I transmigrated and got a husband and a son!-Chapter 1181: I see he is not just a pretty face
Chapter 1181: I see he is not just a pretty face
"Tomorrow."
Silence slowly filled in the seconds that no one spoke. Their eyes shone sharply, revealing they were already prepared for this. It was about time to end this once and for all.
Hera cleared her throat. "As you already know, Charlotte coincidentally ended up in Dominic’s hands. But that foolish girl doesn’t know just how big of a problem she is going to cause. I want to use her. As of this moment, Tracy and Victor are on their way to pick her up."
"Knowing our enemy, Florence Oxley would soon find out about her missing princess. She can’t find out she’s in Dominic and before you say I’m saving my husband’s ass, swallow it back. I’m simply taking the credit."
No one spoke, but they would never think she was simply saving Dominic from the headache. They understood the intention of her actions. Making it look like Hera abducted Charlotte would shake the mountain named Florence Oxley. Once a person is rattled, they tend to make mistakes.
It was a long shot, but in this battle, they were the underdogs.
"Wait." Primo raised a hand. "You said this madam will soon find out about her missing daughter. If we make our move tomorrow, we might be too late."
"But I can’t send you all out when you haven’t had a wink of sleep." Hera shrugged. "I can still take credit without being there. So, you guys will get some rest."
"Good. I’m sleepy!" Joker clapped.
"No, not you. You already slept enough."
"What?" Joker gasped. "Are you saying my sleep whenever I’m waiting for you is enough?"
"It is enough for you."
His face crumpled as he looked at everyone in dismay. "I might not work in the field, but hell, I’m the most useful in here. My health is just as important."
"I need you to do something for me first." She then veered her eyes to Wolf and Ram. "You two as well. I need to discuss some matters with you after this."
"No problem." Ram nodded while Wolf nonchalantly shrugged.
"The rest of you, get some beauty sleep," she ordered. "Think of it that this could be your last time sleeping freely because, by tomorrow, it’s either you are going to sleep forever or enjoy another night. Get out."
"The boss has spoken!" Moose slapped his hand against the armrest, pushing himself up. "I’m going to sleep. Please don’t bother me. I want to have some bubble baths."
Primo also stood from his spot. "I’m going too. I don’t think I can’t take it anymore."
"Please don’t say that right after I said I’m going to enjoy a bubble bath night." Moose glared at him. "It sounds like you want to go with me."
"Can you please stop harassing me?" Primo gasped in disbelief. "I might be your type, but I’m not interested in you."
Moose and Primo walked with great distance between them, glaring at each other. Following behind was Fig, mumbling of what a last meal should he have since they all might die tomorrow.
"I wonder how come those two hadn’t married yet." Wolf shook his head, darting his eyes between Primo and Moose. "They look more like a married couple to me."
"That’s what my dad used to tell you two," Hera humored as she looked at Wolf and then at Ram. "Back then, coming out of the closet was hard. I’ll give you blessings now."
"Funny," Ram remarked, but his tone didn’t share the slightest bit of amusement.
"See? It’s why I can’t tell him I’ve been in love with him." Wolf sighed heavily. "It’ll ruin our friendship."
Hera chuckled while Ram’s expression turned grim.
"Hera!" Just then, Joker approached her and spoke quietly. "Look at that."
Hera furrowed her brows and followed where Joker was pointing. Her eyes landed on Tiger, who was rushing his way out without a word.
"Uh." she rocked her head. "Don’t worry about him. He won’t find out about it."
"Are you sure?"
"Do you think they would tell him?"
"Tell him what??" Ram tilted his head. "Is something going on that we should be made aware of?"
Wolf and Ram’s eyes brimmed with curiosity while Hera and Joker looked at each other. When they faced the two gentlemen, they smiled innocently.
"Dominic beat Moose to it," she revealed innocently. "We ended up cashing out Tiger’s money. He’s poor as dirt now, just like me!"
"..."
"You better tell Dominic to send your money back," Ram advised sternly.
"Even if he sends it now, we don’t have time to buy more weapons," Wolf argued.
"My husband told me he used up half of my money." Hera slowly sat down while the three men didn’t seem pleased with this announcement. Yet she could only grin with pride. "He’s been buying me weapons little by little. No one notices it because he’s also been throwing it away like they were candies. I wouldn’t send Victor and Tracy if they would only pick up Charlotte and another assassin."
The corner of her lips curled up. "By tomorrow, we’re locked and loaded."
"What?" Joker gasped in disbelief. "Is this why he didn’t want to send back the money? I thought it was only for show for others to believe we are enemies?"
"My husband knows my needs and knows why I needed that money back." She shrugged. "Not having enough funds is also a good cover for our enemies to lower their guards."
"Is that your idea?" Ram asked out of pure curiosity. Upon seeing the smirk on her face, he knew it was Dominic’s. "I see he is not just a pretty face. Impressive."
"I won’t fall for him if he doesn’t know how to dominate me."
******
"Hey, Moose!"
Moose and Primo stopped in their tracks and looked back at Tiger. Deep lines appeared between their brows, watching Tiger stop three steps from them.
"I heard you bought Basti a gift," said Tiger. "Buy me two."
"Huh?"
"I said, buy me two of those phones. I don’t care how much it’ll cost. I have the money."
Uh... no you don’t.
Primo bit his tongue as he snuck a look at Moose. The latter also stared at Tiger blankly, as if stopping himself from saying how useless Tiger was to him now.
"I can’t," Moose blurted out. "There’s only two of those in the world."
"I checked the market. There are some available, but I can’t buy one. You, on the other hand, have connections."
"I can’t do that."
"Why?"
"Because..." Moose hummed, thinking how to tell Tiger he didn’t have money without telling him he didn’t have money. "I beat up the creator of those phones and he banned me from buying any of his products."
"You son of a limping dick." Tiger hissed. "You’re useless!"
"..."
Moose and Primo watched Tiger storm away, probably to find other ways to buy what he wanted.
"Did he just call you..." Primo trailed off, looking at Moose in disbelief. The corner of his mouth stretched, laughing while tapping Moose’s shoulders. "It’s okay. I think everyone already knows you have a limping dick, but hey, don’t feel bad. Embrace your imperfections and if someone makes fun of you, go tell Hera and she’ll deal with them."
With that being said, Primo laughed evilly as he walked away. Moose, on the other hand, stood frozen. Not only Tiger called him a limping dick, he even called him useless.
"When he gets injured, he better not mistake asking for my help. I’m going to operate on him without anesthesia." frёeweɓηovel.coɱ
