Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon-Chapter 749 - 747: Abandon Me (Bonus - )
"Let's make a deal."
Pamela was stunned when she heard this, and she could not help but look at Corey with a strange expression.
"Deal?" She tilted her head slightly, and Corey nodded.
"Yes. A deal. A... somewhat fair deal."
Pamela raised a brow, "Really? A somewhat fair deal?"
Corey smiled, "Yeah."
Pamela narrowed her eyes in suspicion and stared at Corey for three seconds before shrugging. "Alright."
Corey gestured at Divine, then Rosa, Kiefer, Selene, Lydia, and the rest of the group.
"I need to go somewhere. But if I go, I won't be able to protect them."
Pamela glanced at Rosa, Kiefer, and the rest of the group.
"I need you to protect them for me. Don't let any one of them die... And if peradventure, you have to choose between abandoning me and leaving with all of them, abandon me."
"Wait!"
"No!"
"Don't do that!"
The moment Corey said the last two words- abandon me, Lydia, Rosa, and Kiefer shouted and disagreed with his words. But Corey did not even spare them a glance, talk less of responding to their words.
He just stared into Pamela's eyes without blinking, and Pamela did the same for a few seconds before releasing an exasperated sigh.
"You want a fragile lady like me to protect your friends from so many Tier 6s? And maybe even a Tier 7?"
Corey's lips twitched, "Fragile?"
Pamela nodded with an innocent expression, "Yes, fragile... Or have you forgotten that you killed me? I'm so fragile to the point that you killed me with ease."
A vein appeared on Corey's forehead along with a dark smile the moment he heard Pamela's words.
"What fragile lady resurrects?"
Pamela chuckled, "You killed me."
Another vein appeared on Corey's forehead, "You took my crystal."
Pamela shook her head, "It's nobody's crystal. And once again... you killed me."
Corey's lips twitched and for some reason, he had the urge to tell Rosa to rough up Pamela. However, when he saw Pamela's smile, he had a feeling that Rosa might suffer it in some way in the future.
He released a deep sigh.
"Protect all of them, and I'll help you to remove the chains binding you."
Pamela raised her brows and gave Corey a look that meant- 'Are you a fool?'
"Is that all?"
Corey furrowed his brows slightly, "From what I can see, the runes have not only sealed your mana pathways, they've also blocked your connection to the runes. And they're extremely heavy also. Isn't that why you're on your knees with your hands behind your back?"
"They created those chains specifically for you."
Pamela smiled darkly before releasing a chuckle.
"So you also believe that these chains can hold me? Do I look so weak and helpless to you?"
Corey looked at Pamela from her head to her knees, and then he replied indifferently, "Yes."
Pamela's lips twitched repeatedly, and then tiny sparks of silver lightning flashed on the chains.
Corey's eyes flashed when he saw the tiny sparks of silver lightning.
'So I was right, she has fused with the Lightning Infinity Crystal.'
Although Corey had sensed the aura of the lightning infinity crystal on Pamela, he was not certain if Pamela had completely fused with the Infinity Crystal.
If it were another person, he would have used his Eyes of Omniscience to see the internal system of the individual, but with Pamela, he could not do it with ease.
The protections she had placed on her body were numerous, complex, and powerful.
'Since she has completely fused with the Infinity Crystal, she would be much stronger compared to before... I guess that's both a good thing and a bad thing.'
Corey watched as the tiny sparks of silver lightning destroyed the numerous formations on the chains, and in less than three seconds, the lightning sparks became bigger and the chains turned to ash.
Pamela stood with arcs of silver lightning traveling across her body, and with a cold expression and tone, she stared right into Corey's eyes.
"So? Do I still look weak and helpless to you?"
Corey looked straight into her eyes, and he saw lightning bolts flashing in her eyes.
"No." He nonchalantly replied, and then he frowned. He gazed in the direction of the titanic abomination, and his frown deepened slightly.
Pamela was just about to lash out at Corey's nonchalance, but then she saw Corey's expression and also looked at the titanic abomination.
A thought came to her mind, and a disgusted expression instantly appeared on her face.
"Don't tell me the place you have to go is in the mouth of that thing?"
Corey instantly looked at her with a baffled expression, "What? Of course not."
"Then-"
"It's none of your business."
Pamela was about to speak but Corey cut her off, and Pamela's right eye twitched.
"What do you want in return for protecting them?"
"Your crystal."
"Absolutely not."
"To study your body."
"Not in a trillion years."
"To study a drop of your blood."
"Not happening."
"Your hair?"
"No."
"Your-"
"You better say something that you feel like I'll agree to."
Pamela pouted when Corey said this, and a disappointed expression appeared on her face.
She placed her hands on her chin for a few seconds before she snapped her fingers with bright eyes.
"I've got it."
Corey looked at her without a change in his expression. He had already made up his mind that if Pamela said something he didn't like, he was going to enter the black sea and leave Rosa, Divine, and the rest to fate.
"You'll do one thing for me. I'll make sure it's not something that'll harm you or anybody you care about. I promise."
Corey stared into her eyes for a moment, and then he nodded.
"Alright."
He gave Divine to Rosa, and just as she, Kiefer, Lydia, and Selene were about to say something, he shook his head.
"Stay safe and leave if your lives are in serious danger."
Without waiting for a response from his comrades, he turned and walked away.
He needed to hurry.
