Chapter 148: Chapter 148: The Vengeful Elf(Part 8)

"I’ve got this, don’t scatter!" Exclaimed Aster, as he stepped forward and put up a tall, wide telekinetic wall, the trees slamming onto it with loud crashes before falling down and hitting the ground with sharp thuds, puffs of dust rising up.

"To the left!" Yelled Raven, right as Leptar rapidly emerged from a row of bushes to the left of the ground, charging towards Jules, who was the closest to him.

She turned across and sprang back as intense flames erupted around blades, before Zesta and Wistari zipped in on either side of Leptar as he began to close in on Jules.

Suddenly, he flung his axe straight up into the air and swung both his fists outwards with immense force. Zesta, who had formed a blade of ice to replace his broken sword, quickly raised the blade up defensively, as Wistari crossed her twin blades in front of herself.

The force exerted through Leptar’s fists shattered their weapons upon impact, marginally slowing his fists down, before his left fist slammed onto Zesta’s forearm, while his right fist collided against the top of Wistari’s chest, just below the base of her neck.

Zesta’s vision blurred severely as he got sent flying back with immense speed through the air, blood streaming down his face from his forearm, before he crashed onto a tree, the back of his head thudding against it and knocking him out, as Wistari coughed out blood as she went skidding across the ground, struggling to get back up as she came to a screeching halt across the ground, wracked with immense pain across her chest as she wheezed and coughed hoarsely, her ribs and throat severely damaged.

As Leptar reached up to catch his axe at it came plummeting down, Aster swiftly struck it with a rapid telekinetic blast before it could get within his reach, knocking it away before Leptar swiftly crossed his arms in front of himself as a concentrating, slashing wave of flames came shooting towards him, slamming onto his forearms and scorching his skin, before a powerful pair of purple energy beams struck his chest and pushed him back across the ground, burning his skin.

As the beams petered out, he lifted his gaze to see several explosive projectiles shooting down towards him, before racing away as they closed in on him, a chain of explosions erupting as the projectiles peppered the ground, knocking him off-balance as they burst out with immense force.

"Now, [Blood Zone]," Suddenly came Colt’s voice from his left, a large mass of blood bursting out of his hands and spreading out rapidly, forming a dome around Leptar before spreading across the ground.

"Hm? Well, this is unusual," Remarked Leptar in bemusement, as several blood tendrils burst out and coiled around his limbs, neck and torso, constricting tightly.

"Unfortunately, I don’t have the luxury of taking my time with torturing you, so I’ll have to make this quick. I’ll tear you apart from the inside," Smirked Colt, as the blood tendrils began to burrow through Leptar’s flesh, a couple of tendrils rising towards his eyes and nostrils.

"My, you’re actually quite dangerous. I should probably put a stop to this," Mused Leptar, before suddenly forcibly breaking free of his restraints and charging towards Colt with immense speed, ducking and weaving as a barrage of blood arrows and slashes came shooting towards him from the dome of blood surrounding him.

Colt drew out his dagger as Leptar closed in on him, driving it towards the Elf as he powerfully thrust his fist towards Colt’s stomach.

Colt increased the concentration of his blood around that spot while simultaneously forming a thick layer of blood over his stomach, before a winded gasp rang out as Leptar’s fist slammed onto the middle of his stomach, the blood he’d gathered absorbing some of the impact, but it was too powerful to fully block, a few of his organs rupturing as blood poured out of his mouth, before his blood dome fell apart as he got sent hurtling back with immense speed.

As Colt skidded across the ground and crashed into a row of bushes, Leptar touched at his neck, a trickle of blood running down as the tip of Colt’s dagger had nicked his skin.

"That’s one sharp blade he’s got there. And this feeling, was it laced with poison? Well, my regeneration should nullify it soon," He muttered with a shrug, before swiftly racing away as a barrage of explosions, flames and telekinetic blasts came shooting towards him.

Aster unleashed a rapid, piercing telekinetic beam towards him as Jules fired out a massive, roaring wave of flames, before a loud crash rang out as Leptar drew out his sword and slammed it onto the ground, triggering a shockwave and kicking up a thick cloud of dust before the attacks could reach him.

As the dust cleared, there was no sight of him, having retreated back into the forest. The others were quick to take the opportunity to regroup, looking around tensely as they waited for him to appear again.

"Damn it, I’ve barely been able to do anything. I know I should be able to inflict some serious damage if I can just land a hit, but he’s way too fast, I can’t even get close to him," Remarked Wielle in frustration, as Raven flew off to gather Zesta and Wistari, who were both unconscious, as well as Colt, who was barely conscious himself.

Nero walked over towards her and patted her arm, before using his Dark Magic to write ’It can’t be helped, you’re a Pulverizer so your combat style doesn’t focus on speed. We need to find a way to restrain him long enough for you to land a hit’.

"That’ll be easier said than done, though. He’s immensely skilled, and he’s pretty smart too. He’s strong enough to take all of us at once, but he’s attacking in short bursts, taking out a few of us each time and then retreating before the rest of us can regroup. We can’t let this trend continue," Replied Aster with a grimace.

"Even with Raven around to heal the injured, his strikes are strong enough to instantly knock out those who manage to survive his hits, and they stay unconscious for a while even after healed," Added Jules, as Raven healed the two Grand Warriors and Colt.

"Shit, that’s a lot of damage...but it’s not so bad that I can’t fix it up. There we go. You alright?" Inquired Raven, as he finished healing Colt.

"Yeah, that was way more force that I was expecting...it hurt so good," He smiled as he got back onto his feet and stretched his arms out, turning his gaze up as he felt a droplet hit his nose, a drizzle starting to fall and steadily growing stronger.

"With his speed, it’s almost impossible to coordinate our attacks, if we’re too reckless we could end up hitting each other. We only have a brief window to attack him before he retreats, but he’s too damn fast for us to land any serious hits," Spoke up Celia.

"Yes, despite his immense physical prowess, he isn’t being careless. The caution and tactics he’s displayed are impressive, he is formidable," Said Wielle grimly, before stiffening as Leptar’s laugh echoed out around them, the wind howling across the area as the rain grew stronger, pelting the ground with increasing intensity.

"Wow, never thought I’d see the day when an Elf would ever acknowledge me like this, let alone a Grand Warrior!" He cackled in amusement, before continuing as the tone of his voice turned bitter and venomous, "But it’s too late for that. All I wanted was to be acknowledged when I was younger...but now, I don’t want that anymore, it isn’t going to erase everything I endured. So this changes nothing, I’m still going to kill every last one of you, along with everyone else in this damned nation. I’m far beyond the stage of showing you even the smallest shred of mercy."

"Raven, where is he!?" Exclaimed Jules, as the group circled up, the pouring rain affecting the visibility in the area.

"I-I can’t tell, the wind’s too strong-...shit!" Exclaimed Raven, as two massive boulders came hurtling over the trees towards them.

The group scattered as quickly as they could, no time to block the attack, a couple of deafening crashes ringing out as the boulders slammed onto the ground with a devastating impact, the area rumbling violently, before an excruciating cry of pain rang out, along with the sound of flesh tearing and bones breaking...

Everyone turned their gazes in the direction the cry had come from, to see Wielle...she had an arm poking out of the left side of her chest, her heart in its grasp. fгeewebnovёl.com

As she coughed out blood with an agonized wheeze, Leptar crushed her heart before yanking his arm back out, before holding his hand out to let the rain wash the blood off as he tossed the crushed heart away, a wet thud echoing out as Wielle collapsed onto the muddy ground, a tinge of red appearing across the mud as she bled out profusely...
