Guide Me If You Dare-Chapter 165: MISSING MEMORIES
Chapter 165: MISSING MEMORIES
IT WAS a mess.
The sudden surge of "flood" left Ki Gayoon’s house half-destroyed.
Worse, Hyung’s people were hurt because the "water" that almost drowned them actually came from Sarang Noona’s melted ice.
The people who almost drowned all had a part of their memories erased.
Hence, the Espers almost went on a Rampage.
Yuno volunteered to guide everyone, but Ki Gayoon simply knocked out his people so they wouldn’t snap.
And, now, Lee Sarang— the #2 Esper in the country— was kneeling before Ki Gayoon.
"Gayoon-ah, I’ll take your kids to my private clinic," Lee Woonhak— the handsome A-list actor, a B-Class Esper, and a rare Healer— said while patting Ki Gayoon’s head. "Don’t be too hard on Esper Lee Sarang-ssi."
Ki Gayoon remained frowning.
Hyung really cares about his people even if he doesn’t want to admit it, huh?
"Madam, I’ll be taking everyone with me."
Lee Woonhak didn’t come alone after Ki Gayoon summoned him— he came with several medical staff.
Almost twenty people were hurt.
Some household staff members who were Civilians didn’t get hurt that much because the Espers protected them.
Even so, everyone who got soaked in the "water" was having memory problems now.
Hence, Lee Woonhak had to bring his team to take care of everyone.
"Yes, please take care of everyone," Yuno said, bowing politely to Lee Woonhak. "Thank you, Woonhak Hyung-nim."
Yes, he was given permission to address Ki Gayoon’s elite team members casually.
"It’s not easy handling two natural S-Class Espers," Lee Woonhak said, patting Yuno’s shoulder sympathetically. "Good luck, Madam."
Ki Gayoon stopped scolding Lee Sarang and quickly whipped his head in Yuno’s direction. "Woonhak Hyung, stop touching my boyfriend."
Aigoo.
How did Gayoon Hyung even know that Woonhak Hyung-nim was patting my shoulder when he wasn’t even looking here earlier?
Lee Woonhak immediately withdrew his hand. "Yes, Boss."
Yuno quickly sent off Lee Woonhak before Ki Gayoon lost his temper again.
Fortunately, Lee Woonhak’s staff members were competent.
In just the blink of an eye, everyone was gone— leaving Yuno, Ki Gayoon, and Lee Sarang in the front yard.
They had no choice since the house was half-frozen by ice.
Lee Sarang had to stop the flood by freezing the water.
Apparently, we can’t touch it or else we’ll lose our memories.
Yuno stood next to Ki Gayoon, and Ki Gayoon immediately wrapped an arm around his waist before going back to scolding Lee Sarang.
Poor Sarang Noona.
"My people lost a big part of their memories," Ki Gayoon said in a calm but obviously pissed tone. "Is there a way to retrieve their memories?"
"Probably...?"
Ki Gayoon looked even more pissed now. "Is it a new skill?"
"Yes, Oppa," Lee Sarang said nervously. "I have your people’s memories within me. If I master my new skill, I think I can find a way to return their memories. Please give me time to study my new skill first."
Ki Gayoon was obviously dissatisfied with Lee Sarang’s response.
But nothing will happen even if Hyung keeps scolding Sarang Noona.
"Gayoon Hyung, we should let Sarang Noona organize her thoughts first," Yuno said while rubbing Ki Gayoon’s back. "And since we can’t use your house at the moment, we should go to a hotel or something."
"I haven’t scolded Lee Sarang enough yet."
"Hyung, I’m hungry."
"Okay, what do you want to eat?" Ki Gayoon asked, immediately changing his tune. "We don’t have to go to a hotel since I have a penthouse, too. But if you want to go to Moonlight Hotel again, then I don’t mind. You like the food there in that hotel’s restaurant, right?"
"Ah, yes. But I haven’t been to your penthouse yet, Hyung," Yuno said, his eyes probably sparkling. "Let’s just order food. I’m craving Chinese food."
***
YUNO was impressed by Ki Gayoon’s penthouse, but not because of how fancy it was.
He was stunned by how much an expensive-looking house could look so lifeless. Yeah, he was aware that the penthouse was practically empty most of the time.
Even so, he didn’t like how bland it was.
"Hyung, let’s buy plants later," Yuno said when he sat next to Ki Gayoon. They were in the dining hall, having Chinese food for their early dinner. "Your penthouse is nice and all, but it’s dull and lifeless."
"Sure. You can do whatever you want to this penthouse," Ki Gayoon said casually. "I’ll transfer the ownership to your name if you want."
"That’s too much, Hyung."
"Are you two dating with marriage in mind?"
That was Lee Sarang’s curious question.
"I wouldn’t date Noh Yuno if that wasn’t my goal in the first place," Ki Gayoon scoffed. "Don’t most people date with marriage in mind?"
"Oppa, you’re more old-fashioned than I thought," Lee Sarang said, and then she turned to Yuno with teasing eyes. "Yuno-ya, how about you?"
"I’ll think about it if Gayoon Hyung survives in three months."
"That means yes, Noh Yuno feels the same way about me."
Lee Sarang looked confused, but she didn’t get the chance to ask another question.
"Enough about us," Ki Gayoon said in a scolding tone. "Lee Sarang, what happened to you? Why did the Ice Queen come out?"
Lee Sarang tried to smile, but her tears rolled down her cheeks. "Gayoon Oppa, they tried to kill me— Sungbin Oppa, Matthew Oppa, and Sooin Unnie ganged up on me."
Ah.
Yuno immediately held Ki Gayoon’s hand when Ki Gayoon’s Mana spiked up, causing a mild earthquake.
He immediately guided his Esper before he lost it.
Fortunately, his guiding worked because the earthquake stopped.
But Hyung still looks mad as hell.
That was completely understandable.
"Those bastards tried to kill you?" Ki Gayoon asked in a low and cold voice. "I know they have lost their minds a long time ago. But why did they suddenly target you?"
"It’s probably because I tried to steal something from Sungbin Oppa," Lee Sarang explained. "When we raided SECO’s hide-out, I saw Sungbin Oppa hide a flash drive instead of submitting it to the Esper Association."
Yuno thought it was, indeed, suspicious.
I wonder what Esper Ryu Sungbin-ssi found.
***
"SUNGBIN HYUNG, stop him!" Bambi said desperately clinging to Ryu Sungbin’s arm. "Matthew will really kill Kim Jaeha at this rate!"
Ryu Sungbin sighed, watching as Matthew lay a hand on Kim Jaeha again.
"Hyung!"
"I can’t stop Matthew and you know that," Ryu Sungbin said, patting Bambi’s head. "Don’t worry too much, Bambi— that thing won’t kill Kim Jaeha."
Not yet, at least.
