Guide Me If You Dare-Chapter 210: THE SYSTEM’S ORDER
Chapter 210: THE SYSTEM’S ORDER
ASHES.
After the thick and dark smoke caused by the explosion subsided, it rained ashes.
Bambi had disappeared, but Leehan and the two Rogue Clan members were still there— suspended mid-air, unmoving.
Ki Gayoon felt conflicted while watching Ryu Sungbin lose his mind.
Unfortunately, Bambi is still alive.
How did he know?
Natural S-Class Espers like them had the natural ability to know if an S-Class Guide near them had died.
It’s as if we’re programmed to mourn the death of a high-class Guide.
But Gayoon understood Ryu Sungbin’s reaction even though he didn’t want to understand that bastard.
If Noh Yuno exploded and disappeared in front of my eyes, I’d lose my shit, too.
"I’ll kill you, bastards."
Ryu Sungbin said that threat in a low, threatening voice.
But before the fire bastard could even lift his feet off the ground, Gayoon had already snapped his fingers— turning the arena into a sinkhole, swallowing Ryu Sungbin.
The fire bastard didn’t expect that, causing him to fall into the trap helplessly.
Of course, Gayoon was already mid-air when he created the sinkhole.
When he got there, Leehan and the members of the Rogue Clan had already disappeared— only leaving the ashes as their trace.
And it’s a good thing that they managed to escape.
After all, it only took a moment before Ryu Sungbin shot up in the air— already on the verge of going on a Rampage.
Now I really have to half-kill this bastard.
Yeah, Gayoon needed Ryu Sungbin alive since he still had many questions for him.
But, unfortunately, it looked like Ryu Sungbin was no longer interested in the fight.
To be honest, it wasn’t like he was desperate to fight this fire bastard. But he promised to destroy Ryu Sungbin, not only to Noh Yuno.
This is for Matthew, too— and the kids Ryu Sungbin failed to protect.
"You’re not going anywhere, Ryu Sungbin," Gayoon warned, using his psychokinesis when Ryu Sungbin tried to fly in a different direction to restrict his movements. "We’re going to finish this fight whether you like it or not. Don’t worry— I won’t put you in too much pain since I’m also in a hurry."
"Well, you don’t look like you’re in a hurry," Ryu Sungbin said, scoffing. "I guess Noh Yuno isn’t that important to you."
What?
Of course, he was confused as hell.
But before Gayoon could even confront Ryu Sungbin, his Status Window already popped up in front of him.
[Esper Ki Gayoon-nim, the entrance to Dungeon Beom-seok has been opened.]
What the fuck?
Only Gayoon could open the dungeon, so it only meant one thing.
Noh Yuno, where do you think you’re going without my permission?!
***
YUNO DID it.
He voluntarily left the dungeon.
Doing that was easy— all he had to do was leave the mansion through the main exit.
And, voila!
Now he was back in Ki Gayoon’s bedroom.
Hyung isn’t here yet, so that means the fight isn’t over yet.
Yuno quickly changed clothes, and then he ran outside.
To say that he was shocked by what greeted him would be an understatement.
The entire front yard was almost wiped out.
Oh, god.
The beautiful garden had been replaced by nothing but sand. It was like the front yard had turned into a desert.
And there are people buried under the sand...
"Madam, why did you come out?"
Oh.
"Uhm, those people you buried..."
"I can’t kill them since they’re from the National Guide Bureau, but I broke a bone or two," Kang Dabin explained cheerfully. "It’s harder to hold back than to kill them, so I’d say a good job."
"Hyung, your Mana dropped significantly," Lucca said, hugging Kang Dabin from behind. "You shouldn’t have overdone it when you haven’t completely recovered yet from your injury last time."
"That’s exactly why you’re here, Lucca."
"Can I get some Guiding, too?" Yang Youngjae complained lightly. "For some reason, my chest hurts."
Yuno turned to Yang Youngjae, and then his jaw almost dropped to the floor.
There was a person floating above Yang Youngjae— an old, elegant woman trapped inside what seemed like a transparent bubble made of Mana.
That poor old woman was unconscious.
Even so, I still recognized her...
"Isn’t that Madam Doh Boyoung?" Yuno asked nervously. "She’s an executive director of the National Guide Bureau..."
"We don’t want you to get in even more trouble, so we just knocked her out instead of burying her in the sand," Yang Youngjae said, shrugging. "Yuno-ssi, they wanted to arrest you."
"Ah, I figured," Yuno said casually. Of course, he wasn’t surprised after hearing Bambi’s bullshit on national TV. He was just glad that he had reliable bodyguards. "I assume you’ve already seen the news about me?"
Kang Dabin, Yang Youngjae, and Lucca all nodded in unison.
"That’s why you need to return where Gayoonnie has hidden you, Madam," Kang Dabin said firmly, pointing at the door. "We’ll protect you until Gayoonnie returns."
"No, I have somewhere I need to be."
"Gayoonnie won’t lay a hand on you, but he’ll definitely kill us if we let you leave the house."
Okay, that poked his conscience.
However...
"I really need to go and save Sajangnim," Yuno said firmly. "So, it’s either I’ll go alone or you’ll come with me."
Kang Dabin raised an eyebrow. "Yang Youngjae-ssi, send the Madam back to his room."
"Yes, sir."
Yuno gulped hard when Yang Youngjae raised his hand.
He was pretty sure that the Esper would use his gravity manipulation ability to lift him and send him back inside.
Shit, I can’t fight two S-Class Espers.
Even Reverse Guiding wouldn’t work on those two.
Yuno thought he had to cry and beg, but a miracle happened.
Hmm?
The Mana that Yang Youngjae threw at Yuno hit an invisible wall that appeared in front of him out of nowhere.
But it didn’t end there.
The Mana bounced off and hit Yang Youngjae, the force sending the Esper flying.
"Madam, what did you do?" Kang Dabin asked, half-amazed and half-curious. "Did you awaken as an Esper? Are you a dual-class now?"
"I didn’t do anything..."
Yuno trailed off when the Status Window suddenly popped up in front of him.
Oh.
[Guide Noh Yuno-nim, the System will protect you until you get to Guide Moon Noa.]
"It’s the System," Yuno said, raising his head to meet Kang Dabin’s serious gaze. "Dabin Hyung, the System asked me to rescue Sajangnim. Now it’s saying it will protect me until I get to him. That means I can leave here alone if I want to. But I don’t Gayoon Hyung lashing out at you for failing your job. So, please come with me. Let’s save Sajangnim together."
"I have so many questions, especially since you mentioned the System. But sending Yang Youngjae flying is enough for me to believe you for now, Madam," Kang Dabin said, raising the pink turtle plushie in his hand until it was right in front of Yuno. "But Gayoonnie will hear about our little adventure in real-time."
After saying that, a robotic voice came out of the plushie.
<"I’m sending a report to Boss Oppa now.">
Ah, that was Yu Minju.
"Fine. I prefer that Gayoon Hyung knows what I’m up to anyway," Yuno said, nodding. "Let’s go and save Sajangnim now."
***
THE ARENA had turned into a pandemonium already.
There was no way the fight between Ki Gayoon and Ryu Sungbin could go on after everyone witnessed Bambi being "killed" by the Rogue Clan. Ryu Sungbin disappeared, probably to track down the Rogue Clan members who escaped after "killing" Bambi.
The Civilians were panicking, the authorities didn’t know what to do.
But Gayoon could care less.
He left as soon as the Status Window showed up.
"Boss, it’s an urgent call from Yu Minju," Baekho, who greeted Gayoon after he left the arena, handed his phone to Gayoon. "It’s about the Madam..."
Tsk.
He already knew what Yu Minju was about to report, and that pissed him even more.
Because this call is a confirmation that Noh Yuno really left the dungeon.
Gayoon snatched the phone and almost growled while talking. "Where the fuck is Noh Yuno right now?"
<"The madam is headed to Guide Moon Noa’s mansion, Boss Oppa.">
