Emily ended being much more passionate about music that the girls imagined, even as they flew through the skies, they had the privilege of hearing more of her melodies, she was amazing at the guitar for her age, and her melodies, sometimes intense and rapid, and other times soothing and relaxing, made the trip through the ruined city a very soothing and picturesque journey.

Ultimately, the girls reached the end of the ruined city, looking into the next are they were visiting, it resembled a wide dry steppes area, with cactuses, large stone cliffs, and a huge plateau in the distance, it seemed like a rather arid place, and the heat was strong.

"Ugh, it's hot… I can't play the guitar anymore…" Emily groaned, waving her hand over her face to get some air.

"It really is hot in here… Wow…" Alma sighed, sweating all over.

"Haah… Nyx don't you have some cold water? Or ice cream?" Fran asked rather shamelessly.

"I do! You can have some."

Nyx's Phantom Dragon took some stuff from her Little Shadow Realm, sharing refreshing drinks and also ice cream with the girls.

"Oh wow, I never thought I would get to drink ice cream like this, haha…" Emily laughed. "It's delicious, especially when you're so high in the sky!"

"I-I guess so!" Nyx sighed. "Haah… the heat's strong yeah… Which is weird because I'm cold blooded so it shouldn't really affect me that badly. Hmm, it probably has to do with some kind of effect of this place."

"A-Are you sure you can fly for this long?" Wondered Alma.

"I think I need some shade… Wait a sec," Nyx said, spreading her aura of shadows around and creating a parasol-shaped aura on top of her, held by her phantom dragons.

"Yeah much better now!" Nyx said.

"Oh yeah, without the strong burning sunlight it's more acceptable!" Emily nodded.

"Hmm!" Alma nodded while licking her strawberry yogurt ice cream.

"Um, so where is the other girl, Nyx?" wondered Fran.

"I think… both are together, I can feel their presences close to one another," Nyx explained.

"Woah really?" Asked Emily. "Maybe we can get two birds with one stone then… Wait how do you usually wake them up?"

"Eh, well, we first… fight whatever is protecting them or more like keeping them in their sleeping states, we had to fight a huge sludge monster for you," Nyx said.

"R-Really?" Emily asked.

From all things, they completely forgot to tell her Nyx had to fight such a thing!

"It was a huge man sludge thing that kept screaming," said Nyx. "It was strong but nothing against my dragon power!"

"I didn't see Nyx fight this serious before, she was so cool!" Fran nodded. "She used magic, and techniques and she did pow! And bam! And then ratatata!"

"Heheh, yeah it was exciting to watch," nodded Alma with a giggle, finding Fran adorable, petting her head.

"Huh!" Emily nodded. "I hope I can see you in action soon then!"

"Eh, I hope I don't have to fight anymore… I want to go back home already," Nyx sighed. "And find mom! But to get out of here we'll have to fight that big mean demon nightmare… I mean nightmare demon."

"Is he super strong?" Asked Emily.

"Not really, I mean, my mom was able to overwhelm him pretty quickly!" Said Nyx. "And I also helped her out. He was all talk! But on the last moment he trapped us inside of here."

"Do you think you could beat him?" Wondered Alma.

"I… sure! Yeah I can, easy peasy," Nyx nodded. "We just have to find him though! Oh!"

The girl looked down into the desert, feeling the presences down below.

They were located inside some deserted town, there was a huge manor in the border of such a town, where they were inside.

"The manor! Let's go!"

Nyx descended with the girls, who landed in front of the manor. Once they were out of her back, she quickly shapeshifted back into her smaller, humanoid form.

"Let's go! Maybe it's colder inside of it."

As Nyx walked towards the manor, Alma, Fran, and Emily looked at the town from afar, it was completely deserted, without a single person, similar to the city. However, without any moss on top of the buildings.

Nyx opened the door, calling the girls, who ran towards her and quickly entered the manor alongside them.

The door closed, as the town remained in silence…

The wind blew, and sand flew around the air…

A pair of crimson eyes were glancing from above, the desertic town and the manor had been trespassed.

"Dammit! They already found the last two!"

An annoyed, childish and demonic voice came from the eyes, floating around as they watched the desertic town.

"What do I do now?!"

They began thinking, looking around some more.

"I've ran out of resources and everything else… I cannot easily make the sludge again and… Hmmm."

He looked at the town's buildings, the forgotten objects of the people that were no longer here.

And at the old, decaying manor.

"What am I even saying? This place is oozing with Human Memories… As long as they exist, it shouldn't be too hard for me to convert them into what I want!"

Slowly, darkness began pouring into the entire deserted town, the ground began to tremble, and the objects inside the buildings rapidly were infected by this darkness.

The Memories they held of their previous owners, all began making them move on their own, trembling, something within them was awakening.

And the manor as well, filled with the memories of two girls, their memories and lives intertwined into a dream of hope and loneliness were also affected…

"It's now or never…!"

The furious eyes glared into the manor, as it began exuding a massive quantity of darkness…

Nightmare Miasma poured out like a gaseous, phantasmal mass of energy…

It wasn't as strong as the sludge, but it was potent on its own right.

"I'll make sure to kill all of you!"
