[BL] Debut in Interstellar After Retiring as Grim Reaper-Chapter 74: Meeting Again
Chapter 74: Chapter 74: Meeting Again
Chapter 74: Meeting Again
Can a grim reaper dream? No. They don’t even need to sleep nor eat, more likely dreaming. They can just make humans dream for the souls they guided instead.
But even though he has this skill, Qin An never experienced it himself.
Thus, the first thing that Qin An thought when he opened his eyes and saw he was in a dark place filled with emptiness, he thought he just transmigrated again.
His back straightened and he looked at his surroundings with vigilance. Even though he is now a human with weaker senses and physical strength, it didn’t weaken his vigilance and keen intuition on this kind of thing.
What is happening? How did he even end up in this place when he just took a nap?
Did the underworld decide to transfer him to another world perhaps? Was the transmigration that happened to the Interstellar a mistake because he was supposed to be reincarnated to a human being who would not remember his past, right?
Qin An turn his head to left and right but really couldn’t see anything. He couldn’t even feel what’s beneath him and just knew he was floating.
Where is he?
But... if the underworld would really transfer him, does that mean that his life in that era will disappear, right? The new world, the humans he met, and the various emotions that he had felt from the experience on stage... will it really end just like that?
Qin An stilled. His face turns cold and he unconsciously curls his hand into a fist.
It shouldn’t matter. Nothing will change after all, right?
Qin An’s eyes flash and just throw this thought at the back of his mind. He begins by observing the place where he was in hope to find out where he is but no vain.
It just seems like he’s floating in an endless darkness.
This scene happened for a few moments before Qin An suddenly felt beneath him becoming cold and solid. He quickly stabilized himself and stood upright. He tightens his vigilance again and looks at his surroundings. Other than he’s not floating anymore, nothing changed. It’s still too dark that he couldn’t see anything.
However, even with such unknown happenings, his face stays calm and steady. That’s why he just stood there silently.
Until such time, Qin An heard gradual footsteps coming towards him.
His eyes narrowed and waited for the opponent.
Time passed by, the footsteps didn’t know when it stopped but Qin An didn’t still see anyone around him.
Just as he thought this was becoming meaningless, Qin An finally heard a familiar voice behind this darkness.
"Senior Grim Reaper No. 444, it’s nice to see you again."
"!!!" Qin An was startled.
Someone called his former identity. And that voice... that was owned by the Judge itself.
Qin An fell into confusion about this. ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom
"How’s your life as a human?" The Judge asked as if meeting on their daily life back then. However, they’re never been this casual so Qin An was even more suspicious.
"Why am I here in this place?" He asked instead of answering him. "Will you send me to another place?" He continues.
"No one will send you away, No. 444. This is just a dream."
Dream? Qin An was surprised. So this is what humans are capable of. Right? But dreams came unconsciously, but this seems intentional. What does the Judge want from him?
It doesn’t matter. Might as well just make this an opportunity to solve the questions that’s bothering him.
"Is there an underworld here too?" Qin An asked straightforwardly. Right now, he just wants his doubts to be clear.
Fortunately, the Judge also went back to his normal attitude towards him. His voice went back to emotionless and has authority.
"No." The Judge also answered him straightforwardly.
He frowned. "No? But I saw two ghosts here in this era. They shouldn’t exist in this world anymore, right?"
The Judge took a few seconds to answer. "That’s true."
Qin An was speechless. What kind of answer is this? Isn’t he supposed to know it because he’s the Judge of the underworld?
"Then what about letting someone guide them to your side?" Qin An suggested but the latter didn’t answer. He didn’t care and continued bombarding the Judge some questions that has been lurking inside his mind for some quiet time now.
"Do you know about the riots here? Why are they the same as the resentment on Earth? I saw it circling around their heads and found out it’s because of the Zergs polluting their mental energy. However, Zergs are still living beings, how can they have the ability to have the same resentments as the dead?" Qin An didn’t hold back and started questioning him.
Unfortunately, the Judge did not answer which made him frown. Why is he not answering?
He opened his mouth and was about to speak but the Judge finally responded.
"It seems that being a human could really change you, No. 444."
He arch his brows. What does he mean?
The next second was very unusual but Qin An actually heard the Judge laugh a bit. It was as if he remembered something and saw that memory resurfaces.
Yet that made him want to face-palm. Whis is the Judge acting very unusual?
Qin An decided to shrug it off and added his questions. "Then why? Why am I seeing these again? I’m sure that I’m completely a human now."
"... Humans can also see unusual things, No. 444."
Qin An was speechless. Is that what he means? He was clearly saying that he’s not part of them anymore. He also keenly noticed his slight pause before answering him. It’s clear that the Judge is hiding something from him.
He took a deep breath. "What do you intend to do?"
What does he intend to do by making him see ’them’ again?
"It’s not time yet." The Judge answered seriously. Qin An was even more confused.
"But—"
"But it’s all fate."
Before he could think further about its world, Qin An woke up from his dream when he suddenly heard chaos sounds around him.
He opened his eyes and saw the trainees anxiously walking around the room. It’s obvious that something will happen again for them to become like this.
He frowned irritably and rubbed his temples. The dream was disrupted because of them. Qin An hasn’t heard the Judge’s answer yet!
He exhales a loud breath and sits up on bed.
"What happened?"
Xing Ren found him awake and sighing. "Nanxiao woke up."
It’s a happy occurrence but why do they look worried?
Xing Ren saw his confusion so he continued. "Nanxiao is binging again in the kitchen."
Again?
Qin An’s eyes narrowed sharply. It seems that someone is not listening to him.
