Chapter 360: Chapter 360: Make Him Come Without Return

The next morning, Serena Summers was woken up by a ringing sound.

The ringing sound echoed in her ears, causing her head to ache; she rubbed her face annoyed into Adrian Holt’s chest.

Adrian Holt opened his eyes, covered Serena’s ears with one hand, and picked up the cell phone from the nightstand with the other to answer.

"Hello?" His voice was still husky and low from just waking up, indescribably magnetic.

The person on the other end paused for a few seconds and asked in surprise, "You’re still sleeping? That’s not like you at all."

"Get to the point," Adrian Holt said with his eyes downcast, noticing Serena furrowing her brows uneasily, and interrupted the small talk.

The corners of M’s mouth twitched, guessing something and deliberately lowering his voice, "I’ve found out the identities of those two people, they have some connection with you."

"Who?" Adrian Holt frowned, searching through his mind, failing to find a suitable candidate.

Suddenly, his eyelids twitched fiercely, and a person came to mind.

"Is it Henry Summers?"

He had never really had contact with Henry Summers, but Brandon Reese mentioned this man before.

He was Serena’s father, yet he never fulfilled his paternal duties and even used Serena as a bargaining chip for a celebratory purpose.

Thinking of the unfair treatment Serena had once endured, a dense pain surged in Adrian Holt’s heart.

M’s answer confirmed his guess, "That’s right, it’s Henry Summers. Two years ago, he smuggled his illegitimate daughter Grace Summers into Corland; I’ve already sent the specific details to your email."

"Alright, I’ll have a look."

Adrian Holt got out of bed quietly and opened his email to check the details M had sent.

Two years ago, Henry Summers left Corland with a large sum of money, enjoying a life of luxury and indulgence.

It wasn’t until he was introduced to a casino later that he became uncontrollable, squandering all that money away.

The most recent incident happened a few days ago, when Henry Summers tried cheating in the casino like others did and was cornered by them, left with no way out.

Following that, he took Grace to see Kyle.

Adrian Holt pondered for a long while before asking, "Does Henry Summers’ gambling addiction have anything to do with me?"

M chuckled lightly, "To be exact, it’s connected to who you were before losing your memory. Henry has never regarded Serena as a human being, causing her such deep harm; I’m guessing you probably wanted to get even on her behalf."

Adrian Holt leaned back in the sofa, a mocking smile spreading on his lips, "Scum like him wouldn’t be too much to kill; just making him lose some wealth is letting him off too easy."

However, this was in line with his way of doing things.

The things Henry Summers cared about the most were nothing but money and women.

His first love was already dead, which left only money; for money, he could even abandon his lawful wife and three sons.

It’s only when losing what he cares about most that he would feel a fate worse than death.

"So why did Henry Summers go to see Brother Kyle? What’s the connection between them?"

"You’ve finally gotten to the heart of the matter. I found out that Henry Summers contacted Brother Kyle as far back as 21 years ago," M responded.

Adrian Holt’s mind exploded with a realization, instinctively looking towards the girl sleeping soundly on the bed.

years ago... wasn’t that exactly when Serena was lost?

Kyle was also an important member of the organization, specializing in searching for suitable children for their experiments.

Then everything made sense.

Serena had not simply gotten lost on her own; all this was the scheme of her biological father, which was utterly preposterous.

How could there be such a cruel father in this world?

He moved his lips and asked in a lowered voice, "Is the information reliable?"

"Reliable. There’s also a recording in the email I sent you, you can listen to it."

Adrian Holt had spent two years in the organization. Although he rarely interacted with others, it wasn’t completely nonexistent.

During missions, he had saved many lives, and those people owed him favors.

Moreover, living on the edge every day within the organization bred a desire in many to escape.

So, those people were now effectively Adrian’s informants, it’s just that their ranks weren’t high enough to find out the organization’s new stronghold.

Yes, even before he met Serena Summers, he had already thought about leaving the organization.

The organization taught him to obey orders, to do whatever it takes to survive, but his inherent defiance told him that to be subdued, they needed sufficient power.

Unfortunately... the organization didn’t have it.

Initially, he wanted to bide his time, waiting for the perfect opportunity, but fate was always so unpredictable.

He met Serena Summers and discovered his true identity.

Standing from an observer’s perspective, he could identify problems he had never thought of before more clearly.

M remained silent for a while before speaking again, "Kyle has already arranged passports for them; they are probably on the flight back to Corland by now."

Adrian clenched his fists, the knuckles cracking, a murderous intent rising in his eyes.

He sneered, "If he dares to come, I’ll make sure it’s a one-way trip."

After hanging up the phone, Adrian sent a message to Brandon Reese: "Send someone to the airport. If you see Henry Summers and Grace Summers, watch them from the shadows, don’t act rashly."

He was curious to see what these two had in mind by coming back.

City S airport.

Henry Summers and Grace Summers walked out of the airport, surrounded by several burly men.

Seeing the familiar airport and the coming and going crowds, Grace barely held back her tears.

Heaven knows how painful her two years in Country C had been—a longing for her life back home haunted her when she wasn’t trapped in her midnight dreams.

"Move faster, what are you dawdling for?" Seeing Grace standing still, the man who had been by her side to prevent her from running away suddenly pushed her.

"Ah!" Grace stumbled from the shove, nearly falling to the ground.

Her eyes reddened, and she bit her lower lip in grievance, feeling an indescribable sense of humiliation.

"What right do you have to treat me like this? I am Brother Kyle’s woman!"

The man paused, his eyes scornfully sweeping over her, "Brother Kyle has had many women; what makes you think you are so important?"

To them, a woman was nothing more than a tool for relief. It was surprising that Grace actually considered herself special.

"You!"

Grace felt a surge of anger at her heart, almost choking on the outrage, yet she insisted, "I advise you to treat me with respect, otherwise I will tell Brother Kyle!"

"Go and tell him. It wasn’t just Brother Kyle that night, you must have forgotten I was there too. So doesn’t that make you my woman as well?"

While speaking, the man clenched his fist, the knuckles cracking. Fear instantly welled up in Grace’s heart.

Upon seeing this, Henry quickly stepped forward, shielding Grace behind him, and ingratiatingly said, "Big brother, the kid doesn’t know the rules. Don’t lower yourself to her level, we’ll leave right away."

Only then did the man withdraw his menacing gaze and strode forward.

Grace watched his retreating figure with venomous eyes.

Just wait, she thought. One day, she would regain her high status.

And when that time came, she wouldn’t spare a single one of those who had wronged her.
