"Ah," he said calmly, sipping time like tea. "The dogs arrive."
Yeaga limped out first, dragging his scythe, shirt soaked in blood.Daigo followed, ribs clearly snapped, jaw bruised black.
"Funny. You talk all that crap, but you're stuck on floor 8."
"And you," Enzo said, gesturing, "are stuck in time. Permanently."
TIME – STOP.
SNAP.Yeaga froze mid-swing.Daigo's next breath never came.Blood froze mid-drip.
Enzo walked through the moment, calm. Placed a knife gently under Yeaga's ribs. Whispered:
"You'll feel this in 3... 2..."

"GUAAGH—!!"
Yeaga choked, folding as the blade ripped upward.Daigo moved to block—too slow—Enzo slammed his head into the wall, temple first.CRACK.
"We're gonna die in a hallway," Daigo mumbled, blood oozing from his ear.
"Shut up," Yeaga wheezed. "You first."
TIME ASCENDANT MODE: ENZO
Enzo activated his Chrono Halo—gears behind him spun like they were catching fire.
"Foolish creatures. You fight a being unshackled from time. Your attacks already failed before you made them."
He blinked.Now he was behind them.
Slice. Knee. Twist. Slam.
Daigo collapsed, arm shattered.Yeaga's eye got sliced clean—blood drenched his face. He staggered, swinging wide, missing Enzo by inches.
"You can't even see me."
Daigo coughed and laughed.
"Yeah? Then why'd you dodge?"
Enzo paused. His cheek was bleeding—barely. A graze.
"Hm. So the dog bites."
Yeaga grinned through blood.
"We bite hard."
TWIN SLASH MODE: BROKEN EDGE
Yeaga's scythe split into two crescent blades again—twirling like a bladed clock.He closed one eye—already too foggy to use—and lunged.
CLANG. SLICE. PARRY.
Metal clashed in unnatural tempo. Enzo caught one blade in bare hand, twisted it, and elbowed Yeaga in the throat.
"Still... too slow."
Daigo roared, frost exploding from his fists.
"WOLF FORM – GREY MAW!!"
A massive crystal wolf head burst out of his chest, lunging at Enzo. The hallway turned to frost—furniture shattered.
Enzo time-skipped backward—appearing mid-wall, arms folded.
"Clever. But you rely on emotion. Predictable."
"Then predict this—"
Yeaga threw a blade backward.
Daigo caught it, spun, and—SLICED the gear behind Enzo's head.
CRRRK-KKSHH.
TIME STUTTERED.Enzo's halo cracked for 0.2 seconds.He became tangible.
And Yeaga was already there.
"YOU BLEED LIKE US—!!"
SLASH. RIGHT SHOULDER.
Enzo SCREAMED. Time around him glitched—hallway lights flickered between years. The wallpaper turned from 2001 to 1922 to 2088.
The hotel was breaking.
But he was still standing.
"You... insects. You made me feel pain."

Time devoured itself.Yeaga was suddenly 4 years younger.Daigo's body reverted to his child form, then violently aged forward—muscles tearing.
"YEA—AGA—!!" Daigo screamed.
Yeaga staggered. One blade broken. One lung punctured.
"D-Don't... Don't let him win."
They stood side by side, barely alive.
Bleeding. Burned. Broken.
And Enzo hovered, untouchable.
"Your clocks have stopped."
Yeaga smirked.
"We never needed clocks..."
Daigo coughed blood.
"We fight on instinct."
They lunged—one last strike—Yeaga's scythe aimed for the heart.Daigo's frost punch aimed for the neck.
BOTH STOPPED.Mid-air. Suspended.
Enzo stood perfectly still. Time locked.
"Good try," he whispered.
And he let them fall.
Yeaga hit the floor.Daigo next to him, twitching, barely breathing.
The hallway reassembled.
Enzo walked off.
"Die slowly. You've earned it."
