Urban Supreme Wild Son-in-Law War God-Chapter 718: Do You Require Service?
"Otherwise, once targeted by someone with bad intentions, that would be seriously bad," Bai Ling cautioned them. Hearing this, Ye Ling and the others nodded in understanding.
Bai Ling then led Ye Ling and the others to the black market, and naturally, they all donned masks and sunglasses to conceal their appearances.
"Rumor has it that this black market was created by the cooperation of several Saints, including the City Lord of Leiths. Whether this is true or not, I cannot say," Bai Ling said.
"It must be true. After all, for a place like this to survive, it definitely needs the support of a very powerful force. If they couldn't even manage that, I'm afraid they would've been wiped out by other powers long ago."
"Moreover, the rules of this black market are very strict. Once you violate the rules of the black market, all of the strong individuals here will not let you off, so you all must be careful."
After Bai Ling finished speaking, everyone nodded their heads in agreement, as these rules were indeed very strict; otherwise, how could they possibly get by in Leiths?
Upon entering the great gates of the black market, Ye Ling and the others immediately noticed the open space filled with an array of weapons.
There were also some oddly shaped arms, some even forged from unknown materials, which looked incredibly destructive and dangerous.
In front of these weapons were rows upon rows of shelves, laden with all kinds of items, from crystals and jewelry to herbs, and other miscellaneous goods; the variety dazzled the eyes.
Next to the shelves stood a beautiful attendant wearing a red cheongsam, her soft bosom threatening to spill out the front, involuntarily making one swallow their saliva.
This maid seemed quite young, barely eighteen or nineteen, and despite her youth, she was very provocative.
Noticing Gao Quan's peculiar interest, Bai Ling covered her mouth and laughed, "Would you like her to spend the night with you? All the women who show their faces here on the black market are up for the choosing, these attendants all provide professional services!"
Upon hearing Bai Ling's words, Gao Quan's eyes instantly lit up, and he blurted out, "Really?"
Ye Ling shook his head helplessly, "No need, we are just here to buy some high-grade identification plates."
Ye Ling knew Gao Quan wanted to have some fun here which was why he was so eager.
"Alright then."
"Let me give you a brief introduction. This black market has three streets, each selling a variety of items, and there's even one street dedicated to the sale of secret information, which is very expensive."
"The other two streets sell items like elixirs, magical artifacts, Cultivation Techniques, and some weapons, as well as various secret manuals."
"Of course, this includes some exotic weapons, but I would advise you best stay away from those."
"After all, the weapons here are very expensive and may have been obtained through murder and looting. If they were recognized, that would cause serious trouble," Bai Ling said with a smile. One had to admit, this black market held an immense allure to newcomers.
"Of course, being a black market, there are naturally auctions and the identification plates you need should be available there."
"Alright, follow me to the fork in the road ahead, and I will give you further directions."
After finishing her explanation, Bai Ling led Ye Ling and the others forward. At the crossroads, they saw several patrol guards, each group numbering five or six, and all quite strong, being early-stage Sovereign Realm practitioners at least.
These individuals each had a black badge on their wrist, inscribed with "Leiths."
It appeared they were the personnel responsible for maintaining order in the black market.
"This here is the auction house of the black market. It holds auctions every few days. If you are lucky, you might be able to get a high-grade identification plate," Bai Ling said, pointing at a building in front of the black market.
The building was cylindrical, surrounded by a ring of iron fences, resembling a small palace. At the entrance to the palace, there was also a shiny golden plaque with the word "Black Market" inscribed on it in large letters.
"You guys go ahead. I'll wait for you outside since entering the auction requires the payment of energy stones, so I won't go in with you," said Bai Ling, waving to Ye Ling and his companions, who nodded in response.
Under Bai Ling's watchful eye, Ye Ling and his group entered the black market. At the entrance, something akin to a guard emotionlessly said, "To enter the auction, each person must pay a hundred energy stones."
Ye Ling secretly clicked his tongue; this auction was really raking it in. An average low-class person wouldn't earn a hundred energy stones in a day.
However, such an amount of energy stones was insignificant to Ye Ling, who, after paying the fee, entered the auction with his companions.
Inside the auction, the air was thick with the scent of potent herbs, invigorating one's mind and spirits to full alertness.
Nothing was more eye-catching than the interior decor, which was incredibly luxurious, including the exquisitely arranged tables and chairs that were clearly not meant for just anyone to occupy.
In the very center of the auction area stood a meter-high platform with each of its four corners intricately carved from black jade, faintly glowing with a pale green light.
Atop this platform lay a set of black armor, beautiful and extremely sturdy, further protected by a faint defensive barrier to prevent close-up thievery.
It was surrounded by many Formations, which would activate immediately if tampered with, blasting away any would-be thief.
Indeed, the core area of the black market was much more powerful than any regular shop, from every aspect. Such a scene would be entirely impossible anywhere else.
The auction already saw many people entering the auction hall. Within this vast hall, numerous tables were present, many of them already filled with attendees.
After Ye Ling and his companions casually found seats, an attendant in a cheongsam came over.
Holding a booklet and displaying a professional smile, the attendant said, "Hello, sir, this is the item catalog for today's auction. Please have a look."
Ye Ling nodded and took the booklet to start scrutinizing it carefully.
Flipping through page by page, he saw each page listed different items with tags noting the names of various rare materials.
One couldn't deny that the items in the black market were truly priceless treasures.
