"GAYOON OPPA, thank you for taking care of me. I’ll go now."

"Have you lost your mind, Lee Sarang?" Ki Gayoon asked coldly. "Why would you return to the people who tried to kill you?"

After having dinner, Lee Sarang went to the guest room to change her clothes.

Then the kid suddenly said something crazy.

If Noh Yuno wasn’t sleeping on Gayoon’s lap (as they were watching TV in the living room), he would have gotten up and grabbed Lee Sarang by the collar. Then he would have locked up the kid in the room so she wouldn’t say something as stupid as returning to her house.

Why would she return there?

"Oppa, I have a plan," Lee Sarang said, sitting in a kneeling position in front of Gayoon. "I don’t remember anything that happened when the Ice Queen took over. So, I can pretend that I lost a portion of my memory when I returned. I’ll pretend I don’t remember their attempt to kill me. Ah, no." She shook her head. "It won’t be "pretending" if I really erase my memories."

"Is that something your new skill can do?"

"Yes, Oppa. I already figured out how to "borrow" other people’s memories, so I can return the memories of your subordinates later."

She just "borrowed" them temporarily.

"I’m planning to put a timer in my head. So, after quite some time, the memories that I sealed would return to me. Hence, I won’t fall for Sungbin Oppa’s lies."

"What if they kill you before that timer even gets activated?"

"Oppa, don’t be pessimistic."

"I’m not being pessimistic," Gayoon said sternly. "They already tried to kill you once, Lee Sarang. That means Ryu Sungbin already crossed the line that I warned him not to cross."

Lee Sarang flinched, and it was probably because of the bloodlust Gayoon accidentally released.

He didn’t mean to, but he was pissed.

Being reminded that Ryu Sungbin tried to kill Lee Sarang was enough to make him mad.

Lee Sarang laughed nervously. "That sounds scary, but go ahead, Yuno-ya."

"I understand your desire to steal that flash drive. But now that Esper Ryu Sungbin-ssi and the others know that you’re aware of its existence, I’m sure they already hid the evidence. Heck, I think they already destroyed it. I would if I were them."

Gayoon nodded in silent agreement.

"Sarang Noona, there’s another reason why you want to return, right?" Noh Yuno asked carefully. "Are you worried about Guide Mo Hanjin-ssi?"

Lee Sarang flinched, but she couldn’t refute that.

"You’re barely sober ever since Mo Hanjin became your Guide, Lee Sarang," Ki Gayoon said. Thankfully, he had finally calmed down. "It’s obvious even to me that Bambi is using your Guides to control you. That’s the reason why I fought hard for the government and the Bureau to leave me alone. You’re not stupid, Lee Sarang. You know that Mo Hanjin has been using and controlling you all this time."

Ki Gayoon didn’t say anything wrong.

In fact, Yuno wanted to say the same things.
