My Wife and I Became Sages in Another World-Chapter 172: Ichiro’s Fast Travel
Chapter 172: Ichiro’s Fast Travel
The night after I left the small town of Meisi, I decided to go back to the Sephyr Kingdom to look for Melina so that she could help me bring back life to the beastkin lands.
From Meisi, I teleported to one of the sites where we had camped during the war in the savannah, which took me closer to the semi-arid area.
I drank an MP potion and repeated the same step, teleporting myself to the top of one of the mesas of the red Kalusian desert.
After that, I teleported to another site, now closer to the Aridonia desert, then to the middle of some dunes, then to Cactustown, then closer to the border with the Droman Empire, then to the Droman Capital, then to Vivint, then above the Illusive Forest, and finally, I appeared right on top of the wall of the Sephyr Kingdom’s border.
Needless to say, I felt absolutely exhausted.
Sure, I was using MP potions to recharge my magic each time I teleported, but it still took a toll on my stamina, and the wounds on my torso weren’t making it any easier.
I used one last teleport to bring me closer to the capital and decided to fly the rest of the way since it took less of my energy. Also, I didn’t want to just teleport in front of Melina in the middle of the night.
Her room had a balcony that overlooked the south, which was where I was coming from, but I wasn’t even sure if she was going to be awake by the time I got there.
When the academy became visible in the distance, I spotted a waving dot standing on the side of the dormitory tower.
"Is that Melina?" I asked myself as I kept flying towards the tower.
Suddenly, I heard a shout that came straight from the white dot.
"Ichirooooo!" Melina shouted.
I chuckled a little bit at her indiscretion and hurried my flight until I found myself face to face with her, beautiful as ever, standing on her balcony.
After apologizing for being late, I gently floated down to the platform and was received by a tight hug from Melina, making me notice the small tear that formed under her eyes.
She complained about me breaking the voice crystal, making me chuckle awkwardly as I would have to explain that to her.
"Also, ouch..." I said, feeling her hug a bit too tight around my injury.
Seeing the bandages around my torso, Melina grabbed the bottom of my shirt and poncho and raised it to get a better look.
At that moment, I spotted two girls who were staring at us from the other side of the balcony and looked a bit embarrassed.
’They must be disgusted at seeing the wound. It’s bandaged, though! It shouldn’t look that bad...’ I thought.
Then, Melina asked me to take my shirt off so she could take a closer look, but before I could comply, she said she would introduce me to her roommates.
However, she changed the subject once again right before she got to it and asked me why I had returned so soon without my companions.
I smiled with relief at her enthusiasm, but my body was suddenly feeling extremely weak.
’Oh, I guess I still needed to rest...’ I thought before falling asleep, feeling Melina’s arms catching me before I plopped on the floor.

The next morning, I woke up and found myself lying in Melina’s bed while she shared the bottom bunk bed with the black-haired princess.
’Hmm, did they take off my shirt?’ I pondered as I looked around the room and inspected my body.
The rustling of my feet against the bed was enough to wake Melina and her roommates up.
"Ichiro! How are you feeling?" Melina asked, getting out of her bed and approaching mine with a groggy expression.
I giggled since I thought she looked pretty cute, looking all worried in the morning right after waking up, and reassured her that I felt fine.
My stamina was already pretty low since I was recuperating from my wounds, so after using and recharging my MP a bunch of times to travel to Sephyr quickly, it completely ran out.
Now that Melina was a bit more calm, she introduced me to both of her roommates, who had also just woken up and were standing in the room in their pajamas.
The elf princess, Eve, looked like she could sleep for a few more hours, as she barely had her eyes open. Still, she was quite friendly when introducing herself, even when she wasn’t fully awake yet.
Yuki, the Princess from Kyotora, was more calm and collected as she brewed tea for everyone in the room after introducing herself.
"Melina has told us so much about you!" Eve commented as she walked to their closet.
"Eve!" the silver-haired princess exclaimed with her cheeks red.
Seeing the three of them interacting made me feel a bit relieved as they looked very close to each other, and I was a little worried when I was in Kalusia since Melina always said she felt bored in her classes.
’At least she got cool roommates...’ I thought.
After the three princesses went into their closets to change clothes and came back out ready to attend their lessons, Melina asked to see my wound again as she couldn’t take a peek the night before.
"Are you sure?" I asked, remembering how Yuki and Eve reacted when they saw it at first.
"Just let me take a look..." Melina replied with confidence.
I raised my arms to allow her to unwrap my bandages slowly. Meanwhile, Yuki and Eve were watching from the side of the room, seemingly blushing from embarrassment as the elf princess covered her face, leaving a small gap between her fingers to peek.
"Sorry. I know the wound is a bit nasty..." I said to the two roommates.
"Huh?" the two princesses said in unison, confused by my statement. fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm
Before I could elaborate, Melina finished unwrapping my injury and noticed the scar that was left on the side of my torso, next to my ribs.
She gently grazed it with the tip of her fingers, inspecting it closely with a focused expression. Suddenly, we were interrupted by a knock on the door.
Yuki sighed with annoyance and walked toward the door to open it, showing a green-haired guy who walked into the room with a loud greeting.
However, when he noticed Melina treating my wounds on her bed, he stood still with a perplexed face in silence for a few seconds as he turned pale.
’This is a bit awkward...’ I thought as I sat on Melina’s bed with no shirt and with their bedroom door fully open.
