Bastard Homunculus: Reborn in the Corpse Pit-Chapter 142: The Vengeful Elf(Part 2)

"I put up with the oppression until I reached the age of fifty or so, after which I’d had enough and left the settlement I was born in, making a home for myself deep in the woods," Remarked Leptar, evading with ease as the four Grand Warriors attacked him in unison, very clearly toying with them.

He stepped back as Zesta zipped in towards his right and swung his blade down, evading it before sticking his foot out and tripping the Grand Warrior, who stumbled forward before firing out a barrage of ice shards at Leptar.

Leptar caught a couple of the shards and used them to deflect the rest, before lifting his foot up and stomping on the ground as Wistari sprang up behind him, blowing her away, along with Zesta, as a devastating shockwave erupted upon impact, the ground breaking apart as a cloud of dust rose up around Leptar.

"I was finally free of the discrimination, I was able to live peacefully in the forest...but it wasn’t enough. With each passing day, my hatred grew, a burning sense of vengeance rising up inside me. Eventually, I could no longer ignore those feelings, and I decided to get stronger, strong enough to exact my revenge. And it wasn’t long before I came to realize that I had been blessed with immense physical strength," He continued, before sprinting back as a barrage of dark energy projectiles came shooting out towards him.

As he evaded them, he swung his foot across and struck a rock on the ground, launching it towards Nero with immense force, who just barely managed to raise his dagger in time, the blade shattering to pieces as the rock slammed against it.

He then ducked down as Wielle came charging in towards him and swung the axe end of her weapon at his back with a rapid spin of her body, before she gave the middle of the weapon’s handle a sharp twist, detaching it and splitting it in half.

Leptar spun around as she swung the hammer towards him, catching it with his bare hand before swinging his right foot up as she slashed at him with the axe, his foot striking her elbow with a loud crunch, breaking it as he knocked her arm away, a stifled cry of pain ringing out before he drove his head towards her and slammed his forehead against hers, severely dazing her as he cracked her skull upon impact.

She shakily stumbled back as blood streamed down from the middle of her forehead, her axe hitting the ground with a thud as she lost her grip over it with her broken arm, before Leptar sprang towards her with his fist drawn back.

He then stopped and twisted his body across to the right as a massive ice spike came shooting towards him, raising his hands and catching it before it could pierce him, getting pushed several meters through the air from the momentum generated by the spike, before he shattered it by applying pressure inwards with both hands, his feet hitting the ground and skidding back.

"Back to what I was saying...after I realized that I possessed such immense strength, I worked ceaselessly for the next one hundred and fifty years to hone my strength, I fought countless Monsters in that time, until it eventually became too easy.

That’s when I decided to test my strength against the so-called Warriors of this wretched nation. That was just a few months ago, and I must say, I was surprised at how easily they fell. Even if I held back, most of them would be dead after a single hit!" Laughed Leptar, before turning his body across as a rapid bolt of lightning came shooting towards him.

A towering pillar of ice then rose up, before several branches extended out with immense speed and spread out towards him rapidly, an amused scoff escaping his lips as he raced across to evade them.

He leapt forward as one of the branches zipped in towards him, leaping over it as it pierced into the ground, before arching his back as another one shot straight towards him, whizzing past the front of his chest.

Suddenly, his gaze quickly darted to the right as he spotted Wistari perched atop one of the ice branches shooting towards him, before she leapt off it as it closed in and slashed one of her blades across at his, grazing his chest and inflicting a shallow cut as she shot past him, before spinning around and firing out a bolt of lightning at him.

He swiftly grabbed a nearby branch of ice and snapped off the end of it, before swinging it across with immense force as the lightning bolt closed in on him, striking it and dissipating it upon impact.

He began to step towards her, before swiftly backing away as a barrage of ice shards came shooting in towards him, weaving across the ground to evade them.

"Anyway, I would also question some of the Warriors I defeated before killing them, to learn more about what was currently going on in the nation. That’s how I found out about this conference with the humans. I thought it was a good opportunity to deal a crushing blow to this damned nation...after all, it’s quite rare for the most important and strongest people in Sylph to be gathered in one place like this.

And I could potentially even trigger a war against the humans...even if Sylph was able to win this hypothetical war, there would surely be thousands of casualties. But I don’t think I really want that anymore...no, it would be far more satisfying to kill you all myself, rather than let someone else do it for me!" Laughed Leptar, before adding, "Ahh, it was nice getting all of that off my chest! Now, then...I think I’ve toyed with you long enough. It’s time I take this more seriously and kill you."

"Are you sure you don’t want our help? Your Grand Warriors are going to die," Stated Jules with a grimace.

"Damn it...," Muttered one of the Elders with a hesitant look on his face, as Leptar laced his fingers together and stretched his arms out, cracking his knuckles.

A slight shockwave then burst out as he bent his knees slightly before barreling forward with immense speed, a puff of dust rising up around the spot where he’d been standing as cracks spread out across the ground, as he shot towards Wielle rapidly.

He closed in on her in the blink of an eye, swiftly ducking as she swung her hammer across at his head, before quickly twisting her body across as fast as she could as he drove his fist towards the middle of her body.

His fist slammed against the right side of her torso, just below her ribcage, eliciting an agonized wheeze of pain from her as blood gushed out of her mouth, before she got sent flying back through the air at a breakneck speed, crashing onto the side of a tree and losing consciousness almost instantly, slumping against the trunk as she collapsed onto the ground, blood pouring out of her mouth.

He then zipped away as a rapid ice spike came extending out towards him, evading it before he crouched down and leapt towards Zesta with immense force, the ground breaking apart as chunks of dirt and grass flew out from the force of his leap, as he launched himself towards the Grand Warrior through the air.

Zesta sprang back and raised several ice walls in front of himself, but they barely even slowed Leptar down, as he shattered the walls and drove his fist towards Zesta with crushing force.

Zesta raised his blade up defensively in alarm, Leptar’s fist slamming against it with a deafening clang, the blade absorbing some of the impact before shattering to pieces, his fist colliding onto the middle of Zesta’s chest with a sharp crunch and sending him hurtling back through the air, skidding across the ground before coming to a screeching halt as he let out a weak groan, before he slumped against the dirt as he passed out from the pain.

Leptar then turned his gaze to the left as Wistari shot towards him, firing out an intense, branching streak of lightning towards him.

He raced across the evade the lightning, before charging in towards him, leaping up and forward as she fired out a fierce, devastating blast of lightning towards him, evading it before balling his fists together and swinging them down towards him.

She sprang back and narrowly evaded his strike, his fists slamming onto the ground with a devastating impact, triggering an intense shockwave that knocked her off-balance as the ground rumbled and she stumbled back, before her eyes widened as he took a swift step towards her with his left fist drawn back, freezing as she sensed her impending death as he began to drive it forward.

As his fist barreled through the air, he abruptly halted and pulled back as a dagger came zipping towards him, grazing the front of his knuckles.

Trickles of blood ran down his hand before he drove his foot out towards Wistari, who began to spring back in alarm, but she was too slow to react, his foot slamming square onto the middle of her face, breaking her nose and knocking out several teeth as she went flying back through the air, severely dazed and barely clinging on to her consciousness as she hit the ground and skidded back with a shaky groan.

"If nothing else, you Grand Warriors are at least fast enough to avoid fatal blows, I suppose that’s somewhat impressive," Remarked Leptar, leaning back as another dagger came zipping towards him, before he smirked as he evaded it and shot to his right in the direction it had come from, towards Nero.

A thick cloud of dark mist erupted around Nero as Leptar began to close in on him, before he chuckled and leapt forward, jumping straight into smokescreen and grabbing Nero’s throat before he could react, strolling out of the dark mist as he steadily began to tighten his grip, Nero’s eyes starting to roll back slightly as Leptar’s grip suffocated him.

"You Grand Warriors are managing to last longer than the Warriors I’ve killed before, but you’re all still just so...so weak. I really expected more of a challenge," He chuckled, before stiffening as he suddenly sensed a presence behind him.

"I’ve got you...[Telekinetic Zone]."
