Chapter 130: Distraction

Yu Yan was silent for a moment, and when Jiang Hao was about to turn around to go and break a tree branch for the same, she brought out one peak stage 3 spear.

She had only three spears, with two being in the early stage of grade 4. She was sure she could break through easily inside this inheritance site, so she brought them.

The one she brought out for Jiang Hao was the current spear she used.

Jiang Hao stopped when he saw that and took the spear when she handed it to him.

The spear wasn’t heavy but definitely was quite sturdy. He looked at the hawk which was still circling around them.

The distance was very high, and even if he launched the spear with his full strength, it might have enough chance to dodge it. That was also the reason why this beast didn’t move away upon seeing the spear in the hands of Jiang Hao.

But Jiang Hao wasn’t totally depending on the spear. In fact, he just wanted to use the spear as a distraction.

He held the spear in his left hand and took the stance of throwing it. The hawk became alert but still didn’t move. It was sure that it could easily avoid it. Even though it was quite a big target, its speed was still very fast.

The group of disciples from both sects were standing at the exit gate with some other cultivators, looking towards Jiang Hao. There wasn’t any road like the entrance, so they didn’t come out.

Even they were quite confident that it was impossible for Jiang Hao to hit the hawk. That was one of the reasons they had let it go to keep an eye on him in the first place.

While in the stance, Jiang Hao conjured a nihility sphere inside his right hand, which was closed right now. Nihility sphere didn’t have weight, but in his hands, it worked like a rock.

Jiang took a small breath and literally put every ounce of his strength. Feeling the sheer amount of blood qi from him was shocking for everyone. They were thoroughly stunned.

No doubt the blood qi was from a peak grade 3 body cultivator, but the pureness and quantity were far above their imaginations.

The hawk was stunned too, but it didn’t have time to think, as Jiang Hao let loose and threw the spear at it. The spear literally vanished from the eyes of cultivators the moment it was released.

The hawk became tense and moved immediately. It had seen the direction of the release, and it could even see the spear as it was coming straight at it.

It flapped its wings and immediately moved back, but even then, the spear touched the area between its neck and wing. It was just a small touch, but it burned and grazed all the feathers in that area.

It was scared witless after that. If the spear had struck it directly, then its death was guaranteed.

It didn’t even take 1 second for the spear to reach it. Sure, it could fly even higher, but it thought that this distance was completely safe. Looks like it was thoroughly wrong.

Just as it was thinking, it heard a desperate call from its master. It was looking towards the spear which was still going into the sky, so it didn’t know that Jiang Hao had thrown something else immediately after throwing the spear.

It looked down while trying to move its body, but it was too late. All it saw was a black dot striking its chest, and that was it. Its chest along with its neck was erased from existence. A 2.5 meters deep hole was left after a 5 meter black sphere disappeared.

This much injury was enough to kill the hawk, which was already falling downward.

Jiang Hao looked at Jing Tian and Yu Yan, specifically Yu Yan, who was watching him expressionlessly.

"Let’s leave," Jiang Hao said to Jing Tian, who nodded and brought out a minor talisman.

The hawk was falling inside the city, as it was just above it. His first strike with the spear wasn’t only for distracting the hawk but also to see if safe zone rules applied on it or not. After all, it was very high.

After seeing it getting hurt by the spear, it was clear that the rules didn’t apply, so he immediately used the nihility sphere.

The spear was long gone, so there was no need to collect it. Well, he could pay in spirit stones for it. He just hoped that she didn’t blame him for it.

Well, she would have thought about it already before giving the spear. After all, he hadn’t asked to see it but use it.

Jing Tian used a small amount of spirit qi for activation, and the talisman vanished inside the void while creating a stable crack in space. It wouldn’t last long, so they immediately went inside and vanished from the view of the other cultivators.

Unlike how if the master dies then the spirit beast has to die together due to the rule, it didn’t apply the other way. So the person who was the master of the hawk was still alive. He was a little dizzy due to the forceful breaking of his blood contract which was inscribed on his soul.

The disciples from both sects came to the location from where Jiang Hao and others had vanished. They already knew that they had gone to the safe zone which was in parallel to their next one.

It was easy to know by seeing Jing Tian use minor teleportation. The direction has to be chosen before where you want to be teleported.

"We should go there too. We had already predicted this. By now, information to most of the safe zones must have reached. Let’s go, we have to hunt this bastard."

"That’s given, but how is he so strong? Is his physique really that good?"

"Maybe it’s a physical-type physique."

"Then what the hell was that attack just now? How can it do so much damage without even leaving a sound behind? I have never seen any element like that."

"We don’t know about that. Our seniors didn’t mention it. Maybe they didn’t know about it either."

...

They were really shocked seeing the nihility sphere. It was totally unconventional and unseen before.

They discussed and waited for the time being. Using minor teleportations right now could be fatal. What if Jiang Hao was waiting for them nearby? The spatial crack can’t be hidden if Jiang was using a high vantage point to wait for them.

Inside the city, cultivators were again stunned at the display of Jiang Hao. Those from Blazing Valley were even more shocked by the nihility sphere. It was similar to the description how the onlookers had described the attack used on their establishment in the border city.

If it was true, then was Jiang Hao related to the senior who had done it, or was it he himself who had done it... the implications were dire nonetheless.

Everyone by now knew that Jiang Hao and others had stayed inside Mountain Sword Sect before. It was easy to figure that out after the news of them being traitors was released by Azure Sky Sect and Ethereal Cloud Sanctuary.

The most happiest were Blazing Valley, as these two geniuses were problems for them in the long run. But after they were declared as traitors and forced to flee, Blazing Valley celebrated this news and even came forward to help these two sects in finding these traitors.

It was also then Blazing Valley elders admitted that they had wanted to kill these traitors for a long time, even before they were termed as such, but Mountain Sword Sect had protected them.

If what was said was true, then Jiang Hao already saw Blazing Valley as their enemies. So it wasn’t surprising if he was the one who destroyed their shop. The attack looked similar too.

All the disciples of Blazing Valley sucked in a cold breath. They were very close to death. Some of them even decided to not go outside this safe zone and wait for the 6-month period to end.

If even cultivators from the top two sects seemed afraid of Jiang Hao, then what were they? It’s better to stay alive.

...

Jiang Hao, Jing Tian, and Yu Yan, with both spirit beasts, appeared near a mountain. The city still seemed far, but it could definitely be reached in one more teleportation, so Jing Tian took out one more talisman, and they again teleported.

He had a total of 10 of these talismans, all given by his master. His junior sister also had these— in fact, she got 15.

His master was the Sect Master of Starlight Zenith Order, and unlike the Eastern region where three sects are considered equal, inside the Northern region, Starlight Zenith Order is considered supreme.

So, in wealth and strength, it was far better than any of the top three sects of the Eastern or other regions outside of the Central region.

In fact, they come into one of the top 5 sects in the whole world.

They appeared again, and the city was even visible from their current location, but there was one problem. They could also see at least 30 cultivators standing on the road leading to the city, and as expected, most of the cultivators were from the Azure Sky Sect and Ethereal Cloud Sanctuary, while there were some other cultivators from another top sect from the Central region.

Jing Tian knew about them. It could be considered the third strongest sect in the whole world.
