Chapter 361: Chapter 361: Bridal Chamber

After the group left, the person who had been hiding in the shadows and eavesdropping slowly walked out.

"F**k, they really came back? My information was indeed accurate."

Brandon Reese initially thought Adrian Holt was joking when he received the message.

It was Brandon himself who had arranged for Henry Summers to become addicted to gambling. The most recent news of them he received was a month ago.

He heard that this father and daughter had long been destitute and lived a life pursued by debt collectors daily.

Believing they wouldn’t pose a threat anymore, he withdrew the surveillance on them.

Unexpectedly, just a month later, they had returned to the country?

Indeed, looks can be deceiving.

He had underestimated Henry Summers and Grace Summers.

Watching their departing figures, Brandon Reese waved his hand at his subordinates behind him, "Follow them, make sure not to be noticed, and report back to me at any time."

"Yes."

On the other side, Grace Summers was pulled into the car and suddenly fell onto the back seat, feeling dizzy.

Henry Summers was not in a much better condition, but to survive, he had to endure.

Soon, the car entered a luxurious villa complex and stopped at the one furthest inside.

"You guys will temporarily live here, and someone specially assigned will take care of your daily needs."

Grace Summers and Henry Summers’ eyes lit up, instantly dispersing the gloomy emotions in their hearts.

This luxurious villa, even the Summers Villa from two years ago, wasn’t a third as grand.

Having lived long in a dark, damp, and cramped rental, Grace Summers felt unreal as she stepped out of the car, feeling the ground beneath her feet soft and fuzzy.

Is this really for us to live in?

"What are you dawdling for? Hurry up and go inside!" the leading man barked, startling them into hurriedly picking up their sparse luggage and walking into the villa.

Once inside, he spoke again, "Don’t think just because this house is yours to live in, that it’s yours to own. From now on, you must follow my orders. If you fail, I can kick you out at any time."

The man’s judging and disdainful gaze swept over Henry Summers and Grace Summers, his lips curling into a mocking smile.

Had it not been for their slight usefulness, he wouldn’t bother dealing with these two fools.

Henry Summers came to his senses and hurriedly nodded and bowed to the man, "Rest assured, we will definitely do our tasks to the best of our abilities."

"That would be best."

The man coldly dropped those words and left without looking back.

Not far from the villa, under a shady tree, a black Maybach was parked, with someone inside incessantly looking out.

Seeing several men with stern faces and black suits coming out, he immediately took a breath of relief.

He called Brandon Reese and reported, "Assistant Reese, they have now gotten into the car, do we continue following them?"

"Follow them, remember not to get too close, and send more people to watch near the villa. Let me know immediately of any movements from Henry Summers and Grace Summers," Brandon Reese ordered solemnly.

While on the phone, Brandon Reese was standing in the hallway, and Liam Shaw happened to pass by and overhear this statement.

He paused, his brows slightly furrowing, and after Brandon Reese hung up, he asked, "What happened? I thought Henry Summers and Grace Summers had already left the country?"

"They just came back and even connected with the organization’s people."

Liam Shaw’s expression darkened, and a cold glint flashed in his deep eyes, "This father and daughter really aren’t giving up. Continue to have people watch them."

"Okay."

Internally, Brandon Reese sighed in admiration, truly befitting as brothers, Liam Shaw’s statement was completely in agreement with that of Adrian Holt.

"By the way, Young Master, isn’t the Shaw Family’s banquet happening in these few days? Should I adjust your schedule?"

The Shaw Family has a banquet every month; bluntly put, it’s just accompanying the old man for a meal, and a gathering for the family.

Whenever there’s a banquet, the second branch who moved out long ago will also come back to stay for a few days.

By now, the mother and daughter of the second branch have learned to be smart, hiding their sharp edges in front of the old man, but they still secretly target Serena Summers.

The last time Adrian Holt came back to the Shaw’s, it happened to be when that mother and daughter were staying in the old house.

After Adrian moved back, whether it’s because they felt guilty for their nefarious deeds, previously they would cling to stay as long as possible, but that evening, they even took the initiative to leave.

Thinking about it just feels refreshing!

Liam Shaw nodded his head, "Help me cancel the schedule for that day."

"Young Master, you are getting more and more proficient in managing the company," Brandon Reese commented while following behind Liam Shaw.

The Young Master used to be very resistant to taking over the company, preferring to focus solely on his research.

Initially, Brandon was worried that Liam Shaw wouldn’t be able to handle many of the duties, but his worries turned out to be completely unnecessary.

Liam Shaw gave him a sidelong glance, "Cut it out, you better persuade Adrian to come back soon, I don’t want to suffer here."

He didn’t like doing business at all; dealing with so many people every day required carefully weighing every word.

It was too exhausting.

When focusing on his research, he didn’t need to consider anything else; just being concentrated was enough.

Brandon chuckled lightly, "Young Master, Master Holt is currently busy cultivating his relationship with his wife; you must bear a bit more burden."

Adrian Holt had made it clear that until he regained his memory, he would absolutely not return to Shaw Group.

Partly because he had completely no recollection of the Shaw family’s business and partly because he was worried that people from the organization might use him to harm the Shaw Group.

Of course, the most important reason was to squeeze out more time to spend with his wife.

So for the foreseeable future, Adrian Holt wasn’t going back to the Shaw Group.

Liam Shaw rubbed his temples and waved his hand, "Alright, alright, hurry off, didn’t Adrian ask you to pick him up? Just go."

One after another, everyone treated him as if he were a tool at their disposal.

Brandon, grinning, left and drove back to the Shaw’s to pick up Adrian for the company.

Recently, Master M was busy with other matters and didn’t have time to attend to the company’s business, so he dumped the whole mess on Adrian.

"Sir, do you need help here? Young Master gave me a day off, today I’m all yours!" Brandon said while driving, looking at the rear seat through the rearview mirror.

At the moment, Adrian Holt was leaning back in the rear seat, his deep eyes staring intently at the computer screen.

Upon hearing this, he looked up indifferently and glanced at him, "Is it not busy on the elder brother’s side?"

"It’s alright, today there are mainly two meetings to attend, the rest are small matters."

Adrian nodded, understanding, then asked, "Have you found out Henry Summers and Grace Summers’ current address?"

"It’s over at Dragoncourt Villa, very close to your matrimonial home with your wife."

"Matrimonial home?" Adrian raised an eyebrow; he didn’t know there was a matrimonial home.

Brandon explained in a low voice, "Actually, it’s not a new house, it’s the place you moved into when you left the Shaw’s years ago, and you renovated it again after getting married."

"Then why did the wife always stay in the old house?"

"Initially, the old man didn’t quite trust the wife’s medical skills and was afraid something might happen to you, so he found an excuse for you to move back to the old house."

"Later you moved back, but after you had an accident, the wife locked herself in her room and drowned her sorrows in alcohol, despondent. The old man was worried about her and let her move back again."

Adrian lowered his eyes, a prickling pain surfacing in his chest.
