Marvel : I'm in Westview Town-Chapter 108
Chapter 108 - 108
"Finn, are you worried that the Apostle of the Nightmare will come knocking at your door?"
Seeing the look in his eyes, Dark Wanda frowned slightly.
"Wait... have you encountered them before?"
Finn's expression shifted slightly, surprise flickering across his face as he looked at her.
"Yes, but I took care of them all."
Dark Wanda nodded before adding, "Don't worry, even the Beholder couldn't lay a scratch on you before, let alone those Apostles."
"I'm not worried about whether they pose a threat to us," Finn said, his expression serious. "I'm worried about the people in this town."
Wanda's face darkened. She understood his concerns. The Apostles were no match for them—both were powerful sorcerers in their own right. However, the incident from two weeks ago was still fresh in her mind—people vanishing without a trace. It was too suspicious.
"This isn't something we can rush," Finn said after a moment of contemplation. "Let's go back and find Josh first. Maybe he has some useful information."
He didn't want to delay too long. The longer they stalled, the closer the danger crept.
"Then let's go."
The two witches nodded in agreement.
—
After settling their tab, the three of them returned to the apartment building. They made their way up the stairs to the third floor, stopping in front of Josh's door.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
Finn rapped on the door. No response.
Frowning, he knocked again, harder this time. Still, silence.
"That's odd... where would he be at this hour?" Finn muttered, brows furrowing.
"Could it be that strange presence we felt earlier?" Dark Wanda asked, eyes narrowing.
"There's a good chance," Wanda agreed.
Just then—
Creak.
A door behind them opened.
Turning around, the trio found themselves facing a white-haired old man standing in the doorway, looking at them with mild curiosity.
Finn recognized him immediately—it was Fred, one of the long-time tenants in the building.
"Fred, have you seen Josh?" Finn asked without wasting time.
"He left not too long ago," Fred replied, eyeing them curiously. "What do you need him for?"
"We had some business with him. Any idea where he went?"
"No clue," Fred admitted with a shrug. "Never paid much attention to him. The guy smokes that garbage all day—he's lucky he hasn't keeled over from it."
"How was his mental state when he left?" Wanda asked, her sharp gaze fixed on the old man.
"The same as always. Didn't seem different." Fred waved a dismissive hand.
"Finn, you're overthinking this," Dark Wanda said, arms crossed. "If the Nightmare is really targeting you, it'll show itself in Westview. Honestly, I feel safer knowing Josh isn't here."
"...You have a point," Finn admitted after some thought. "It's not a good idea to search blindly."
He let out a breath and made his decision. "Let's put this aside for now and head home."
They couldn't chase shadows forever. If the Nightmare did come to Westview, he would be ready for it.
—
Back at their apartment, the three of them returned to their usual routines.
Wanda wasted no time delving back into the Darkhold, flipping through its forbidden pages with determined focus. Her thirst for power was unwavering—she knew she needed it.

Meanwhile, Dark Wanda lounged on the couch, watching a movie lazily. After all the chaos and battles, this was the kind of peace she enjoyed most.
"The best time is when the two of you aren't arguing," Finn mused, casting a glance at the two strikingly identical women.
They were like porcelain dolls—eerily beautiful, yet utterly different in temperament. Seeing them in harmony, for once, was almost refreshing.
"...What are you looking at?"
The two witches spoke in unison, snapping their heads toward him.
Then, as if realizing what had just happened, they turned to each other.
"He was obviously looking at me," Wanda said with a haughty lift of her chin. "Why are you reacting?"
"Excuse me?" Dark Wanda scoffed. "We may have the same face, but I look far better than you."
"Where the hell did you get that confidence, Cinderella?"
"You did NOT just call me Cinderella!" Wanda fumed. "That's it! You're dead!"
With a sudden burst of energy, she lunged at her dark counterpart.
"Oh, I've been waiting for this."
Dark Wanda met her head-on.
The apartment trembled with their struggle.
For a long time, the room was filled with sounds of magic crackling and furniture shifting. When they finally separated, both had torn clothing, hair in disarray, and matching scowls on their faces.
Finn pinched the bridge of his nose. "Wanda, get back to your book. And you—" he pointed at Dark Wanda, "go watch your damn movie. No more fighting."
The two witches glared at each other but reluctantly obeyed.
Before heading toward his study, Finn paused. "I'm going to work on something. Don't bother me unless it's important."
"For once, we agree." They spoke at the same time—again.
The air grew tense as they stared each other down.
Finn didn't wait around to see the next round begin. He sighed in relief as he entered his study, shutting the door behind him.
—
Inside, he didn't lock it—he didn't want to raise suspicion—but with a wave of his hand, a magical barrier sealed the room.
No one was getting in easily.
His ability to create magic had to remain a secret. If anyone discovered it, all his efforts up to this point would be meaningless.
He moved to the window, looking out thoughtfully.
"I need to create something useful."
Time was running out. The mysterious presence that would arrive in a few months still lingered in his mind.
Even if there were hidden rewards waiting, he had to be prepared. What if they weren't enough? What if the power he needed wasn't given to him?
He couldn't afford to take that risk.
"So... what should I create?"
Thinking about it, Finn felt a headache. He was too weak to be effective against the mysterious figure, yet too powerful to risk losing control.
Suddenly, a flash of inspiration struck him.
"I can create Dragon Balls!"
This was something straight out of an anime from his previous life.
If he could gather seven Dragon Balls, he could summon Shenron and make a wish. The ability was somewhat like the Infinity Stones—granting the user's desires.
Of course, with his current power, he could only create a weaker version of the Dragon Balls. Creating the original ones was out of the question for now. Even making a low-end version would take a considerable amount of time and effort.
"No point in waiting. Let's give it a try."
Without hesitation, Finn flicked his hands. Two distinct energies surged wildly as he channeled his magic into the ground. Small, faintly glowing spheres began to take shape, though they were far from complete.
"If I keep at it, eventually, I'll be able to produce a functioning set."
Excitement built in Finn's chest. The thought of making a wish to Shenron was thrilling.
For hours, he worked tirelessly, sweat dripping from his forehead, soaking into the ground beneath him. His concentration was unbroken, though he grew increasingly restless as progress remained slow.
"Even a low-end version is more difficult to create than I imagined."
He took a deep breath, looking at the still-forming Dragon Ball. Disappointment flickered in his eyes, but he steeled himself.
"No stopping now."
Just as he was about to cast another spell—
Boom! A knock on the door.
"Finn, I've already prepared dinner. Come eat before it gets cold!"
Wanda's voice filtered through the door, snapping Finn out of his trance. He glanced at the clock and realized it was already evening.
"Time really flies."
Sighing, he quickly hid his work, brushing off the fatigue that clung to his body. "Coming!"
As he stepped out of his study, Finn stretched his arms, working out the stiffness in his muscles. His gaze swept the room, and he noticed another presence—Blackened Wanda was there too.
At the dining table, Wanda had already laid out four or five dishes, the aroma filling the air. The presentation was excellent, and the warmth of the meal stirred his appetite.
"Finn, wash your hands first and then come eat," Wanda instructed, her voice carrying a hint of warmth.
Then, she turned her gaze to Blackened Wanda. "You just stand there watching? You can help if you want."
"Tch. Fine, fine, no need to shout," Blackened Wanda muttered, rolling her eyes as she made her way toward the kitchen.
After washing up, Finn returned to the table. Wanda had already portioned out his meal, even adding a few extra pieces of meat to his plate.
Blackened Wanda immediately frowned. "And what about mine?"
"Are you a child?" Wanda pushed the bowl toward her with a smirk. "Serve yourself."
"Wow. So petty."
With a huff, Blackened Wanda grabbed her bowl and headed back to the kitchen to get more food.
Finn let out a breath of relief. "At least it's just a minor squabble. If they really started fighting, dinner would be anything but peaceful."
He took a bite and smiled. "Your cooking keeps getting better, Wanda. It's way better than the century egg porridge I tried making last time."
Wanda blushed slightly, pride flickering in her eyes. "If you like it, I'll cook for you every day."
Blackened Wanda scoffed as she sat back down, placing her own meal in front of her. "Who says you're the only one who can cook? Finn, next time, try my cooking. I'm way better than her."
Wanda rolled her eyes. "You? Cook? Please. When I was learning, you weren't even around."
"That's rich coming from you," Blackened Wanda shot back, smirking. "You think just because we look the same, I can't cook as well as you?"
"I don't care what you say, Finn. You think my cooking is better, right?" Wanda turned to Finn, waiting for confirmation.
Finn, caught between them, nodded. "Yeah, I think so."
Blackened Wanda smirked. "What, is that what she told you when she was feeding you too?"
Finn choked on his food. "Can you not?!"
Wanda's face turned crimson. "I swear, I'm never forgiving you for that!"
The argument quickly escalated into a playful wrestling match between the two, while Finn shook his head in exasperation. "I should've just kept quiet. Silence is golden... but too late for that now."
Evening fell.
The golden hues of sunset painted the town, casting long shadows as the last remnants of daylight faded. The air cooled, carrying the sounds of cicadas and the rustling of trees.
Inside the house, Blackened Wanda lounged on the sofa, watching a movie. She had changed into more comfortable clothes after her earlier scuffle with Wanda.
Wanda, however, was still a little disheveled, her forehead damp with sweat.
Finn approached, pausing briefly. Despite the sweat, there was still a faint, pleasant scent in the air.
Wanda noticed his stare. "What are you looking at?"
"Nothing. You should take a shower."
Finn smiled, reaching out to pat her head.
Wanda hesitated for a moment, then glanced toward Blackened Wanda, who was still watching TV. She bit her lip slightly before tugging Finn's hand. Leading him to the door of her room, she looked around to make sure they were alone.
She leaned in and whispered, "Finn... I want to shower with you, but..."
Her gaze flickered back toward Blackened Wanda, who remained on the sofa, seemingly disinterested.
Finn raised an eyebrow. "What exactly are you suggesting?"
Wanda's cheeks darkened. "Did you forget? Back in New York... I promised you."
Her voice was soft, her breath warm against his ear. Her crimson face and nervous anticipation made her look like a ripe apple, tempting and irresistible.
Finn's smirk widened. "You really mean that?"
Wanda pouted. "Forget it if you don't want to."
"I didn't say that."
Just as he was about to pull her closer—
A sultry voice interrupted them. "You two sneaking off to do something fun? Planning to leave me out?"
They both turned to see Blackened Wanda standing nearby, a teasing smile playing on her lips. Her piercing gaze held amusement and something else—a challenge.
Her presence was intoxicating, like a siren in the dark. The dim light of the evening caught her silhouette, making her seem almost ethereal.
Finn exhaled sharply. "This night just got a whole lot more interesting."
