"You know the Guild Master...?" Catherine, who had just returned from a nearby small room, saw the old man’s departing figure.

"Nope." Pannis, munching on something, replied, "How would I know someone so distinguished?"

"But I saw you chatting." Catherine pointed to the seat where the old man had just sat, "Right beside you, right?"

"He probably thought I was too handsome." Pannis raised his mirror again, gazed at himself while stroking his chin, "So he decided to marry his beautiful daughter to me. But, I resolutely declined and severely criticized him."

"You’re so narcissistic." Catherine made a disgusting face, "And a big man actually carries a mirror around with him. Can you be any more repulsive?"

"That would be quite difficult," Pannis retorted, artfully dodged Catherine’s attempt to grab his mirror, "This is borrowed, don’t break it."

"Borrowed?"

Without answering Pannis straightened his collar and cuffs, smacked his face, put on a solemn expression, and gently returned the mirror to the waitress standing nearby. He took her hands and looked deeply into her eyes, "Beautiful young lady, you see, both of us were born in the Fourth Epoch. It’s such a coincidence, surely gods’ arrangement. To celebrate this divine coincidence, shall we have a drink together?"

"Sure." The girl who had been dumbstruck seeing Pannis casually interacting with the Guild Master held Pannis’ hand, "Such a marvelous coincidence, we must celebrate with a drink."

"Huh?" Pannis was taken aback.

"My name is Junnie, and I am seventeen years old," she excitedly declared. "After we finish our drinks, let’s go home together."

"Huh?" Pannis’ mouth was wide open, unable to close.

"Then tomorrow let’s go to the temple to get engaged," she let go of his hand, clasped her hands excitedly in front of her chest, "And let’s get married the day after."

"Hehe, I just recalled, I left a dish cooking back at home, I have to go," Pannis stealthily took two steps back, quickly turned around, grabbed Catherine who was laughing hysterically, and started running faster than a rabbit shot with an arrow, all the while exclaiming, "Oh my God, how can the adventurer’s guild have such a person, it’s too abnormal."

"Indeed, abnormal," Catherine laughed while being dragged along by Pannis, "It hasn’t been normal since you showed up."

Only after running a few streets did Pannis stop. By that time Catherine was out of breath and couldn’t speak from laughing so hard.

"What’s so funny?," Pannis complained. "It was just an accident."

"Alright, it was an accident, hahaha, it’s hilarious," Catherine tried to suppress her laughter and said between wheezes.

"Any missions you want to accept?" Pannis casually tried to change the subject.

"No," Catherine finally stopped laughing when they got back to business, "Only a few minor missions, the road is long, the reward is not high, very troublesome, I didn’t accept."

"Alright, so it was a wasted trip," Pannis shrugged his shoulders, "Shall we go back now?"

"Let’s go shopping first. What will we eat tonight?" Catherine pointed ahead very determinedly, "Finally, someone is there to help me carry things."

"I knew it would end like this," Pannis sighed with a bitter face, "All women are the same."

"Why don’t we go through the alleyway we just passed?" Pannis, feeling quite bored strolling behind Catherine, was glancing around.

"The stuff there isn’t complete," Catherine immediately switches to big sister mode upon hearing his comment, "Vivian loves fish, she is never picky, but she is secretly happy if there is fish. Lina loves the green leaves of jaygrass and mint, if you can match it with a little bit of beef, she will be happy all night. Um, speaking of which, Lina’s shampoo should almost be used up, this must be bought, her hair is so long, a lot is used each time, and also Vivian’s snacks, she often gets up in the middle of the night to do experiments, it will be hard to endure without eating something."

Pannis looked at Catherine in amazement, "You remember all of that."

"Of course," Catherine stated matter-of-factly, "They’re my family, how could I not remember?"

"And what about you?" Pannis asked, "You’ve only talked about their likes, what about yours?"

"Me?" Catherine paused, shaking her head with a laugh, "I don’t have any favourites, I can eat anything and I like everything, so there’s nothing particularly important."

"That’s really strange," Pannis casually remarked, "Such a wealthy lady, with such a grand mansion and surrounding properties, has such a casual approach to food."

This time Catherine did not say something along the lines of ’don’t ask.’ She just walked quietly with her head down for a while before she said, "The property was left by my father, actually I am not rich, in fact, I am poorer than most people. I have a huge debt, very large, much larger than you can imagine."
