POSSESSION: The Hidden Omega In All Alphas' Academy [BL]-Chapter 122: I am different from him!

It was already past sunset when Kylian decided to return to his room, followed by Aiden who also lived on the same floor as him. As they got down from the abandoned new building and marched towards their dorm building, with his mood feeling slightly better than before, Kylian smiled at Aiden, "So, we didn’t find any ghosts at the building, does that mean those were only groundless rumors?"

"Of course, the rumor was spread by our gang boys in the first place, and I was the mastermind behind it." Aiden chucked back with a mysterious tint in his hazel eyes.

"Huh?" Baffled by the revelation, Kylian urged, "Why would you even spread such a pointless rumor among the students when there were no ghosts from the beginning?"

"Because I wanted to make it my secret comfort place, along with the mesmerizing view that I have let you witness already." Aiden exhaled a big huff of breath as he answered while glancing ahead at the dormitory building they were about to reach. "I didn’t intend to share my comfort spot with the other boys, thinking they might ruin the peace there."

"If not...then...why would you take me there?"

Kylian’s sudden curious mumble paused Aiden’s steps as he spread a wide smile across his lips, meeting his tender gaze with Kylian, "Because we are friends now, right? And...I liked having you there with me."

Indirectly Aiden tried to project his budding infatuation towards him. However, facing Zenith’s direct bold approaches until now had turned Kylian too naive to even get his indirect hint.

He stared blankly, blinking his ocean eyes at Aiden as he thought, ’But why would he even like having me there?’

~ "He’s hitting on you, stupid. I figured out, you’d be too thickheaded to realize that in the first place. But I feel...he’s into you now." Unable to stand his inner contemplation, Kylian’s wolf Morpheus grunted aloud inside him, making him wince hard from his revelation.

However, feeling a little irked by his wolf’s blatant assumption, Kylian scolded him through mind link, "Didn’t I tell you to stop putting confusion in my head? It was my fault to even heed your words about Zenith, and now stop assuming such nonsense when I have just taken the first step of friendship with Aiden!"

"We have already arrived." Aiden’s soft voice jolted Kylian back to reality as he realized they were already on the floor of the dormitory building.

Aiden’s room was the second room in the hallway, and Kylian had his room located as the last one, so he proceeded to head towards his room by parting ways with him. "Thank you for saving me back at the library and also showing me your secret hangout spot, Aiden. It was fun, so I will head to my room now—"

"Wait!" But before he could turn around, Aiden suddenly grabbed Kylian by his arm. To his surprise, Aiden grabbed a notebook from his bag and handed it to Kylian while uttering in a soft pitch, "These are the topics that were taught in today’s lesson, and what you missed. So, you can study from here directly, I have prepared a spare sheet."

"Huh?" Baffled at his sudden approach, Kylian was a little confused to realize these were the notes he went to prepare in the library, but why would Aiden go through the trouble to prepare a spare sheet for him?

"Thank...you?" Slowly turning his glance on the notes that Aiden handed him, Kylian couldn’t suppress his curiosity while asking me, "But...how did you know I was in dire need of them? And...you didn’t have to go through all the trouble to make for me—"

’If I choose to care for someone, I would observe their every small concern and would do my best to provide it to them. I am way different from Zenith who doesn’t bother to bat an eye on those he always leaves behind after having his fill. I know how to cherish someone...and I hope you’ll be able to realize it soon...’

Pondering the thought in his mind, Aiden held a small affectionate smile while answering him, "If you need anything else just let me know. So, have a good night." With that short cryptic response when Aiden walked inside his room and closed the door, Kylian stood behind confused while glancing at the notes, as he was awestruck by the effort Aiden had put in creating that for him.

~ "I am telling you he’s into you...otherwise, there’s no way anyone would go through this trouble...especially for a friend!" Morpheus deliberately tried to prove his point again, however, Kylian chose to keep silent and marched towards his room.

Upon closing the door, he stood still after placing the notebook on his study table and grabbed his phone out. Gazing at the text that he had sent to Zenith with the ’read’ sign, Kylian felt a pang of heartache stirred inside him when he blankly stared at his wooden ceiling.

’Are you with someone else now...is that why you won’t answer me? Is this your way of setting a boundary with me? Perhaps I would’ve been way more happier if you were the one to observe my concern, instead of Aiden.

’Zenith, am I the only fool who believed...I was special to you?’

The thoughts rose in his mind one by one, making his eyes glisten with tears once again, inside his dark room.

Outside Marita’s hospital cabin on that wooden bench, Granny Elma tore a piece of her skirt and wrapped it tight on Zenith’s bleeding palm after pulling out the broken glass stuck in his skin. A big deep scar had formed from the injury, and thanks to those gloves, there weren’t other grave wounds on his hands.

However, Zenith didn’t even wince a little from pain and stayed stoic like a sculpture when she was wrapping his palm, which made Granny lift her soft tearful gaze at him.

"I am sorry for doubting your sincerity." Her voice was filled with remorse which made Zenith gaze intently into her as he could feel the sincerity in her gesture to treat his wound.

"Just like me, Mari’s life also had been nothing but filled with humiliations, just because we were born as omegas in this unfair world. I didn’t have a family of my own, however, she had a son to raise and for his sake, Mari pushed herself so much to the point...selling her organs for the money... I can’t even imagine what Kyle would feel if he learned about this terrible truth, but...I can’t completely blame Mari either. She’s just a helpless mother...

"But thank you...Thank you, son, for standing up for us. You’re the very first Alpha who stepped up for us, and it made me realize as well, that not every Alpha is bad. You have done so much already, to the extent of bringing Mari here to save her life... I...I promise I will be forever grateful to you for everything you did."

"You must’ve heard me already, I am doing all this to express my sincerity towards the person who taught me my worth as a strong Alpha." Feeling a soothing warmth from her words, Zenith gently patted Granny Elma on her shoulder when a sad smile curved his lips.

"Being lost in a lonely dark tunnel of life, I had turned bitter against everyone, considering choosing a path where I could vent out my rage on the weaker ones of the society. I am not as nice Alpha as you think of me. But...now, I can feel that if my mother would’ve been alive today...she would’ve wanted to see me grow up by choosing this path. Not the twisted one I had created for myself.

"So, yes, I am selfish, and you can say I am doing this for the person I consider as my own...but I only wish you would keep everything that I have done away from Ms. Marley. I don’t want her to feel indebted to me and neither I will ever let her son know about this bitter truth about his mother’s condition."

Staring tenderly at Zenith’s sad eyes as his smile was hidden beneath the mask, Granny Elma nodded in answer as she spoke, "I am sure, wherever your Mother is today...she must be very proud to have given birth to a son like you. I am grateful for everything you did...and from now onwards, don’t ever feel lonely. Mari and I will be your family, as long as we live."

By then after deciding the settlement, when Barnes walked close up to them, the heartwarming moment between Zenith and that old lady made a wide smile curve his lips.

Never in his life he had imagined to see this righteous side of Zenith as a Supreme Alpha after all the explanations about his twisted nature he had heard from Mr. Clark.

But now, he rather felt immensely proud to serve a young master like Zenith and even felt grateful to Kylian for stepping into his life.

At that moment, the door of Marita’s cabin opened wide with a slam and a nurse quickly rushed outside, holding an excited small smile on her face. Upon her arrival, everyone stood up from the seat but the nurse approached Zenith first.

"Miss Marley is retrieving her senses now. She’s still dizzy and very weak, but would you like to meet her?"
