On the Moby Dick.
"Dad, according to the latest intelligence, Black Crow has returned to the New World and seems to be heading towards Cake Island," Marco said with a frown as he stood on the deck.
Above, Whitebeard was reading a newspaper. The headline featured the Black Crow's flag now flying over Fishman Island—proof that the island had become Black Crow's territory.
Whitebeard didn't respond immediately. He finished the paper, set it down, and took a sip of wine before laughing. "Gurararara, Marco, I know what you're worried about. But don't be. Black Crow and Big Mom aren't targeting us—can't target us. Still, we should prepare. The New World is about to become very turbulent."
"Could it be..."
Marco's eyes flashed with understanding.
Since Charlotte Linlin's group wasn't targeting the Whitebeard Pirates, and considering her complicated relationship with Kaido, Kaido wasn't the target either. That left only two others...
Realizing the situation, Marco couldn't help but mutter, "The sea won't be quiet anytime soon."
...
At the entrance to the New World.
Two pirate ships were currently locked in battle—newcomers, both recently entering the New World.
Perhaps they met by chance and sought to plunder each other.
However, while they fought, two massive ships slowly approached in the distance.
Seeing these ships, the warring pirates froze and ceased fighting.
Standing at the bow of the lead ship, Hei Yan crossed his arms and gazed at the two pirate crews with icy calm. "Get out of the way."
"Gulp..."
"T-That's..."
One of the pirate captains looked up at the flag hoisted on the Black Glory. His face drained of color as cold sweat poured down his forehead.
"It's—it's the Black Crow Pirates!"
"Damn it, why are they here?! Move! Full speed! Make way for Lord Black Crow!"
Both ships hastily ceased hostilities and scrambled to clear a path.
The Black Glory and the Kongo sailed between them, unhurried and unbothered.
On the deck, Mio calmly read a newspaper. After a while, he lowered it, glanced at Hei Yan at the bow, and ordered, "Hei Yan, go to the Kongo. Take them back to Crow Island. They'll stay there with Hei Er for now."
"Yes."
Without hesitation, Hei Yan stepped off the Black Glory and landed on the Kongo.
Soon, the Kongo changed course and headed in a different direction.
The Black Glory pressed on toward Cake Island.
Not long after, an island appeared on the horizon—an uninhabited island.
Standing at the bow, Mio narrowed his eyes and grinned. "Head to that island. We'll stop there for a bit."
He hadn't yet summoned the cultivated character from Noah's creation. There hadn't been a suitable location before. Summoning something with the weight of a battleship aboard the ship was too risky.
Summoning on solid ground was the safest bet.
"Yes," Bai Feng replied.
Pulled by Hanba, the Black Glory swiftly approached the island.
Mio stepped off the ship and landed on the island alone. Just in case, he activated Observation Haki and scanned the area.
Confirming it was safe, he exhaled lightly and summoned the cultivated being.
A figure immediately appeared before him.
RUMBLE!
The island quaked violently as spiderweb cracks radiated from the being's feet, and the earth collapsed downward by nearly a meter.
Mio twitched at the corner of his mouth. "Good thing I didn't summon you on the ship..."
Then, he turned his eyes to the figure.
A female.
That much was clear from the long, waist-length hair. It made sense—she carried the genes of a ship girl.
She stood tall, completely nude, her body exquisitely built. She seemed startled by the impact she had caused, and flustered, looked to Mio with teary blue eyes.
"Sir, I—I didn't mean to..." she whispered timidly.
She likely hadn't expected to nearly collapse an island on arrival. Cracks surrounded her, and from some of them, you could already glimpse the sea beneath.
Mio chuckled, took off his coat and tossed it to her. "Put this on. And don't call me 'master'—call me 'sir' from now on."
He then added with a glint in his eye, "From now on, your name is Noah."
"Noah? Yes, sir!" she nodded quickly, seemingly delighted with the name, and hurried to dress.
"Now then, Noah," Mio said, gesturing at the cracked ground, "can you control this... damage?"
"Yes, but I'll need to practice," she replied, carefully climbing out of the pit—but misjudged a step and fell into another one nearby.
Eventually crawling out again, Noah sat cautiously on the ground and began to train her restraint.
Mio wasn't in a rush. He waited patiently—after all, if she didn't learn control, she'd end up leveling every island she set foot on.
"There's still the matter of ability extraction..."
Mio leapt onto a large rock and sat cross-legged, contemplating.
After some thought, he gritted his teeth.
"System, extract an ability for me."
There was no way he'd waste this opportunity—he'd get one-tenth of Noah's physical attributes. That alone could greatly enhance his own defense.
Even if he ended up with something like "girling," he simply wouldn't use it.
Ideally, he'd get "strong body" or "shock force." Even other abilities were acceptable—anything but "girling" or "battleship."
Just don't let it be "girling," Mio thought to himself as the ability extraction process began...
