Kill the Sun-Chapter 986 Death
Daniel and the other Nightmen were rapidly hacking away at the burly General.
Since its powerful defenses were broken by the antimatter laser, it was no longer invincible.
Half of the Nightmen kept its front busy while the other half kept attacking its back.
Its body was rapidly regenerating, but they kept injuring it as well.
Regenerating such an incredibly powerful body had to cost a lot of Pure Energy.
As long as they kept at it, it would run out of Pure Energy at some point.
The burly General didn't have any opportunity to counterattack since it had to defend its back.
Without the thin General, it was weakened significantly since its weakness was now exposed.
Speed.
Its weakness was speed.
CRACK!
Daniel cut some kind of organ out of the General's back.
'That looks important,' he thought. 'Let's see if I can find more important organs!'
BOOOOOOOOM!
At that point, a humongous explosion happened again.
For just an instant, everyone glanced at the moon.
The moon was completely hidden by something that looked like a second sun.
The size of the explosion was bigger than Earth!
Naturally, the moon was much smaller than Earth, which meant it was completely enveloped by the explosion.
Just a tenth of the antimatter the antimatter laser contained had injured the burly General this heavily.
So, how much damage could 90% of the storage do to the moon?
The results were evident.
The moon was gone.
There was nothing but hot gasses left that shot into all directions.
The Communicator, the Chief Illusionists, the Strategists, the Representatives, the fleshy caves…
Everything was gone.
'He did it!' Daniel thought with exhilaration.
'He destroyed their base!'
'No worries! I won't forget what you did for us!'
Without Nick, nothing of this would have been possible.
If they had just destroyed the Sun, they would have lost their battle against the Generals.
Even worse, the antimatter laser would have been readied by the aliens, and all of Earth would have been destroyed.
Of course, Earth had already turned into an inhospitable rock floating in space, but it was still in one piece.
With a couple of centuries of engineering, they could return the planet to its spherical shape and recreate its atmosphere.
Earth was still there, albeit severely damaged.
Naturally, without the moon, a lot of things would change on Earth, but that was the least of their problems.
They had a 1, 000-kilometer-deep crevice on Earth. That was a bigger issue.
When the moon exploded, the thin General stopped advancing.
It had been only 50,000 kilometers away from the moon when everything exploded.
If it had happened just a tiny bit later, it would have been able to prevent this from happening.
The Amorphous Race's presence in this solar system was gone.
The General could only hope that the Mother would send reinforcements.
But that wouldn't happen.
Nick made sure of that.
Nick had changed the Communicator, and when the Strategist sent the message, the message had gone to a random spot in deep space.
As far as the Mother knew, everything was working fine here. After all, she had talked to the Representatives just a couple of days ago.
The earliest the Mother would learn about the destroyed planet would be in around 500 years when the next delivery of Zephyx didn't arrive.
That was, assuming the Generals died.
99% of the Amorphous Race had been eradicated from the solar system.
The only ones who remained were the two Generals.
When the thin General saw the moon exploding, it immediately turned around to charge back to the burly General.
The greatest priority was to kill all the humans.
The Zephyx generators were already ruined.
Now, they had to make sure that humanity wouldn't recover to wage another war against their Tribe.
The thin General remembered the last war, which had happened around 60,000 years ago.
The humans had been incredibly fragile and pitiful, but their weapons were unreasonably powerful.
The humans back then had already been an immense threat.
But now, they had access to technology and had warriors that could fight Tenth Realm warriors evenly.
Humanity was still relatively weak right now, but if they got a couple of centuries to rebuild their weapons…
At that point, the Mother would be the only being inside their Tribe that could do anything against them.
But if the Mother left, the remainder of the Tribe would be open to attack.
They couldn't allow this to happen!
If they couldn't stop the humans today, the entire Tribe might get eradicated!
Even after 60,000 years, they still hadn't fully recovered from the last war!
It had been that devastating!
The thin General charged back to the battle.
Meanwhile, a Nightman cut another important organ out of the General.
As soon as that organ was cut out, the General's body stopped regrowing.
When the Nightmen saw that, they attacked with even more fervor.
The burly General launched an attack back, but it didn't have a lot of power behind it.
The Nightman, who got hit, received a heavy injury, but he was still alive.
The Nightmen kept attacking, and the General's injuries became greater.
It couldn't survive for much longer.
"A little more!" Daniel transmitted.
All of them threw defense to the wind and attacked with everything they had.
CRACK!
At that moment, one of the Nightmen turned into bloody chunks.
The thin General was back!
Yet, the Nightmen kept attacking the burly General.
They had to get rid of one of the two!
Daniel arrived behind the burly General, his sword glowing with power.
CRACK!
Another Nightman died.
Daniel's sword stabbed into the General's back, hitting a huge organ.
Then, he detonated all his power.
BOOOOOOM!
The insides of the General turned into powder under the immense power.
At that moment, everyone could feel a burst of Pure Energy leaving the burly General's body.
It was dead!
They killed it!
Meanwhile, Daniel just smiled bitterly.
He couldn't move.
He had unleashed all of his energy just now.
That was a suicide attack.
If the thin General attacked him now, he wouldn't be able to defend himself.
'Would you look at that,' Daniel thought with a chuckle. 'I wanted to grow stronger. I wanted to live forever. I wanted to have everything.'
'Ideals? Ideology? Who gives a shit?'
'People who sacrifice themselves are just idiots. They are weak, and others will profit from their selflessness.'
'And now, look at me.'
'Didn't I do just that?'
Daniel chuckled.
Then, he saw the thin General appearing in front of him.
'I blame you, Nick.'
'You infected me with your stupid idealism and selflessness.'
'I'm going to beat the shit out of you in the afterlife.'
The thin General attacked.
