SOHEE flinched while listening to the echoes of the sound of Kim Heedo’s punches hitting Park Mansu.

To be honest, he was starting to get uncomfortable.

Park Mansu was already unconscious, and yet Kim Heedo was straddling the deadbeat’s hips while beating him up nonstop.

It’s not that I care about my father— but I don’t want my husband to be a murderer.

Park Mansu wasn’t worth it.

"What are you doing?" Sohee complained to the bodyguards. "Stop Kim Heedo and get Park Mansu out of my sight."

At first, the bodyguards hesitated.

But when Kang Sul— who was finally up after getting sent flying earlier— moved, the others followed suit.

Kang Sul and at least four bodyguards tried to separate Kim Heedo from Park Mansu.

However, it was to no avail.

Kim Heedo was physically stronger than any of those bodyguards.

Sohee should have expected that.

Even Heedo’s pheromones smell strange.

He felt bad while watching Kim Heedo push the bodyguards who put their hands on him.

It looked like a light tap, but each bodyguard was sent flying.

His husband also had his eyes shut tight as if he was in pain.

Sohee felt his heart drop to the floor as well when his husband collapsed.

Chairman Kim Hyungsik scoffed at what Shaman Crystal said.

He let the female shaman join his table, thinking that she would say something that made sense.

But it looked like he just wasted his time.

"I may not be directly involved, but I’m aware that the Hongs and my family are currently at odds with each other," Kim Hyungsik said. "You’re working for the Daesung Group. Why would I listen to you?"

"Chairman Kim, I’m sorry to say this, but Park Sohee’s luck has run out," Shaman Crystal said confidently. "If you let that person stay in your family tree, then I’m afraid he’ll only bring nothing but misfortune."

"I’ve heard enough of your nonsense," Kim Hyungsik said while waving his hand dismissively. "Get out of my sight."

His secretary nodded at the bodyguards then.

Just like that, two bodyguards in civilian clothes got up from their seats and grabbed Shaman Crystal by her arms— pulling up the female shaman roughly.

However, Shaman Crystal didn’t stop yelling even while being dragged out.

"Chairman Kim, mark my words!"

Once again, Kim Hyungsik just scoffed before he picked up his chopsticks again.

"Park Sohee’s luck is no more!" Shaman Crystal yelled at the top of her lungs. "Lee Junsu, the boy you tried to kill in the past, is the right person for Young Master Kim Heedo!"

Kim Hyungsik froze when he heard the familiar name.

Lee Junsu?

My oldest grandson’s ex-lover?

’PHEROMONES Overload.’

That was the reason why Kim Heedo fell unconscious.

Sohee watched Kim Heedo, who was asleep on the bed, with a worried look on his face.

He recalled what Dr. Seong Kyungmin said after checking on his husband.

"Sohee-ssi, Patient Kim Heedo-ssi’s pheromones level hit an all-time high. It’s not normal, even by Dominant Alphas’ standards. Hence, I have reasons to believe that Kim Heedo-ssi finally completed his evolution as a Hyper-Dominant Alpha."

Fortunately, Dr. Seong Kyungmin assured him that other than that, Kim Heedo was fine.

We’re lucky that we’re still at the hospital when all of this happened.

Sohee asked a few of the bodyguards assigned to him to bring Kim Heedo back to the hospital earlier, then he asked Kang Sul to take care of Park Mansu. Not take care as in to treat the bastard like a royal, but just enough so that Kim Heedo wouldn’t be a murderer.

After that, he called his mother-in-law and father-in-law and let them know what happened.

And, now, he was waiting for his in-laws to arrive.

Sohee looked at Kim Heedo’s bandaged hand, holding it carefully in his.

You got hurt because of me.

He was grateful, but he also felt a bit guilty.

After all, even though Kim Heedo got a deep wound, he couldn’t help but feel happy.

I’m not happy that you got hurt— I’m happy because you made me feel loved, Heedo-ya.

Sohee’s sappy thoughts were interrupted when the door opened.

Of course, the bodyguards stationed at the door would only let their family enter the VIP Room.

As I instructed them earlier.

"Mother-in-law, Father-in-law," Sohee stood up and greeted his in-laws politely. "You’re here."

President Kang Nari, his mother-in-law, immediately approached him with a worried look on her face. "Are you alright, dear?"

"I’m fine, Mother-in-law," Sohee assured her, and then he pointed at Kim Heedo with both hands. "Kim Heedo had a pheromones overload..."

Sohee trailed off when his gaze met Kim Heedo’s eyes.

He gasped after belatedly realizing that his husband was already awake.

"Heedo-ya!"

Sohee immediately walked towards Kim Heedo, only to stop abruptly after his husband opened his mouth.

His crude mouth, to be precise.

"Who the hell are you to call my name affectionately?"
