Ultimate Cash System-Chapter 26: Booking a Lawyer.

The lawyer's office was on the second floor. The building looked nice, and Lukas took the stairs. The first thing he noticed was how organized everything was in the building.

Lukas entered through the glass door. There was a beautiful woman in the reception, and she was taking calls. The atmosphere inside the office looked very busy.

Guess you need a better office when you're operating on an international level.

"Hello, sir, How may I help you?" The gorgeous receptionist asks while standing up,

" Yes, I need to consult someone who can help me with an IT company, I am just starting." Lukas went ahead towards the counter with a smile. With a million dollars in his bank, he was somewhat confident.

" I am guessing this is our first time here?" The receptionist asked with a very smooth tone, her voice wasn't offensive at all, she was a smooth talker.

"Yes, is there any problem?" Lukas asked, he was looking around the office because it was very classy and everyone dressed well.

" No problem. It's just that not every lawyer is always available. There are court hearings and a lot of fieldwork. The lawyer you need is called 'Clinton.' He is an intellectual property lawyer and not available right now. I can, however, for a small fee, book an appointment for you.

Lukas nodded his head, as this is the best lawyer's office around, so he needed a lawyer from here. It cost him $200 cash to get an appointment.

Lukas checked the time, and the bank was closed at this time, so he returned to his dormitory. It was six in the afternoon, and Lukas, as usual, sat at his study table, finished his academic studies, and then opened his laptop.

The laptop felt very slow, but he was getting used to the old technologies. He felt blessed nonetheless to get another chance at life.

Lukas suddenly remembered he had sent $500 home some days ago to his father's account, and he hadn't even called, so he decided to call today to let his father know he was doing well.

Lukas didn't have to go downstairs now that he had a cellphone, his father also owned a factory-given cellphone, so he called him up.

" Hello, this is Martin."

" Dad, it's me, Lukas. How are you"?

"Luke? Well, I am doing well. How about you"?

" I am doing fine as well. How are Mom and Noah doing?"

Lukas first talked casually over the phone, then, as it was getting late and his father sleeps early, the conversation came to an end with Lukas's father, Ronald, getting shocked.

"You sent that $500? I tried to return the money to the bank, and they said the transaction was genuine and they couldn't take back the money.

" Of course I earned it on the first day. Tomorrow I am going to the practice session. If everything goes well, your boy will earn big. Trust me, Dad, I am a baseball genius," Lukas said. He was acting such a way because his father wouldn't take his money easily, and if he knew he would earn more, maybe he would take it.

"Sigh! If it was a different day, I would have saved this money for you, but you know how things are in the family. Your mother will need a medicine that will cost $300. Insurance won't cut it. I am really sorry for being a failure of a father, Lukas. A cracked voice came from the other side as the man as strong as a mountain was almost shaken from the pressure.

" Dad, I am your eldest son. Of course you need to share some burdens with me. Don't take any loans from anyone. I'll send some money soon when I sign that contract. I will at least get 20K, so don't worry about me,"Lukas said. Then both of them talked for a bit and ended the call.

Lukas smiled after reaching an agreement with his father, his father was shocked to find out his talent is baseball, and he was awarded a $500 check from the university.

Sometimes you need to lie to do something very good, maybe this $500 will keep him sane.

Although Lukas has tons of money, he can't just hand it out to his father, his father will ask questions. He will give it to him after he gets an official contract.

Lukas saw it was ten at night, and he slept peacefully, but his peaceful sleep didn't last long, at 3 in the morning, he got a call.

Lukas saw the number, it was Annie. Although he felt aggrieved, he still received the phone.

"Hello, Annie."

"Wow, such a manly voice," Annie replied as Lukas just woke up from his sleep and his voice was very deep.

"Y... Yeah, I was sleeping. You didn't sleep"? Lukas asked, as the reality was dawning on him every second he remembered he had to call her, but he forgot after being very busy.

" I did sleep. I had an audition in an hour, so I just wanted to talk with someone. I am very excited and nervous," Annie replied. Her tone was cheerful.

"Well, I thought I was a morning person, but hearing your voice being so cheerful, I guess I am not that morning person after all," Lukas replied and then sat on his bed. He was feeling uncomfortable lying down and talking on the phone.

" I just slept early last night and was too nervous to sleep the whole night, so when do you normally get up?" Annie asked, Lukas, were you just rubbing your face to disperse the sleep in your eyes?"

" 5 or 6 in the morning," Lukas replied.

"Then you are a morning person, trust me, people don't wake up this early," Annie said. Then they talked for one hour, then Annie went to her auditions, and Lukas wasn't in the mood to sleep anymore, so he got up and jogged for 1 hour and then exercised for another hour.

Then he studied the books outside of the academy to broaden his horizons and dressed up for his trip to Trenton Thunder.
