Alpha's mate is a male?!?-Chapter 75: Jun’s First Mating.
Chapter 75: Jun’s First Mating.
The tension in the air is thick, suffocating.
Jun barely hears the wolves around him, their voices blending into a chaotic hum of whispers, murmurs, and disbelief.
Kieran’s revelation about the Moon Goddess’s bond with Ace had shaken the entire pack and the fact about Lila.
And now, with Rehan challenging him, everything feels like it’s spiraling out of control.
But Jun isn’t thinking about Kieran or Rehan anymore.
Ace left.
That thought alone pushes Jun into action. He doesn’t think twice as he turns and makes his way through the restless crowd, his mind set on one thing_ finding Ace.
The cool night air greets him as he steps away from the gathering, his feet moving on instinct.
He doesn’t know where Ace might have gone. But Jun heads to the mansion. It’s the only place he can think of now, even when he knows he can’t be gone there. It doesn’t makes sense.
His heart hammers in his chest as he quickens his pace, his mind racing.
Ace had looked so conflicted before he left, and Jun couldn’t ignore the deep sense of unease settling in his gut.
He needs to find him.
Needs to...
A firm grip wraps around his wrist. Stopping his thoughts.
Jun barely has time to react before he’s pulled to the side, dragged into the shadows of the path leading him inside the quiet mansion .
His back collides against the rough bark of a wall, and a familiar presence looms over him. And the way Jun’s body react, he knows who it is.
Rey.
Jun’s breath catches.
The golden-eyed wolf stands close_ too close. His grip is firm but not painful, his body radiating warmth, his scent overwhelming.
Jun has been fighting this feeling for days, pretending he doesn’t notice the way his body reacts whenever Rey is near.
But right now, with the heat of the night pressing down on them and the chaos of the pack left behind, it’s unbearable.
Jun can tell now that Rey is his mate, but ever since Rey told him that his mate is around... Jun thinks that he is wrong about Rey being his mate.
But in real sense, Rey is really his mate.
°He must be my mate, no. Am wrong.
Because Rey had said his mate was around.
Which means it can’t be me! But why do I feel like this toward him?!°
"Where are you going?" Rey’s voice is quiet, low.
Jun stiffens but doesn’t pull away. "I need to find Ace."
Rey’s golden eyes don’t waver. "Leave them alone, Jun, let them solve their own problems."
Jun frowns, attempting to move past him, but Rey doesn’t let go.
"Rey, Ace is..."
"He is old enough, Jun," Rey interrupts, his voice calm, steady. "He knows what he’s doing. He knows what he wants. You don’t have to go after him every time something happens. He also needs space to think of what he wants himself, so just give him space, wherever he is."
Jun grits his teeth. "He’s my..."
"Brother. Best friend. I know." Rey’s gaze softens slightly, but his grip remains firm. "But you need to let him handle this on his own."
Jun swallows hard, his chest rising and falling heavily.
The heat between them is unbearable, his body reacting in ways he doesn’t fully understand since he knows Rey is not his mate... or maybe he is but he refuses to acknowledge.
Still, he forces himself to ask, "Just curious, whose side are you on? Rehan or Kieran’s?"
Rey doesn’t hesitate. "Kieran’s, of course." His voice is steady, unwavering. "I die with him."
Jun exhales, some of the tension in his shoulders easing. He just can’t believe how people are turning on Kieran so suddenly.
But meanwhile, he still needs to make sure Ace is okay.
So he tries again, stepping to the side.
But Rey moves him back. Rey feels like he is on the edge, he wants his mate, despite the chaos going on out there, he wants Jun, he needs him, but he doesn’t know how to start.
"Rey..."
He grips his shoulders and pushes him back_ not roughly, but with enough force to make Jun stumble slightly, his back pressing against the wall.
Jun freezes.
The heat is unbearable now.
It coils inside him, a slow, consuming fire that makes his head spin. He can barely think.
"Stop fighting it now. Jun, am your mate. I was just worried how you will react when you find out about it, because if am rejected by you, I will not be able to take it, I love you, I loved you even before we were mated, it stressed me day and night because back then you were a human and that meant I couldn’t be with you. But then it happened, you become one of us, and I can never be grateful enough to the moon goddess for mating us," Rey murmurs.
Jun’s throat tightens. "What?"
Rey’s fingers tighten slightly on his shoulders, his golden eyes dark and intense. "You feel it, don’t you?"
Jun doesn’t answer.
He can’t.
Because he does feel it. He has been feeling it. But the fact that Rey just said he loved him, long before Jun even knew he existed, just pushed Jun to the edge.
His heat has just become unbearable.
Rey steps closer, their bodies nearly touching, his breath ghosting over Jun’s skin.
Jun shudders, his fingers clenching at his sides, desperate to hold on to the last bit of control he has left.
"I don’t care about the chaos out there," Rey says quietly. "I don’t care about anything else right now." He exhales, his hands sliding down Jun’s arms, fingers twitching slightly as if holding himself back. "I just... I want you, Jun. Please tell me you are willing to be my mate even if the bond is there... without it, would you have wanted me?"
Jun doesn’t have time to process, doesn’t have time to think... because the next second he knows is that he has closed the distance between them.
Capturing Reys lips in a searing, desperate kiss.
Jun stiffens for a moment, but the moment Rey’s warmth fully surrounds him, the resistance crumbles.
The heat takes over, his mind fogging as his body reacts on instinct. He doesn’t know when his hands move, doesn’t know when he grabs Rey’s shirt, pulling him closer.
All he knows is that he’s drowning in this.
Drowning in Rey.
And for the first time, he doesn’t want to fight it.
The world around them fades, the chaos of the pack, the tension in the air_ it all disappears.
For this moment, there is only this.
Only them.
And Jun is lost in it.
