Chapter 141: Chapter 141: The Vengeful Elf(Part 1)

"I...I don’t know who you are, but you’ll pay for that," Growled Jules, as she shakily got back onto her feet and raised her blade.

"Hm? Oh, don’t be stupid, what could you possibly hope to do in your exhausted state? But make no mistake, even if you were at your best, you would stand no chance against me...I have no quarrel with you or any of the other humans, so leave now if you would prefer to live. Just stay out of my way, my targets here are the Elders and so-called Grand Warriors, along with anyone else who dares get in my way," Stated the Elf with a shrug.

"I’m afraid we can’t do that...these are our allies, and we will not abandon them!" Declared Jules, as flames erupted around her blade.

"Oh, well, that’s too bad, then...guess I’ll have to kill you," He sighed in response, before chunks of dirt and grass flew out as he leapt towards Jules rapidly, kicking off the ground with immense force as he drew back his fist and drove it towards her.

She quickly raised the face of her blade up defensively in alarm, right in the nick of time as his fist slammed onto the blade with a sharp clang.

In the next instant, Jules blinked in bewilderment as she found herself hurtling back through the air at an alarming speed, before gritting her teeth and firing out a pressurized burst of flames behind herself to cancel out the momentum, lifting her gaze before stiffening as she spotted the Elf right in front of her, his fists balled together and raised up high.

Suddenly, a wave of ice spikes came rising up towards him, before he swiftly twisted his body across in midair as the spikes closed in on him, before he swung one of his feet forward, planting it against the side of one of the spikes before kicking off of it.

The spike shattered as he kicked off, transitioning into a backflip before landing on the grass with a quiet thud and backing away.

"While we appreciate the sentiment, we cannot let you fight him. This is our problem, it would not be right to allow our guests to be dragged into this," Remarked Zesta, before adding as he helped Jules back onto her feet, "Are you alright?"

"Yes, I’m fine, thanks to you. But, like I said, since we’re allies, it’s only natural that we help you, so-...," She began.

"If the situation escalates out of control, then we may request your aid. However, it would be unacceptable to put you at risk if not necessary...and I highly doubt it will come to that. We Grand Warriors are more than capable of handling this ourselves," Chimed in one of the other Grand Warriors, as all of them gathered.

"Yes, you and the other humans should ensure that your Queen is protected. We can handle this ourselves," Added another of the Grand Warriors.

"I-...very well, then. But please don’t hesitate to ask us for help if it comes to it," Replied Jules, before making her way towards the others.

"You will pay for what you’ve done here...do not think you’ll get out of here alive," Stated Zesta as he brandished his sword at the Elf, before adding, "I am Zesta, a Grand Warrior of Sylph."

"I am Wistari, a Grand Warrior and a member of the Council of Elders," Declared one of the other Elders.

"And I am Wielle, a Grand Warrior," Spoke up the third Grand Warrior.

She had long white hair tied up in a ponytail, golden eyes, a fair complexion, and was of a similar height to Wistari, with a muscular, attractive build. freeweɓnøvel.com

’I am Nero, a Grand Warrior.’

"Yes, yes, I’m well aware of who you all are. But considering that you’re all about to die, the least I can do is allow you your pointless formalities. And I’ll play along...I am Leptar, and I will be your demise," Smirked the black-haired Elf, as he cracked his knuckles.

The four Grand Warriors then spread out and surrounded Leptar, who glanced around with an unbothered look on his face as they eyed him warily, a tension filling the air.

Suddenly, an arrow came shooting out towards the back of Leptar’s head from the trees, before he swiftly raised his arm behind himself, catching the arrow before it could hit him.

A sharp crack echoed out as he snapped the arrow in two, before tossing it away with an amused scoff.

"I see, you’ve got an Archer hiding out somewhere in the woods. But it’s no use, whoever it is, is no threat to me. And that applies to the four of you Grand Warriors as well...I already killed the strongest among you, and the rest of you will soon meet the same fate," He chuckled ominously.

"You bastard...the only reason you were able to kill him was because he was exhausted and because you caught him off-guard. You’ll pay for that, you-...," Began Zesta with a look of rage in his eyes.

"Don’t fool yourself, I could have killed him just as easily even if he was at his best, even without a sneak attack," Sneered Leptar maliciously, in an effort to taunt the Grand Warriors.

"You’ve terrorized the people of Sylph long enough, it ends here and now," Responded Wistari icily.

"Haha...hahahaha...HAHAHAHAHA!!!" Leptar cackled, before his expression darkened as he stopped laughing, his smile fading as a look of immense hatred appeared in his eyes, his voice lowering to a deep, venomous growl as he uttered, "You don’t have the fucking right to act like you’re the ones in the right here."

"Are you sure we shouldn’t help? He’s seriously strong, my instincts haven’t gone off like this since the Undead King," Muttered Raven with a grimace, as a bead of sweat trickled down the side of his face.

"We’ll intervene if necessary...but the Grand Warriors have insisted on handling this themselves, and we should respect that," Replied Jules, as Leptar cracked his neck, the Grand Warriors keeping their distance and waiting for him to make the first move.

"Alright, then...let’s get started. And as you die, I hope you come to realize...that you’ve brought this on yourselves!" Exclaimed Leptar, as he shot towards Wielle.

She swiftly drew out her weapon, which consisted of a large, long handle with an axe on one end and a hammer at the other end. The axe side was single-headed, with three curved spikes on the other side.

As Leptar closed in on her, she fired out a blast of flames at him from her mouth before rapidly twisting her body across, spinning her weapon around with immense force.

Leptar whipped his arm across and batted the flames away with the back of his fist, before leaping up and over the swing of her weapon and driving his fist towards her.

She just barely managed to duck under the thrust of his fist, a gust of wind erupting above her head as his fist narrowly whizzed over her hair, before she swung the hammer end of her weapon up towards him with a sharp flick of her wrist.

Her eyes widened as he swiftly raised his foot and halted the swing as the hammer collided against the sole of his foot, before he drove his other foot towards her chest.

She quickly unleashed a sharp burst of flames as his foot closed in on her, but it only slightly slowed him down, his foot slamming onto the middle of her chest and sending her flying back through the air at an alarming speed.

Her back slammed onto the side of a tree with a jarring, painful impact, eliciting a sharp gasp from her as she coughed out blood, cracks spreading out across the tree trunk as several leaves rained down around her.

As Wielle collapsed onto the ground, blood pouring out of his mouth, Leptar’s gaze darted across to either side as Zesta and Wielle zipped in towards him.

Zesta had coated his sword in a cold, icy mist, as Wistari drew out dual blades, lightning crackling intensely around her body and blades.

Leptar ducked as the pair closed in on him and slashed at him with their blades, before he drove his left arm out and slammed his palm onto Zesta’s stomach before he could react.

Zesta let out a wheezing gasp of pain as the palm strike knocked the wind out of him upon impact, before he got sent flying back, skidding across the ground before coming to a screeching halt, letting out a shaky groan.

Wistari then unleashed a fierce, rapid flurry of thrusts and slashes at Leptar, who evaded the attacks with ease, smirking as she managed to graze his right cheek, drawing out a trickle of blood before he sprang back and slammed his palms together, triggering a shockwave and blowing her away several meters through the air.

He then quickly spun around as Nero snuck up behind him and whipped a dagger up towards his neck, before he raised his hand and grabbed Nero’s forearm, halting the swing of the dagger before a loud crunch echoed out as he snapped Nero’s forearm like a twig, a violent shudder of pain erupting across the mute Elf’s body, before Leptar swiftly flung him away, Nero zipping through the air and crashing into a row of bushes.

"Like I said, you brought this on yourselves," Remarked Leptar coldly, continuing as the Grand Warriors got back onto their feet, "Just because I was born with no Mana, and my unusual black hair, factors that were completely out of my control, I was cruelly discriminated against. I was only a child, and yet, not a single person even defended me."

"I really think we should help...the fact that he’s started monologuing while fighting the strongest individuals in Sylph shows just how confident he is. And going off on what we’ve seen so far, that confidence isn’t baseless," Frowned Aster, as the Grand Warriors surrounded Leptar again.

"Yeah, I know, we should-...," Began Jules as she started to reach for her blade.

"No, stay back. This conflict doesn’t involve you, you have no reason to risk your lives here," Interjected one of the Elders.

"If this keeps up...they’ll die," Jules warned him bluntly.

"I-...we can’t say that for certain yet," Responded the Elder with a conflicted look on his face.

Leptar then backed away as a wave of ice spikes came shooting out towards him, evading them before sighing as another arrow came shooting towards him from the trees, batting it away with the back of his palm.

"Like I already said, that’s pointless. Now, then, where was I...?" He muttered, turning his body across as a rapidly spinning disk of ice came shooting towards him, before continuing as he evaded it, "As I was saying, I was only a child, but no one stood up for me...not a single one of you thought to say that ostracizing and tormenting an innocent child was wrong. You all either ignored my predicament, or worse, joined in on oppressing me."

He then tilted his head across with an annoyed click of his tongue as another arrow zipped out towards him, before narrowing his gaze at the trees in the direction it came from as he swiftly reached down and picked up a rock.

He then drew back his arm and whipped it forward, launching the rock towards the trees at a blinding speed, which shot through the leaves and branches in the blink of an eye before a sharp crunch and squelch came out, followed by a thud, as the rock collided against the head of the Archer and burst through, killing him instantly.

"No! Y-You...you’ll pay for that...!" Growled Wielle furiously.

"You really need to stop kidding yourselves. None of you stand a chance against me...this isn’t a battle, it’s a slaughter. Now, let me continue..."
