Mated To My Boyfriend's Dad-Chapter 257: Killing You Is A Favor
Chapter 257: Killing You Is A Favor
The tricky part now was finding Dew. The hotel was big and with his enhanced hearing and smell, Fergus could tell that it was packed with people tonight.
"Maybe I should’ve let myself get used to her scent." He groaned as he stepped out of the room and walked down the halls.
He perked up his ears, listening carefully for anything that would give away her location. A name, anything...
Suddenly, he heard something. A voice.
"Hehe... Got ya." Fergus licked his lips sadistically as he walked into the lobby. There, he spotted two girls having a discussion.
"Oh my gosh, I still find it hard to believe." One of the girls muttered with a giddy expression.
When Fergus turned his attention to the other girl across the large lobby, a wicked grin crept up his face. Dew.
"You’re telling me..." Dew had a blush on her face as she spoke. "It’s so confusing though. Like, how does it even work? How can a wolf be mated to a fey, it’s unheard of."
The other girl, whose scent told Fergus that she was a wolf, sniggered. "Girl, it’s not ’unheard’ of. My sister dated an elf for a while. Relationships between both races are possible."
Dew sighed. "Yeah, but this isn’t just a ’relationship’. We’re fated by the moon goddess herself. That’s... A lot to take in."
The wolf girl shrugged. "Well, I guess you should just see how it goes. From what you’ve told me so far, this guy sounds dreamy. Not to mention he’s the Gamma’s son. Gosh, Kylo is a hottie; you hit the jackpot, girl!" She nearly squealed at the end.
Fergus rolled his eyes. He’d die of boredom at this rate.
Eventually, the girls parted ways and Dew went back to work. He quickly hid his face as he peeped and watched her climb up the stairs.
Stealthily, he followed her until she made her way into a room. With his hearing, Fergus was able to tell that the room was empty. Perfect.
He looked around the hallway before using his vamp speed to waltz directly into the room. He closed the door behind him, causing Dew, who was packing up some dirty dishes, to jump with fright.
"What... What are you doing here...?" She arched an eyebrow, trailing off when Fergus stepped closer to her. The room was dark, but the moonlight shining through the window provided some illumination.
He stepped into the light, revealing a sinister grin on his face.
"Why hello there you pretty little thing." He winked as he took a few steps closer. "Forgive me for not visiting you earlier. You have no idea how hard it was for me to find you in this crowded hotel."
Dew blinked awkwardly as she eyed Fergus. "Uhh... Aren’t you a friend of Kylo’s?" She asked with a curious gaze before realization dawned on her face. "Oh, right. Cullen, isn’t it? Nice to see you again."
What in the unholy hell?
Fergus’s eyes snapped into a frown as he peered keenly at Dew. She seemed sincere. She wasn’t even afraid and concluded that he was just a friend. She didn’t even bother weighing the odds of a ’wolf’ coming to her workplace and stalking her. freēnovelkiss.com
Damn, this girl was naive! Far more naive than even Isleen. The similarities with Isleen were almost uncanny that he felt like using her as a substitute and fucking her now.
But he knew better. Time was running out and he needed to wrap up his mission soon.
"Calling me a ’friend’ of his is a stretch." Fergus chuckled coldly as he stepped closer, circling her with malicious intent. "However, don’t worry. What I offer you tonight will be far better than anything that mate of yours can offer."
Dew frowned, but yet she didn’t seem scared. "H– how did you know we’re mates? What offer are you talking about?" She queried hesitantly.
"One question at a time, cupcake," Fergus smirked as his eyes landed on her chest. Her breathing had begun increasing and it seemed she was finally reacting appropriately to his presence.
He was beginning to feel like he had to show her a glimpse of his true form to get her frightened.
Suddenly, without warning, he zoomed toward her with his vamp speed. He grabbed her neck, wrapping his fingers around it and relishing in the look on her face as he squeezed the life out of her.
"I’m sorry, but it has to be this way." Fergus feigned sympathy as he watched her squirm and gasp for breath. "But look at the bright side... At least now you wouldn’t be around for the eventual chaos that’ll ensue when the Dark Lord makes his final attack."
The dark Lord had something in store for the other races. Something big. But first, Fergus had to complete his mission and get the target eliminated.
Just then, Dew slowly brought out her hands and wrapped both her palms around his wrist. He tilted his head, his eyes arching with curiosity.
"V– vines..." She seemed to be struggling to cast a spell. Too bad she couldn’t–
Suddenly, Fergus felt something coiling up his legs. He looked down in surprise, his eyes meeting some vines tying around his legs like snakes.
The vines were strong and fast and had begun reaching his waist in a few seconds. Fergus released Dew from his grip as he struggled to get out of the vines.
Dew stumbled back, gasping desperately to catch her breath. That scheming little bitch!
Fergus turned his gaze to her, watching as she stretched out both her palms and pointed them at the vines. Her palms were engulfed in a soft white light but when the light increased in brightness, simultaneously, it felt like the vines were becoming tighter.
"Very clever, indeed." Fergus commended the girl with an impressed nod.
However, these vines were weak compared to his strength. With little effort, he dragged his legs out of the vines. They tried slithering toward him to tie him up again, but he grabbed them before looking at Dew.
Yes! Now she looked terrified.
"Thank you for making my job much easier." He winked before blitzing toward her.
He got behind her before she could react and tied the vines around her neck. She struggled again, but he wasn’t going easy on her this time.
Her pinkish-white face became redder as she suffocated slowly.
Eventually, her body became limp and Fergus couldn’t hear her heartbeat anymore. She was dead.
At the same moment, the vines which had been created with her magic dissipated into nothingness. Now no one would be able to trace the killing to him.
He considered feeding on her but decided
not to. He’ll have a little snack tomorrow to compensate for his hard work tonight...
