Chapter 600: Chapter 600 Teddy is Missing!
Abigail finally shook her head.
Nako wanted to say something more, but looking at Abigail’s haggard face and thinking of Jeffrey, who had been silent since he left Abigail recently, sighed and called the makeup artist to do her makeup.
Abigail closed her eyes, her heart heavy.
An hour later, Abigail’s makeup was done.
The makeup concealed the exhaustion on her face but couldn’t hide the desolation in her spirit. She did not have a hint of a bride’s joy.
It had only been a week, but Abigail’s mood was completely different.
The first time, although she had some unresolved doubts in her heart, she had loved her senior for ten years and felt it was a rare blessing for them to enter the hall of marriage. She had been looking forward to the wedding.
But today, Abigail found she couldn’t feel happy no matter what.
Even though her wish was finally coming true, even though she had liked her senior for so many years, and even though she had once dreamt of their wedding in her youth, she couldn’t stop thinking about another face when the moment came. She couldn’t even figure out why.
"Abigail, it’s done, you look beautiful." Nako saw Abigail dazedly staring at herself in the mirror and called her softly.
Abigail came to her senses, "Oh, yes."
"Shall we go then?" Nako saw Abigail’s dazed state and spoke with extra caution.
Abigail nodded. Things had come to this point; she felt like there was no way back. Maybe after Teddy left, she would slowly let go.
The life she couldn’t remember was not hers to begin with.
And the man with two faces was never her man.
Thinking of this, Abigail’s expression relaxed a lot. She looked up at herself in the mirror.
Today she wasn’t wearing a wedding dress but a red cheongsam, made of high-quality fabric. The top was extremely beautiful. It was custom-made in a small European country, and with such exquisite craftsmanship, it was evident how much effort her senior put into this wedding.
Abigail tried to shake off those untimely thoughts and followed Nako out of the room.
Jeffrey Foster, in a custom black suit, looked even more elegant and handsome, seeing Abigail made him slightly stunned. His eyes couldn’t hide his amazement. He couldn’t help but step forward, "Abigail..."
Abigail tried to pull out a smile, "Senior, do I look nice?"
"Did you forget again?" Jeffrey reminded her dissatisfiedly. Although he had told her many times, Abigail always called him senior. He could ignore it on usual days, but today was different.
Abigail smiled, "Okay, Jeffrey."
Jeffrey was pleased, a smile of joy spreading across his handsome face. He stepped forward and lightly kissed Abigail’s forehead, "Very beautiful."
Abigail didn’t expect her senior to kiss her. Her body tensed tightly. It wasn’t until he moved away that she relaxed a little.
Jeffrey couldn’t ignore Abigail’s reaction. A hint of hurt flashed in his eyes, but he didn’t show it. He took Abigail’s hand and walked outside.
At the door, Jeffrey smiled at Abigail, "You don’t mind if I carry you to the car, do you?"
Abigail was stunned. She remembered this tradition back home. But the last time she was at the church, she changed into her wedding dress there and didn’t have a car, so there was no such ceremony. But today was different.
Looking at the flower car Jeffrey somehow borrowed, it was parked outside the yard, covered with baskets of roses, and tied with pink macaron balloons swaying in the wind on both sides. In the picturesque English countryside, it had a fresh and pleasing romance.
"Okay." Seeing the anticipation in Jeffrey’s eyes and hearing the cheers around, Abigail nodded. The next moment, she was carried horizontally and walked towards the flower car.
Brandon Piers sat on the third floor, watching this scene, his eyes filled with fury.
He had never carried Abigail like that. He had never carried Abigail like that...
Alex felt that their young master was about to explode like the balloons on the flower car. To prevent such a tragedy, Alex risked the danger of being affected and stepped forward, "Second Young Master, we should be leaving."
Brandon didn’t speak. His mind was full of Abigail being carried by Jeffrey. He had never carried Abigail like that. Jealousy grew like wild grass. He couldn’t go in to pull it out; instead, it grew more and more vigorously, about to consume his sanity.
"Second Young Master..." Alex began to worry. In the past few days, their Second Young Master had been wandering around the villa like a ghost, barely eating anything. His previous clothes now looked loose on him. If Teddy didn’t need him still, Alex would have suspected Second Young Master was about to fade away.
Brandon ignored Alex, his eyes fixed on Jeffrey carrying Abigail into the flower car and then driving to the farm amid laughter.
It wasn’t until the car completely disappeared that Brandon came back to his senses and looked at Alex, "What did you just say?"
"Second Young Master, we should be leaving." Alex felt uncomfortable seeing Second Young Master like this. But the time was almost up, and they needed to head to the airport.
"Oh." Brandon blankly acknowledged. He remembered he chose today to leave Durin to avoid this scene.
For a moment, Alex didn’t know what Second Young Master meant by this "oh."
But Brandon had already turned and walked downstairs. Alex followed closely, afraid Second Young Master might do something crazy.
On the first floor, Aunt Claudia’s eyes were red, "Are we really not taking Abigail back?"
Alex didn’t speak. It wasn’t about taking Lady Abigail back. She didn’t recognize Second Young Master and wouldn’t go back with him.
Aunt Claudia knew but couldn’t accept it.
Brandon couldn’t answer Aunt Claudia’s question. She could ask him, but whom could he ask?
Juliet Rosa hurried down from the second floor at this moment, "Aunt Claudia, where’s Teddy?"
"Teddy? Isn’t he still upstairs?" Aunt Claudia asked, puzzled.
Juliet was taken aback, "No, he’s not upstairs."
"What?" Aunt Claudia’s heart skipped a beat. She busily looked around her, "He’s not downstairs either."
"Not downstairs?" Juliet was stunned. She hurriedly ran back to the nursery, carefully searched, almost crying, looked in other rooms, and finally, with red eyes said, "He’s really not upstairs."
She remembered bringing him downstairs.
Aunt Claudia and Alex also searched the first floor without finding him.
"I’ll check the third floor." Juliet said, rushing upstairs.
Brandon’s face darkened. How could the child go missing in the villa?
"Alex, check the surveillance." Brandon’s voice seemed calm, but his fists were clenched. He had just lost Abigail. If he lost Teddy too, he wouldn’t return home; he’d end his life directly.
"Yes." Alex responded hurriedly, flustered and went to check the surveillance.
All the people, both openly and secretly, came out to look for Teddy.
Half an hour later, the villa had been searched dozens of times, but there was still no sign of Teddy.
"Could he have gone outside?" Aunt Claudia worriedly murmured.
At that moment, Alex exclaimed, "Second Young Master, the Young Master crawled out!"
Brandon’s face was solemn, "Check the outside surveillance."
After speaking, his face tightened even more.
