New World with Four Husbands-Chapter 118: Momma and baby pig
Chapter 118: Momma and baby pig
It took an hour before Coco saw a flying pig approaching the waterfall from the right— a part of the forest and mountain that she still has not explored.
"Woah.. This was the exact time the last flying pig came here as well, right?" Lala whispered to Coco’s ear, her big red eyes staring at the flying monster that was evidently distracted by the waterfall, mesmerized.
"I think so." Coco murmured, crouching to get a better look at the flying pig.
The flying pig this time looked smaller than her usual catch, making her believe that the pig in front of her is a youngling.
"Looks like I can’t catch this one—" She cut herself off when another flying pig came out to the clearing, a much bigger one than the first flying pig.
"I’ll catch the momma one." Coco muttered under her breath, an excited grin on her face.
She bought her unbreakable hoe out from the inventory and quietly jumped to another tree, her feet planting solidly against the sturdy tree branch.
She looked over to the flying pigs to see if they noticed her, but when they looked like they were still distracted, Coco took that chance to jump to another one.
She continued jumping, being careful with every leap and being quiet to the best of her ability until she got close to the monsters— letting them be oblivious to her presence as she readied herself to launch herself in the air.
She was carefully balanced on a tree branch, her eyes on the flying pig in the distance, her body tensed as she got ready for launch, her limbs ready to propel her forward.
Coco’s feet left the branch as she made a powerful leap, the unbreakable hoe in her hand reeled back, her grip was firm, her muscles straining as she propelled herself towards the flying pig— her body cutting through the air with impressive speed.
Coco’s grip on the unbreakable hoe tightened, her arms coiled tightly as she readied the weapon for the attack and when the flying pig heard a rustle from somewhere, it was already too late.
The flying pig didn’t stand a chance against Coco’s powerful weapon, the unbreakable hoe swung through the air with a satisfying whooshing sound.
The impact of the weapon’s flat head against the side of the pig’s head was a powerful one, the toll connecting with the flying pig with a resounding smack and the force sending the animal crashing to the ground with a loud thump.
The power behind the hit left the flying pig in a bruised and confused heap on the ground, its wings flailing as it struggled to pick itself back up.
Despite the flying pig’s size, the blow was powerful enough to take it down, the flying pig dropping to the ground after a good while of swaying back and forth in its position.
Seeing that she successfully took down the pig, she let out a huff and landed in a crouch, her weight evenly distributed as she hit the ground.
"Nothing beats a good ol’ home run." Coco said, giggling to herself as she stored the unbreakable hoe back to her inventory, "Thanks to the gloves, the power of the swing was stronger than usual."
"And you did it in one strike!" Lala exclaimed, a happy grin on her face.
"You bet that I did." Coco laughed as she stood up, craning her head to the side and rolling her shoulder, "This becomes my workout so I can’t go on a day without going out of the village or else, I’ll get fatter."
"But you’re not that fat— eek!" Lala got cut off when something attacked Coco.
The woman in question was also taken off guard as the baby flying pig’s sharp feathers struck her from behind, the attack sudden and unexpected.
Even the small size of the baby flying pig shouldn’t be a big deal, the creature’s sharp feathers were sharp, the pain of the attack causing her to cry out, its sharp feather-like hairs stinging her skin.
"Ack!" Coco hissed, her eyes shutting for a moment before she quickly reacted, her hand going to her back to check the wound, her face set in a deep scowl as she whirled around to face her attacker.
Coco immediately bought her unbreakable hoe out again and fought back against the new set of flying sharp feathers towards her way, defending herself against the baby flying pig.
"Coco! You’re bleeding!" Lala cried out, her voice shaking.
"I’ll be fine!" Coco assured the fairy, grunting heavily as she parried the incoming sharp talons.
The baby flying pig showed no sign of remorse about attacking Coco, its teeth forming into a snarl as it flapped its wings to stay airborne.
Coco’s hand moved quickly, the movement a blur as she parried another set of the sharp feathers, her trusty unbreakable hoe deflecting the sharp talons easily.
"Eat.. This!" With a quick twist of her wrist and a reel of an arm, Coco was already throwing the tool towards the flying pig.
The distance between her and the target was large, but Coco’s aim was flawless, the heavy tool flying through the air towards the baby flying pig with an almost graceful arc— she made sure to not throw it with too much force because she doesn’t want to kill it.
However, it should be enough to knock the baby out.
The unbreakable hoe was launched with such force that it struck the pig directly, the impact knocking the baby pig out cold.
The attack was successful, the pig falling to the water with a loud splash as the hoe bounced off the pig’s fat and landed beside the waterfalll, leaving the flying pig now unconscious floating on the pool.
"Coco! Your back!" The fairy sobbed, her tears running down her cheeks as she stared at the wounds on Coco’s back.
"I don’t feel any pain at all." Coco assured Lala, forcing out a chuckle.
"Let’s go home now."
