that were engineered to be the perfect killing machines.
As they continued to read the information that Zion had shared with them, the Jinns couldn't help but feel that the Azothralls posed a real danger to their safety. freeωebnovēl.c૦m
"Monsters that can adapt to any environment and evolve when needed," Prince Zepharion frowned. "They are indeed very dangerous creatures."
"Do you think that it's possible to form an alliance with them?" Prince Valen asked.
"… You want to form an alliance with them?" Prince Zepharion frowned.
"Only until the Wanderers are defeated," Prince Valen stated. "That way, all of us can work together to wipe these monsters out from this continent."
General Varrak crossed his arms over his chest and considered Prince Valen's proposal.
If they could come to an agreement with the Azothralls and come to a temporary truce, they could easily defeat the humans and take over the continent.
However, the real problem was what would happen afterward. He was certain that the Jinns wouldn't feel at ease until the Azothralls were defeated because Zion Leventis had hinted that the golden Azothrall would definitely feast on both Wanderers and Jinns to evolve into an Archon.
Once it became an Archon, there would be no one on the continent that could stop it from eliminating everything from the face of the land.
"What do you think, Your Highness?" General Varrak inquired. "Can we form an alliance with those monsters?"
Prince Zorren frowned. "If you want an honest answer, I'd rather ally myself with the humans than ally myself with these Azothralls. At least, they treat the Azothralls and us as invaders. But what about those Azothralls? I'm sure they treat everyone as food that will allow them to evolve."
The concept of evolution was a very common topic for Jinns.
All of them evolved by devouring each other.
Whether it be flesh, blood, or Jinn Cores, each served as a catalyst that would propel them to the next level.
There was no one more familiar with this concept than the Jinns, so they saw the Azothralls as creatures similar to them.
"As long as everyone cooperates and works together, both the Azothralls and Wanderers are nothing to fear," Prince Valen stated. "But I have to admit that having those creatures lurking somewhere behind us is still a cause for concern."
All the leader factions nodded in agreement. They had seen firsthand how easily those twenty-one Azothralls wiped out an entire faction, not leaving any survivors behind.
"The way I see it, the Azothralls will play a major role in the outcome of the war," General Varrak commented. "If they focus on attacking us, the Wanderers will find an opportunity to deal us a savage blow.
"If the Azothralls targeted the Wanderers, then defeating the humans will be easier. I don't want to say this, but finding their whereabouts should be our priority right now. Then, we will make contact with them and settle for a temporary truce.
"Although they might become our enemies after the Wanderers are defeated, it will be easier to deal with them at that time instead of always looking behind our backs."
Once again, the leaders of the different factions nodded in agreement.
"However, a long pause in the war will not do us any good either," Prince Orryn stated. "How about we compromise? One week. Within a week, we will do our best to make contact with these Azothralls. If we don't succeed, we will resume our war with the humans. Any more than that will just delay the inevitable."
"You do have a point," Prince Zepharion nodded. "Then, we'll do it that way. All the factions will send a few scouts to the surrounding areas and look for any traces of the Azothralls.
"But just to be sure, give those scouts the power to negotiate with them. That way, we might be able to save time and effort in this war."
"I don't have any objections," Prince Valen stated.
"No objections here." Prince Orryn nodded.
"Very well, let's do that." General Varrak eyed Prince Zorren, and the latter nodded to show his support.
Prince Xylen and the General of the Azrakith Court, General Xelnaav, remained silent during the entire meeting.
Prince Morrim of the Grunari also didn't say anything and focused his attention on the three leaders of the different factions. Right now, the Jinns had to be united to deal with the threats they would have to face in the future.
Even Princess Laventia and her sister, Crown Princess Xynalia, didn't join the conversation.
For those who always played the role of a neutral party in any discussion, they would just listen to the majority and follow their decision.
That was how the Kingdom of Velmoria managed to survive in Gomorra. None of them had actively sought out any enemies nor angered their neighbors, so they had always been overlooked.
Still, Princess Laventia had a bad feeling about the Azothralls who had suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
Such a threat must be eliminated at all costs, or else, it would spell their own doom.
But since she couldn't voice this out, she could only hope that someone else would mention it.
Unfortunately, the Jinns weren't too keen on adding one more enemy to their list while they were still fighting against the Wanderers, who had given them many surprises as of late.
